"Ate at many different restaurants this week. Blossom has by far the best service. Our water and coffee was refilled constantly. Our waiter knew the menu and was knowledgeable about other places to visit in Charleston. Our meal was excellent. Appreciate that you could choose meat and pork not just fish. Small plates available."

"I went to Blossom with three girlfriends for an early dinner on a Friday night. We enjoyed the ambience and the food. We all got either a small plate or a pizza, and either dish was filling. The She Crab soup was divine. The service was impeccable."

"The outdoor dining is inviting. However, SC summers are sultry. So, that outdoor area would be uncomfortable. The server we had, whose name I have forgotten, was knowledgeable and friendly. I have been at the Blossom and its sister restaurant, the Magnolia on numerous occasions. The latter is more formal and pricey. However, both are enjoyable. Oven fired pizza lovers would easily take to the Blossom."

"I used to go to Blossom a lot when I was younger and remember it being so good. It definitely has not fared well with age. My husband and I went for brunch and everything was pretty sub par. The staff seemed rather disinterested and some clearly didn't want to be there. We couldn't hear the conversation, but there seemed to be a little heated argument going on between the wait staff. Our waiter was nice, just also seemed to just BE there. Food was ok, but nothing special. It might help explain why the restaurant was so empty. I don't know if today's food and service was just a fluke, but I'm not sure that we will return to find out."

"I had high hopes for Blossom based on recommendations from friends, but it sadly didn't live up to them. We went for lunch, which may have been a part of the less-than-stellar food. Sandwiches are never going to measure up to dinner food. The calamari we had for an appetizer was really very good. We also got the salmon club and buttermilk fried flounder sandwiches... neither of which were impressive. Based on our experience, I wouldn't recommend it to friends, but I'm sure there are many who would disagree."

"Not worth $32! After the rest of us were over 3/4 of the way through with our meals, the server "checked" on us. When my husband (who very rarely ever complains about a meal- actually NEVER complains!) said that he couldn'tt eat his (the Tuna was over cooked - asked for Medium Rare - served Well done), the server said that she could bring out another one for him.... By that time everyone had almost finished their meal (slightly small in portions), so he declined... Unfortunately, this restaurant is not what it used to be. Doubt we'll go back again :("

"Blossom's is a restaurant that we always look forward to when we plan a trip to Charleston, actually we try to go more than once. The food is seasonal and it is so hard to make up your mind what to have. The old standbys like shrimp and grits are so good but the chief's specials for the day are fantastic. I had a delightful fish soup and wanted to go back the next day and have it again. My husband had a fried oyster salad, delightful. With our meal we enjoyed a "Sky Valley" sauvignon blanc. Since it was a rainy day we couldn't sit outside but had a great view of the fountain."

"Made dinner out of appetizers and small plates. Fried oysters and fried green tomatos were good. Pickled shrimp was OK but a little small compared to the other appetizers. "Small plate" shrimp and grits was good and bigger in size than I expected. Good restaurant and I would go back. Price was reasonable"

"We stopped in here for a drink and app wile walking in Charleston. We had the calamari, which was done with little southern twist buttermilk fry! My husband slao had the sausage app, and lived it! The bartender was great, and had good advice for things to do and places to eat. We enjoyed our time, so decided to come back for dinner a few nights later.

Another wonderful time! It was so hard to choose what to order because so much looked good! I has the pecan crusted flounder, and it did not disappoint. My husband had the Tuna. We weren't too hungry, so didnt do desert, but the options almost convinced us!

I would definitely recommend Blossom, and plan to be back!"

"My date and I ordered the two items most-recommended by staff: Myself, the mahi-mahi and, for my friend, the duck. The duck is the chef's favorite, and he likes his medium-rare. Both items were flavorful and, personally, I'll go back and order the duck for myself on the next visit!

The sommelier very generously took back a bottle of wine that we suspected of being on the verge of turning, and then recommended something based on what we wanted to order.

Everything turned out perfectly!"

"Had reservations for brunch over Memorial Day weekend. We took seats outside to take advantage of the great weather. Amy was our waitress, I can't say enough about her. She was very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and helpful by offering suggestions on the menu. Amy even loaned me her book on the Spoleto Festival so I could decide which events to take in. The food was fresh, nicely prepared and very reasonably priced. The manager stopped by to see how we were enjoying our meal, that was a nice touch. I feel they truly care about the food they prepare and giving their customers a good dining experience. Will be going back next year when we visit Charleston again."

"Sat outside on a beautiful Sunday morning for brunch. The menu had items that were traditional brunch fare, but also had items that were creative and made the choice more difficult because you wanted to try so many. The wait staff was their usual friendly, informative selves. We eat here often because we know we will have a wonderful experience. "We enjoyed the garden which was quiet and lovely. The food was not as good. My Fried Oyster Salad was so soggy with dressing that the lettuce was wilted. There was no crunch at all in the lettuce or the fried oysters. Everything was just soggy and there was too much of the jelly on the bottom of the plate which made the salad too sweet and also contributed to the sogginess. The salad was somewhat small compared to most entree salads I've eaten. I was still hungry when I left. Please give your waiters cocktail napkins to put under water & ice tea glasses. Our table was awash with pools of water from all the glasses. Having said all that, I would give it one (but only one) more try and stay away from the salads."

"I made reservations the day before our visit for Sunday brunch. They called that evening to confirm, which was great. We arrived almost 30 minutes before our reservation, and they seated us immediately! The food was wonderful, we didn't feel rushed at all, and I appreciated the fact that it wasn't a buffet, but a fabulous menu that both my husband and I enjoyed and our 15 year old was easily able to find something she liked. We loved the small outdoor seating area, and look forward to trying the indoor area as well. Overall a fabulous experience. We'll be back!"

"I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. The food was fabulous!!! My husband and I were here for our anniversary and the manager came over with a complementary glass of champagne for each of us. We both had mahi mahi and it was the best we had ever had. This will be at the top of our list when we return to Charleston."

"We had a wonderful dining experience - all the staff were very friendly, food was fantastic and our evening was made special! This was my first time dining at Blossom but it lived up to the recommendations I had received. I have already suggested it to a number of people and will be going back soon!"
