"After a mishap with our room reservation at the St Regis and coming to find that our room was not on the books and the hotel was completely sold out, my husband and I decided to keep out dinner reservations at Stonehill Tavern and we are thrilled we did. Our server, Christopher, had heard about the issue and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was phenomenol. Our night went from a low to a high very quickly with his help. The food was incredible and it was truly a dining experience. We would definitely return!"

"We loved Stonehill Tavern for our anniversary dinner! We worked with the Sommelier to create out own tasting menu and wine pairing. It was perfect! The food was high quality and fresh! The presentation was wonderful and the service was great too! We will definitely go back!"

"Absolutely amazing! We've been here twice now, and both times we've enjoyed some of the best meals we have ever had. The Lobster Pot Pie is absolutely incredible, the Huckleberry souffle is superb, and the service is second to none. Five stars all around."

"Tasting menu was awesome with well-chosen wine pairings. The pacing, however, was far too rushed sometimes with a course arriving before the previous one was finished."

"Another very good Michael Mina restaurant. Menu contained most of his standards which we have eaten before in Las Vegas and San Francisco. Our server, Melissa, made the evening. She was excellent in her service. True credit to the restaurant. Additional note, MOTIF, in the St. Regis was outstanding as well (dinner). Don't miss it."

"This was out 3rd or 4th visit to the Stonehill Tavern. In previous visits it was outstanding. For some reason, this time it was a bit disappointing. The people are great, but we were disappointed in the menu. It actually took a while to figure out what to order because nothing sounded exceptional. Once we did, the food was merely "OK". For a $230 dinner for two, I would have expected much better. I doubt we'll return."

"Great OC find. Both dinners were superb, the lamb and scallops were presented artfully and satisfied our 50th Anniversary requirements completely! Service was exemplary as was the support of the entire staff...definitely will return."

"I thought the food was good but not great (it should be for the price) and the portions were very small, almost like small plates; i.e. scallops entree had 3 scallops spread on a large plate. I had the black cod. It was very tasty but nothing I would go back for. The bar with the booths looks cozier than where we sat in the dining room. We couldn't see the view at night but I imagine it would be great to be there for sunset."

"Well, just about everything was disappointing. From the rservation process where after we made our reservation, we get a strange call demanding that we sign a contract and provide a credit card just to eat there the day after valentine's day, to the mediocre food. Although all the food had a nice presentation, their supposed famous lobster pie was pretty bad. The crust was hard and tasteless, the the sauce was more of a runny soup. The lobster was totally tough and overcooked. The only thing I really enjoyed was the salad, although my husband did like his steak. We both felt the menu was very limited and not very enticing; hard to find something you really wanted to eat."

"We had a nice evening at Stonehill Tavern. The service was on par with what I would expect and the food met or exceeded expectations. We enjoyed an amazing Vouvray and a stellar Pinot Noir from Oregon. Beginning with the unique bread service with ricotta and honey and ending with the "candy bar" dessert, the food was fantastic. I will tell you that our dinner for two cost about $600 after tip, so be ready for that. :)"

"First time dining at Stonehill Tavern and it will not be the last! The service was attentive but not over bearing. The food was beautifully presented, creative, and delicious. I had the black cod, every bite was amazing. The wine list is notable and the sommelier is knowledgeable and very helpful. Just a lovely dining experience."
