"We shared the bruschetta appetizer, which was tasty enough. The tomatoes looked and tasted a little bland. But the seasonings and the crunchy bread were yummy. My husband had the gorgonzola pasta and declared it fabulous. I had the zuppa de pesce. It was LOADED with seafood. And was a HUGE serving. I managed to get through it all with some assistance from my husband, but I would definitely recommend sharing it with someone.
The prosecco we drank throughout the meal was a nice festive touch. The service was friendly and attentive. We took the waiter's advice about what to order and he didn't steer us wrong. We enjoyed the crunchy, baby-biscotti that came with our after dinner espressos. All in all, a lovely dinner!"

"The food was very very good, one of the best Tiramisu I ever had. Service was friendly and attentive . We liked it so much that we went twice in a row, the second visit for my husband's birthday. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant."

"We really enjoyed our dinner at Tosca. We were there on Good Friday, and worried that it might not be open in spite of our Open Table reservation, as everything in the area was closed. However, it was open, and reasonably busy! The food was fantastic! Portions were generous, and the service was friendly, if a little slow from time to time. It took a while for bread to be brought, and for our dinner plates to be cleared and it took a while to get the bill. We may have noticed this more than others because we had our 9 year old with us, who was getting antsy toward the end. It wouldn't stop me going back, but just something to be aware of. All in all, a wonderful meal, and a lovely spot. I would recommend it."

"I'm really glad I chose this spot on Valentine's day. My reservation with open table was honoured. It was also easy to book which is a bonus. After we were seated we were served by our waiter in no time. Very attentive to details. More than willing to accommodate our requests. The words "thinking outside the box" come to mind while remaining traditional in serving customs and practices. All food was served hot and in a timely manner. He also presented himself multiple times to check on how our food was or if we needed anything. I hope I get the same server next time. If I would change anything it would be the music. Sometimes it was noisy background and other times it lacked any energy or entertainment."

"My girlfriend and I went to Tosca on a Thursday night and were definitely impressed. As we are from out of town, we had not heard anything about the restaurant before seeing it on Open Table, and are glad we tried it. We shared an antipasto platter (peppers, cheese, olives, onions, articokes, salami, ham) which was quite sizeable and tasted great. My girlfriend had the gorgonzola tortelli and I had the penne fortunato. The food was quick, absolutely delicious and in large portions - we were only able to finish half of our mains after the platter. We would have loved to take our left overs back with us but our hotel room didn't have a fridge. We will most definitely be returning here the next time we find ourselves in Ottawa!"

"I would not recommend this restaurant - the food was mediocre at best and the service was terrible. It was empty by 10 pm on a Saturday night. The only positive was the fair prices for wine."

"I was there for a business lunch on a Friday and it was packed. My Open Table reservation was there, and we were seated quickly. Service was very fast considering the number of people, we did have to wave at our server once or twice as we went by. My colleague and I had a wonderful lunch and had paid our bill all within one hour. This is difficult in most restaurants and virtually impossible at busy ones. Thanks to Tosca, they have business lunches all figured out."

"Tosca is one of my favorite restaurants. When I have guests in town, we often take them here. On this evening, my daughter and her boyfriend were here.
The service was not up to Tosca's regular standards...even though the restaurant was not busy.
The waiter took away the bread and olives while we were still enjoying them.
Then he brought out 3 of the 4 entrées (all pasta) and my daughter waited an additional 7-10 minutes for her's to arrive. In my opinion, her choice was the easiest of all 4. Then he didn't offer her cheese & pepper right away.
