The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish.
We know shopping induces hunger. Our restaurant is located on the upper level of Copley Place, with direct indoor access to both the Westin and Marriott hotels as well as to the Prudential Center. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook Boston’s historic South End.
Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker.

"I had never been to this legals before. It's much less hectic than the one in the Prudential mall, and the view is beautiful! Our waitress was so sweet and helpful with our questions. We told our waitress that we had only a little time before our flight, and she was able to get our food out fast."

"I love the consistently fresh and delicious fish at Legals and this is my favorite spot for atmospherics in the greater Boston area, Harborside 2nd floor excluded. Legals Dedham is a close 3rd. I have never has poor service at a Legals, ever."

"This was a reunion dinner for four former colleagues. The ambient noise was soft so we could actually talk and hear each other. Food was very good and the service better. Our server was very patient with us and amused by our in attention to the menu. I would go back frequently. Nice experience."

"Ended up sitting at the bar, which we were not really wanting to do - but ended up enjoying it much more than we anticipated. We loved the clam chowder, and definitely enjoyed the crab cakes, and desserts (Boston Cream Pie and Cheesecake.) We thought the fishermans platter was very good, but the crispy fish AND fries made it a bit too heavy. I was impressed by all of the wines I tried/enjoyed: a pure chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. Will definitely go back!"

"Overall a pretty decent experience.. We took my niece and nephew there and they were VERY kid friendly.. Our server Emily did a great job the entire time. Our only complaint would be that the seafood casserole has literally ZERO lobster in it. Funny enough this was not the first time that this happened to us - it also happened @ the Framingham/Natick location. The manager without hesitation brought over a bunch of lobster within 5 minutes which more than made up for it. Always a good "go to" place for fresh seafood.."

"Besides having a great sense of humor our waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive and took special care to see the needs of one of our group was addressed by the kitchen. The cajun shrimp and grits, the scallops, tuna, and eggnog bread pudding won raves at our table....flavorful, creatively prepared, delicious."

"Unfortunately we found the quality of food was not what we expected from this restaurant. The fried clams were very large and over cooked making them very tough with a few inedible. The seafood casserole was also over cooked and very dry. The broccoli with cheese was awful. Very large under cooked broccoli with some kind of white goop that had no cheese taste poured on top. Not good at all! The service was good and our waitress was very pleasant but we would not return to this restaurant."

"We were a group of 10, staff and students for lunch. For some boys it was their first time dining in a restaurant.
I was pleased with the service, food, and attention shown to us. The manager, Myles, even gave the boys a brief
demo on shucking an oyster, as well as interesting facts and shell comparisons! Thanks to the demo, I
too now know why they say x-mass oysters are the best."

"The seafood was fresh and nice but it did not stand out as being better than anywhere else- including places who don't specialise in seafood.
What ruined the experience for me was the service, or lack thereof. With a near-empty restaurant I had expected better service but ended up having to wait for drinks, to order the food, for condiments (which never arrived), and we had to leave the table in order to pay. Not worth our time!"
