BLT Steak opens its first West Coast outpost in the famed Le Dome space on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles. The restaurant combines elements of the American steakhouse with those of a French brasserie, and features a stylish, urbane design. The menu features over 10 different cuts of meat including Herb Marinated American Kobe Skirt Steak; the “BLT” Cut Bone-in Double Sirloin; Rack of Lamb; Veal Chop and the crowd-pleasing 40-ounce Porterhouse for Two in addition to both American Wagyu and Japanese Kobe. Fish highlights include Spiced Swordfish, Grilled Tuna and Sautéed Dover Sole, served classically with butter and capers. The selection of sides at BLT Steak are simply prepared, yet inventive. Creamy Spinach has a touch of Gruyere; crisp Onion Rings are served in a towering display; and a selection of eight potato varieties span from Potato Skins to Potato Gnocchi.
"Went to BLT for my birthday. Being one of the few high-end steakhouses in L.A. I'd never been to, I had to give it a try. I got the caesar sals, which was very good, and the rib-eye, which was perfectly cooked to order and had great flavor. For dessert they had a special which was beignets with hazelnut/chocolate inside, and that was a fantastic dessert. I'd recommend it to any meat-lover looking for a good steak."

"BLT was almost empty on Saturday night when every other restaurant in the area was packed Expect to pay $80 per person for just food without alcohol. The service was horrendous. The waiter showed up periodically but not when when needed. This poor service combined with the emptiness of the restaurant when everything other place is packed made the visit to BLT Steak very a very dull and disappointing evening. I would never go back or recommend it to anyone. If you want to spend less money and be part of the LA scene, go right down the street to BOA Steakhouse or Fig & Olive which both have "Wow" architecture, great food and thriving lively crowds. It is though somewhat harder to get reservations at these places."

"Recently dined here with my husband for a date night. We were not impressed. The food was quick to the table, however, our steaks came out luke warm and although I ordered my steak medium rare, it was almost rare. Our busseres were very attentive. Our server on the other hand, was absent after he took our order. We both sat with empty cocktail glasses the whole dinner!! He never came back to see if we wanted to order another (which we would have) so thats lost sales on his behalf. In a city where there is so much competition I am surprised at the lack of hospitality. Perhaps some of their service is on point, but there is so much more to a dining experience then that. We will not choose to return any time soon."

"Went to BLT for an anniversary dinner. I had seen good reviews for this place and it had feedback that said it was romantic. However, I did NOT find it to be romantic. The tables were too close together. My girlfriend and I were closer to the people at neighboring tables than to each other. The food was eh, ok. The steaks were pretty good and we had a little side of brussel sprouts which were yummy but the chicken pate, pop overs (which people apparently swoon about) and the brownies were eh at best. It is nice that they offer these three things free of charge but it doesn't change the fact that they just aren't that tasty in my opinion.
It had good service but just not what I was expecting."

"Considering the prices, the food is mediocre. Most of the dishes lack flavor and complexity. Beet salad was heavy on huge chunks of beet, given the tiny portion of mache and skimpy amount of gorgonzola. The petite filet was barely 8 oz. if that, and was cut poorly (in chunks rather than one nice, rounded piece). Brussels spouts and mushrooms were hard and undercooked. Complimentary chicken pate and giant popovers brought to the table were a nice touch, but a bit of a strange accompaniment. Desserts were odd - pear gelato on top of graham cracker-crusted cheesecake - why? The menu is all over the place and needs focus."

"Restaurant was accommodating of late arrival. In spite of a majority open tables, we were rushed on drink and food orders...little surprised by the 3rd check-in during first 10 minutes of having wine list and menu. We were told the specialty bread of the restaurant would come as soon as food order was placed but pop-overs didn't arrive until 10 minutes later & just ahead of appetizers which crowded the table & meant either bread or soup would get cold. Steaks and sides were delicious and cooked to specification and the house donuts were a delicious dessert. Coffee ordered at time of dessert order but never arrived & required getting up to request it from the service station. We will visit again but hope to find the service improved."

"I love this restaurant! I go there for special occasions, as it's pricey, but well worth it. The food is top notch, presented beautifully, and made exactly as requested. They also have innovative and delicious desserts. The service is always attentive and friendly. It's my favorite restaurant in LA!"

"Great 3rd time dining experience. Chef Paul Neidermann's tableside visit made the evening even more special. As dedicated followers of Ramsay's competition winners, Neidermann did not let us down. The food was delicious (steaks were the best!), the side dishes were excellent (especially the brussels sprouts) and the popovers are always an anticipated delight."

"The steaks: excellent and full of flavor. The service: very attentive and cordial. The ambiance: deafening background music (jarring rock) prevented the dining experience from being a totally wonderful experience. Diners had to compete with the music's loudness in order to hear and speak to one another."

"Bone in ribeye seemed to be very well executed, but the meat itself was surprisingly bland, lacking richness of flavor. Crab-topped flatiron (semi-Oscar style) was more flavorful, even apart from the topping, which was fine. Fennel soup was great. Desserts were rather ordinary. Sommelier was glad to decant a fairly inexpensive bottle we ordered, without us even asking, which was much appreciated. Bar's happy hour sangria was a refreshingly light, clean, delicious take on the drink."

"This is my third time at this restaurant in the last three years. On this visit I ordered the crab cake as an appetizer. The crab tasted very fresh, however, there was no sauce which I thought made the dish a little bland. Another individual in my party ordered the bacon appetizer which was very tasty, and as expected, very salty. I ordered the rib eye steak for my main course which had a good flavor but was fattier than usual. For dessert, I ordered the peanut butter mousse with banana ice cream as recommended by our waiter, and it was excellent."

"The food here was great. I had the 22-oz bone-in ribeye and it was cooked to perfection - better than the one I had at Mastro's. My wife had the filet which she very pleased with. The sides seem small at first, but can actually feed two people easily. We had the creamed spinach, asparagus, and fries, which were all good, and actually too much.
Service was excellent. The only little eyebrow-raising moment was when our server looked dumbfounded when we asked him about the what their 'medium' looked like vs. their 'medium rare' and he really had no idea...but oh well, maybe he was new. Other than that, the staff was quick to refill drinks and remove plates."
