"My first time to Bangkok Garden and my co-worker and I enjoyed our meal. The decor is fantastic everything imported in from Thailand, the hostess and servers are professional and curteous. The servers are knowledgeable about the items on the menu and their names in Thai.
I ordered the Tom Yum Soup and Scallops Stirfry. The meal was hot, well prepared and fresh! excellent taste and presentation. I enjoyed it and highly recomend the Bangkok Garden!"

"We love dining at Bangkok Garden! Each visit we leave even more impressed and this time around was no different. The new Chili Festival menu (limited time - only for May) has some fantastic dishes that will please the mild spicy palate and the extra spicy palate! Attentive service without being overbearing and new delicious dishes that are authentic, has us coming back to this neighbourhood gem of ours! Great for girls nights, family dinners (we've taken our toddler here many a time) and date night! We had a great date night last week!"

"went with colleagues to celebrrate birthday of a friend.... They were very welcomimg about the ideaof bringing a cake ofmy choice from outside. They kept it in fridge until i asked to briing it after our hour long lunch... and to my surprize they added candles and broughtit nicely to the table... it made our day... they went extramile to make us happy and welcoming...
Staff was very friendly; the food there was as always great with veg and non-veg options,basically something for every one....

"We had a great time celebrating our friend's birthday there. In fact, this was the second time the same group met there after our spa get together. The food was good and price reasonable. Service was a bit slow though that evening. We definitely would come back and tried other dishes. Mango salad and green curry were amazing. Thanks for allowing us to bring our own birthday cake."

"With all the Thai restaurants in the city...it's hard to appreciate Thai food that doesn't really feel authentic. Bangkok Garden has been around for a long time...and it is surviving. I hadn't been there since the early 80's..not sure I'll be back soon. Great location, great room, ok food, ok experience.
Nothing negative...just nothing to rave about.

"Our group of four enjoyed well made and spicy Thai dishes. The server recommended the dishes and he was right. The ambience was pleasant, however the lighting in certain areas is harsh. We asked to have the spot lights dimmed on two occasions.
I was a little disappointed that when we arrived there was no one to great us and inform us of the status of our reservation. We waited for about 5 minutes until we were seated. Once seated the service was excellent, friendly and helpful.
I will go back the next time I'm in town."

"I met a friend at the Bangkok Garden for lunch--close to my office. I had no expectations. I liked the ambience--lots of wood and quiet enough to have a conversation. Excellent hostess who greeted me warmly, took my coat and directed me to the table. Later brought my guest directly to the table. buffet was excellent: good food, especially the curries and the soup table. Summary: great food, great service and good value for the money. "This was our first time to Bangkok Gardens and we absolutely loved it! The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous. It has a nice dim lighting to it, a little waterfall and pond with jumbo goldfish, plants, flowers and such a peaceful and relaxing feel to it. The green curry was the best I've ever had! The service was excellent and I was able to get a side of the glass noodles even though it wasn't offered as a side on the menu. The serenity tea was delicious! We both would highly recommend this place to any couple wanting a nice romantic and relaxing evening, or even a birthday party group looking for a chill atmosphere and beautiful ambience."

"The price point is way too high. Even with the coupon I used (free entree at $20) it was still too expensive. I would expect double the portions at the price charged. At other restaurants (that charge less) I always have food to take home. The quality has gone up a tad in recent years but still not as authentic as they claim to be. If Bangkok Garden wants to up their game I suggest they take notes from Sukho Thai!"

"I have been here many times and really enjoyed the food. My recent visit was disappointing. I did not end up eating my dinner and asked my friend to eat it. Everyone who tried it said it was the worst thing they had eaten. The menu read "red curry paste". The dish was like a clear broth, chicken was overcooked. When I raised it with the server, he indicated that it was like he said, no coconut in the curry. Then he said that there had been a similar previous complaint about this dish and brought the chef out to talk to me. The chef explained there was curry paste mixed in the broth. I suggested better labelling the menu.I would not have ordered it if I knew it was a clear broth but he was defensive.No apologies/adjustment and still hung"

"We went for the lunch buffet right before our spa reservation at the adjoining Elmwood Spa. There were a good selection of appetizers, soups, curries, noodles, etc. I especially enjoyed the noodle soup bar, where you choose a protein and seasonings to make your own noodle soup.
Service could be improved, however.
I came back to my table many times and my discarded plate wasn't picked up. There was also an issue with the bill that wasn't clearly stated. I didn't find the manager very friendly at all."

"The three-chili chicken and ginger beef were fresh and well cooked. The rice was perfect. However, the sticky rice dessert was inedible (and a shocking colour of green), the mango salad was too thickly sliced, and it was apparent that the Winterlicious dishes weren't given nearly as much attention as those going to regular customers. This restaurant's saving grace is the beautiful decor."

I was expecting to love Bangkok Garden, and I did, right up until I started eating.
Though it looked something like the Thai food I've loved for decades, the signature Thai ingredients were minimized.
The menu speaks of 'balancing the five tastes', but everything about our six dishes was surprisingly bland. Not so the later heartburn."

"Good buffet spread. Crammed dining area - just no room to move from where I was seated without hovering over someone behind me or ramming into the table behind me. Slighlty awkward layout and crammed space for buffet table and ice-cream bar missing - Coconut icecream is what we always look for when we go for Thai food and we missed that."

"I am sorry, But the food was cold and they insisted I had no reservations when I had a confirmation via email from them. They found it after I argued with them that I was going to ask to speak to the owner.
The food would have been great if the food was hot as one cannot eat Thai food not hot
We were family of 4. The wine was good, so also was the ambience. I just hoped the food was VOW!!!!!"
