"We chose to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Illinois State University by dinning at Biaggi's prior to the commencement ceremony. We had a group of 10 and everything went smoothly. Our table was ready for us on time, our servers were fantastic (friendly and professional), and the food was delicious! We have been to Biaggi's many times and have never been disappointed. In fact, our older daughter was recently married and Biaggi's catered the reception. Again, everything was perfect! We still get compliments about how wonderful the food was. We definitely recommend Biaggi's for a very pleasant dinning experience every time!"

"We had a great Mothers Day gathering at the Bloomington Biaggi's. On a very busy day the staff was attentive and kept us informed regarding the status of our meals. We all traveled to Bloomington-a central location with each family traveling 2 hours. You can imagine how delighted we were having a positive experience!"

"We went for mother's day dinner. The food and service were quite good, but the room was so noisy that it was difficult to talk. Granted, it was a special occasion and was packed to the gills, but it would be nice if there were more barriers between tables to keep the noise down just a bit."

"On one of the busiest nights of the year we had a great dinner. They were a few minutes behind but it's Mother's Day, got a drink at the bar, no big deal. Dinner was fabulous, the kids meals for my children were great, and our waiter wonderful."

"Biaggi's food and service is always consistently great. Even though it is located in the midwest the chef always cooks their fish perfectly. Being from the East Coast it is difficult to find good fish here and Biaggi's is a great restaurant for fish as well as many other menu items."

"We chose this restaurant for our son's college graduation day lunch because we had been there before and had had a wonderful dinner. Once again I must say our lunch was great! The food was delicious with a varied menu from which to choose. The servers were very friendly and efficient, explaining everything and answering any questions we had. They were most accommodating, bringing over a high chair immediately for the baby ( even before we could ask for one!), and they suggested and brought a dish of macaroni and cheese for him extremely quickly. (If the baby ain't happy, then no one's happy!) Overall it was a great time which only added to the happiness of the day!"

"I enjoy this restaurant chain because although it is an Italian restaurant and you would think unfriendly to those of us who can't handle gluten, they have a tasty gluten-free menu. Plus gluten-free bread that doesn't taste like cardboard (probably because there is so much oil on it, but it works for me)! I can eat with my pasta-loving pals and actually enjoy a meal, unlike any experience I have had at Olive Garden. The wine is good too, but I don't claim to be an expert on that."

"The service was great, we never went dry and our server was very helpful, patient, and pleasant. The drinks were well done, but a bit overpriced. The atmosphere was nice, there was a lot of movement and servers were good about being aware of what was happening around them. The bread lives up to its reputation, but I don't think the food was perfect this time. The flavor combinations struck me a little oddly, for instance, the fish of the day was sweet and spicy, but I don't think it was well-balanced."

"Overall, this was a good dinner. Excellent wine & lobster-crab dip was delicious. Messina salad outstanding. Mahi-Mahi entre a bit over seasoned & salty. The fresh veggies sounded great, but again, were over seasoned. Scallops entre was great. Waitresses were very good & attentive. We'll come back, but will probably choose pasta next time."

"We had 6:30 reservation. We arrived on time and was seated promptly. Our waiter greeted us immediately and took our drink order. Drinks arrived promptly and he took our food order. Our salads arrived promptly then it was all down hill from there. It was taking too long for food to arrive. I asked to speak to the manager. He arrived and I explained about our long wait. He said he would check on it. Our waiter wanted to know what was wrong and we informed him of our long wait. He too said he would check on it, but instead of him going to the kitchen, he walked away to wait on another table. The manager shortly brought out our food and said he was sorry about the wait. He said they where swamped with high school prom parties. we waited 40 mins"

"I made a reservation for my birthday online a day ahead. They did not have a table ready for me at the scheduled time. When I indicated we would take an available high top in the bar for my family and me, they told me to seat ourselves and a waiter would be along shortly. I can't imagine being told to seat myself after making a reservation a day ahead of time. On top of that it took a waiter about half an hour to stop at our table. He was very good, but my view toward Biaggi's has changed. I won't be recommending this restaurant to my friends and family in the future. So much for the special birthday with my family."

"Maybe it was our waitress. She asked if we wanted to hear the specials, and then mentioned which was her favorite and handed over the specials menu. Experienced the same once before, but wrote it off as being the Champaign location. We declined appetizers but asked for bread. When it never showed up, I asked the waitress again. She said bread was somebody else's responsibility. It finally came, not at all fresh, and limited. Entrees were smaller too. Looks like Biaggi's is cutting back whereever they can. Found what appeared to be a long (8") dried up weed stem, like an overgrown blade of crabgrass in my salad. In retrospect, I should have asked for a manager. Quality and service severely wanting at a time restaurant was not busy"

"It was not our best Biaggis experience. It was my wife's birthday and we had a surprise party at Biaggis. I called ahead about it. Usually at a restaurant the waiter/staff does something special for a birthday occasion. It seemed like our waiter was more interested talking to us about everything that was on the menu other than making our occasion special. The service was pretty slow and our table was not ready until about 15 minutes after our reservation time. The food was good as usual, but I was not impressed with the overall experience. We will probably be back, but are hoping for a better experience next time."

"I was expecting a higher level of cooking. My risotto was overcooked, starchy and very sticky and pasty, inedible really. My 19 year old said upon first bite that her chicken parmesan tasted like Pringles, which seemed odd but my other daughter concurred. The bread was fresh and the bruschetta was tasty but those were the only redeeming food notes. I can cook better than this at home and so it was disappointing to pay to go out and eat worse. Sadly, our entire party unanimously agreed this will not be an establishment to which we return."

"I had been to Biaggi's before for dinner dates, which were always wonderful with the delicious food and exemplary service, but dining there as a party of ten was equally as wonderful. The waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and the wine list, was able to make wine recommendations based on our food orders, and was overall, appropriately enthusiastic and personable. Biaggi's is my favorite place to go for eggplant parmesan, and even though everyone in our group ordered something different, we all enjoyed our meals thoroughly."

"If you like pasta with seafood, the Cappelini de Mare will fill you up with mussels, scallops, shrimp and clams in a spicy tomato based sauce. They were featuring a red velvet cake for dessert and it was a good choice. The place is loud and vibrant and the food is always good. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. He arrived when needed but not to often. With concert tickets awaiting, the waiter promptly provided the check so we didn't have to wait. The Manager stopped by the table to check on things during the meal as well. I've been to Biaggi's many times and there is a good reason for returning."

"We held a retirement dinner for one of our co-workers. There were 12 of us total and they were very attentive and did a great job. It was nice that they were able to give us a table in the back of the restaurant as it was a little more quiet and intimate, but for a busy Friday night it was very good."

"The food was outstanding! They have an entire gluten free menu and we were so impressed by it! They do a great job catering to special food needs and being very kind about it. They brought us gluten free bread that was delicious! Every time our glasses got low, they were immediately filled up by someone on the wait staff. The waiters all worked together as a team and helped each other out. Highly recommend!"

"I chose Biaggi's as the restaurant of choice to take a friend from the east coast because I have been nothing but impressed every time I came, until now. I was incredibly embarrassed. I was so excited & talking up Biaggi's to our friend all day.
Positives: Seated quickly, waitress greeted us quickly & kindly, telling us the specials, first round of drinks were quick, 1 of 2 appetizers were delicious, most of the entrees were delicious.
Negatives: Additional bread basket request was delivered after 10 minutes, calamari was chewy, scallop entree was lacking flavor and size, waitress was inattentive, martini glass was chipped, left overs forgotten in the back, no manager interacting with guests. I did not complain, just disappointed."
