Sister restaurant to Tsunami Lafayette, we offer a diverse menu which focuses on obtaining the freshest seafood and all around ingredients available. Our menu has remained water cooler conversation with its Japanese and Eastern fare, striving to add innovative new dishes as we travel the globe sampling ideas and bringing them back to our beloved customers. Food offerings include standard sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi. In addition to our fresh Japanese tempura and teriyaki dishes, TSUNAMI also offers delicious Asian inspired specials on Friday and Saturday evenings, ranging from duck to wahoo to ribeye steak prepared by our award winning chefs.

"I was excited to try some sushi in the area and I was told this was the best spot in Baton Rouge. Well, it is the best "spot", but only for the views and energetic atmosphere. The sushis was sub-par, but still good enough to go enjoy the view. I would recommend it, but it's not a place you'll want to return regularly if you're a sushi lover like I."

"Took my fiancee here on a surprise date, as I proposed to her on the rooftop of this restaurant but had never actually eaten here with her! Service was quick, and waiter was both knowledgeable and courteous. Food was excellent; the eggplant appetizer was a bit much for two people, but would have been perfect for 4. The sushi rolls were delicious, and the molten lava cake dessert was well worth the full stomachs. Only complaint we had was my fiancee's Tidal Wave martini; it was very sweet, and didn't mix too well with the sushi."

"I made Friday night reservations with a friend who was visiting and craving sushi. Not only does Tsunami have an amazing view of the Mississippi River and the bridge (especially at night in the outdoor seating area), but the food was also incredible. Between the two of us, we ordered three rolls off the Specials menu: the 412, Phatastic and the spicy Crawfish roll. I ordered the Pomegranate Martini and it was good, fruity and strong. For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate box , which the waitress told us Tsunami was "known for". It was heavenly and rich, and the perfect size for two people. The service was great and the ambience was comfortable, yet sophisticated."

"Our waitress was wonderful. We had fun talking to Ruben and really enjoyed sitting at the bar talking to one of the twins. This was our first visit to the Baton Rouge restaurant. We love the one in Lafayette.
You are good but can't beat Lafayette's Lava roll."

"The sushi at Tsunami is always outstanding! The service is pretty good, my only complaint on this occasion was that the waiter did not know how to open a wax dipped wine bottle that cost $54, and got wax in our wine glasses on the first pour (likely due to inexperience). But the view, the atmosphere, and the FOOD was incredible! The "Chocolate Tsunami" (it wasn't on the menu) is a must for dessert!!! And despite the waiter's inexperience, the bottle of wine (a Cabernet...something with the word garage in it), was out of this world! Overall, the experience was extraordinary! I will definitely be revisiting Tsunami! In the Spring or Fall, it is perfect place to take a romantic date and dine outside on the patio."

"My biggest complaint is that the restaurant itself was up to par with the prices, but the sushi was not. I could get comparable, if not better sushi, at other places for half the cost. I did enjoy the appetizers, desserts, and beverages. I just feel like for a "sushi place" it isn't up to par with other, less expensive sushi places."

"I'm not a big sushi eater at all and will not eat anything raw. Tsunami has numerous cooked options on the menu which I love. If they didn't, I wouldn't be eating there, for sushi at least. Each of the 3 types we ate were wonderful. They tasted fresh, well cooked, and well constructed. I've had the short ribs appetizer in the past, and it was delicious too. I've never had anything I don't like here."

"I went with a group of my girlfriends before my bachelorette party. It was packed for a Thursday night. I recommend making a reservation! We were seated near the back which has a great view of the rooftop and the Mississippi river. The food and drink suggestions were great. Everything I tried was amazing! Also, our server was very help and accomodating even though it said they don't split checks for parties larger than 6. I will definitely be back!!"
