"We got right in with our reservations even though it was an hour wait. All of our dishes were great! The clam chowder was awesome ,the lobster bisque was thin and didn't have much lobster. It is very pricey ,but worth it!"

"My wife works around the corner from this Legal location, so we visit it often. This visit was special - her birthday - so we made reservations.
We did tell our waitress about the birthday - and she added a candle to the dessert! It is these little extra touches we have come both to appreciate and enjoy at this restaurant."

"We went here on Mothers' Day because my mother likes it. The food was as good as you'd expect, and the selection of wines and beers is better than it used to be. Possibly because of Mothers' Day, the service was slower than I would have expected from previous visits.
Another issue was that a member of the party who was unfamiliar found the directions for getting there from the website difficult to follow."

"The food is predictably good. I always head to Legal Seafood when I need a place for a "nice" lunch for the MIT crowd. If I'm in town for pleasure, it's a convenient place to get some lobstah. I actually have had the staff say "Welcome Back". Nice, since I live in Texas and only eat there a couple of times a year."

"The food was excellent -- a halibut steak special and a chef's choice of mixed grilled fish. The ambiance is pleasing, airy, comfortable, classy. Early on a Saturday (6:30 pm), we had no difficulty hearing each other talk. All staff members were gracious, helpful. It's an expensive meal, but absolutely worth the cost--dependably impeccable."

"Out party of 4 arrived at 12:15 on a Thursday. We were seated quickly (we had a reservation) despite the crowd. The staff were very welcoming. The food was expertly prepared and so yummy (try the tuna burger!). However, there services was very slow. We were seated for at least 10 minutes before the waitstaff took our order for drinks, and by then we knew our meal orders. Another 10 minutes before bread arrived. Then several minutes before the drinks came. Our entrees arrived together (good). The prices and portions are reasonable. Lunch was 90 minutes due to the slow service. I still recommend the place, just avoid the lunch rush, if possible."

"I had family coming in late from Ohio and we had to modify our reservation within a short time of arriving. The staff was very accommodating and when we arrived at the restaurant they were exceptional. We were greeted warmly at the door and were seated at a large and comfortable table. They knew that some of us had been on the road for awhile and promptly brought us our drinks as well as a complimentary amuse-bouche which was lovely! Although the restaurant was quite busy all the staff were attentive and courteous to our needs. Our orders were taken in a timely fashion but not so that we felt rushed. When the food arrived it was delicious!! Everyone in my party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

"Look, this is about the best place for business networking that's close to MIT and a number of companies huddled around Kendall Square. I wouldn't trade it for any other spot. I have literally used it at least 50 times over ten years.
The menu is good (if pricey). The service is prompt.

"Fantastic seafood and service. There was an occurance (I won't give the details) that was out of the restaurant's control but that could have ruined our experience. The restaurant general manager was very apologetic and frequently checked on us, and at the end of the meal surprised us by covering the cost of the meal. Couldn't have expected anything more. "I was happy with the service I received overall. My server was patient with the other individual meeting me being late and very attentive for the size of the section she was responsible for. The food was delicious and perfect portions. I had the seafood casserole in the garlic butter sauce and it was 'finger-licking' good. I will probably go here in the future as the price point is similar to any other seafood restaurant in the area."
