"If you like to cook the main course, ie: steak, lobster tails, duck etc., then you might like the place. The food comes out raw which we didn't know about, so that was a big, not so great surprise. I had to cook my own mother's day dinner."

"Went here for a quiet dinner. Server was very professional, and friendly, adding to the experience. Some of the seasonings on the proteins are a bit overwhelming, conflicting with the cooking broths; but still very good. Will be back. Be ready to spend some time for a dinner here; the ambiance is very quiet and relaxed, allowing you to enjoy ever course."

"This is one of the best date spots I have found. The private tables are perfect for a romantic be by yourself meal. They have tables where you don't see anyone but your waiter. Take the tour of the place if it is your first time, it goes on forever unexpectedly.
The dipping sauces are all tasty, some combinations with the meats are better than others, but not a bad one. This restaurant could be a desert stop because the chocolate fondue with all the tasty dipping items like chocolate marshmallows, mini cheesecake, graham crackers, pound cake, etc were all fun.
Overall this was a great experience.

"We ate at the Melting Pot last week as a quick meal before a movie, was wonderful. Server was very attentive, quiet table and pleasant. Decided to go back this weekend with my husband's daughter. Server was okay, did not give you any insight or explanation on the menu, was no where in sight when we needed him. Also, sat at a very noisy table, on route to the rest rooms for the birthday parties, so lots of kids running back and forth.
Food was good, but again, if we had not been at the restaurant the week before, we would not have understood any of the options...."

"It was my family's first time going to The Melting Pot and we absolutely loved it. My daughter was ecstatic over the fondue choices and walked out completely chocolate satisfied. The waiter was extremely helpful with the menu and the food choices we might like. More over, the manager came to out table and asked if we were having a good time and talked with us for a while. Don't see that very often in other restaurants."

"Probably one of the absolute worst dining experiences I have had in a long time! We went with our kids on a Monday night. Staff was very unprofessional. Sat for over an hour and a half before receiving our first cheese course..., kids were starving! Cancelled our main and went straight to dessert. Basically, we fed our kids chocolate and some stale cake for dinner. Waiter was unapologetic and not the most educated when it came to figuring out the bill. People at the next table were complaining to the manager as well. Claustrophobic atmosphere. Very expensive and awful experience. Would never go back!"

"Our first time with two kids and a toddler. So many moments made it a lovely evening. Our 12yo had her birthday and was surprised by a simple candle on her meal PLUS the StraightAs club (when I browse the site) proved to be such a moral boost for my daughter!! The manager spent a Lon moment congratulating her! Toddler was even given a balloon to help fight the boredom germs (tough for little guy to sit through a long meal)

"I had made a reservation 2 weeks prior for my daughter's birthday and requested a corner booth. The restaurant was not crowded yet they wanted to seat us in a "hallway" section of the resaurant. I had to remind them of our request for a corner booth. We found out that there wasn't any teriyaki sauce as the teriyaki sirloin was being served to us. Then after we orderd 2 dessert fondues, we found out that there wasn't any milk chocolate only dark chocolate. We never would have eaten there if we had known that the dessert fondues were not available!"

"Disappointed that there were no more kids cups, my kids had to drink out of heavy glass. They ran out of teriyaki sauce and our waitress kept forgetting the chocolate covered strawberries I ordered. Very minor things... but overall I love this place which keeps me coming back."

"We went as a family with children to celebrate. We had a large private booth and the server learned all my children's names immediately. He was excellent at explaining the different course options and recommending cooking styles based on what we ordered. Everything tasted fabulous and we felt relaxed during our entire dinner (which lasted over 3 hours - shocker)"

"My experience at the Melting Pot in white plains was great. The service was awesome and our server explained everything thoroughly and was extremely helpful. The setting was also perfect due to the privacy of our little dim lit booth which fit well for the occasion since I was having a late valentines day dinner. The food and fondue was also superb and plentiful. All and all I had a great time and would definitely do it again."

"I came here on Valentines day with the whole family. From the start we could tell the server, although friendly, was not informed of the menu, which she later explained by saying she was new. We did the 4 course meal, which for the price, was completely disappointing. The portions were too small for everyone, and the fondue size was apparently meant for two people when he had more than that. To top it off, halfway through the meal, the general manager came to our table and told us that we had to hurry up because they were overbooked due to the holiday. It was by far the rudest thing that has ever happened to me in a restaurant. They also messed up the bill at the end. Needless, to say I won't be going back."
