Centrally located on Route 9 in scenic Irvington, this bustling restaurant entices it's guests with an eclectic menu of creatively presented seasonal dishes. The decor is stylish with funky oversized banquets, tile inlayed floors & a copper top bar. A creative drink menu & a global wine list round out the experience.
"Dinner was excellent. Everyone choose from the evening's specials. Butternut squash soup was outstanding, as were the all of our entrees. Attention was paid to my husband's request for gluten free. Wait staff was prepared with information to help in the selection. Looking forward to our next visit."

"We were a party of 6 and had the good fortune of snagging a corner banquette which always makes for great conversation and revelry. The service was friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and perfectly timed. Drinks were always freshened prior to the food arrival, which is KEY in my book. The food was diverse and inventive. The meat and potato lovers were as pleased as those enjoying more of an ethnic flavor. We were old friends catching up, and never felt rushed. Start to finish, a very enjoyable evening."

"On a Saturday night at 7 PM the noise level was so high it was difficult to carry on a conversation at our table. The service was chaotic; several different people took our food and drink orders. The person who brought the food to our table had no idea what each of us ordered. While the food was good, the ambiance and service truly detracted from the dining experience."

"We ate there for the first time as a Plsn B anniversary meal. We were very pleasantly surprised. It's a cozy place with very friendly, attentive, but not bothersome service. The whole experience was perfect and we'll go back again without a doubt."

"River City is the rare combination of a neighborhood restaurant and "foodie's choice." Friendly staff who know their clientele if one is a "regular" but are warm and friendly to strangers. The eclectic menu reflects the owner's interest in different cuisines and combines "comfort" foods with some more edgy choices, while not being so extensive that it dilutes quality. And the ingredients are always fresh and top-notch.
In short, unpretentious quality. Well worth the money and a drive to Irvington, even if you are not a "neighbor.""

"River City Grill is a good place to bring kids -- they have a extensive kids' menu and crayons for kids to draw while waiting. I had the Hudson Restaurant Week special menu and the almond cake was very moist."

"We enjoyed our meal very much. We have been here before but not for several years. It was worth the trip. We had fish tacos which were very tasty and hamburgers which were juicy and delicious."

"Very appealing menu with a twist on the traditional. Many good things to pick from. Food was extremely tasty, and makes you want to go back to try your other choice. Pricing was on the high side. And check when you make your reservation, they don't always give open table points. Something I have not gotten a response back from from Open Table."
