"The sushi was excellent, but the ambiance and sevice was not of the same level. Not bad, just not great. The chairs in the dining room are not the right height for the tables which is a little odd also. Next time, perhaps a seat at the Sushi bar would better fit the bill."

"We experienced an inviting greeting at the front desk and were welcomed warmly by Dee, the manager on our way to our seat. Our waitress was personable and knowledgeable and made us feel special throughout the evening. As this was our first visit here we ordered the Chef's Selection (it may have a different name) and Chef Darren made an amazing selection of pupus, salad, risotto and grilled fish and "beef" which turned out to be much healthier buffalo accompanied by delicious truffle fries and a delicious non-dairy mochi and strawberry dessert. We loved every item he selected for us. Overall this was one of our best dining experiences ever. This restaurant shouldn't be overlooked! We can't wait to go back."

"We ate dinner @ Norios on a Friday evening. The restaurant is not large; they were busy and reservations were definitely needed. The dining area is very pretty with a Sushi Bar available. We were seated for dining and the ambiance is really nice; casual open air dining. We ordered the two Fairmont Signature rolls and enjoyed them very much. We also ordered the red crab cake to share as an appetizer. It was delicious and perfect for two people to share. Service was excellent. Highly recommend and we would go again."

"Truly enjoyed the food though some plates were a miss. We dined twice. First was amazing the second time just OK.
Highly recommend the orchid roll, the Ahi and the sirloin. The wagyu was just OK.

"Overall good, but the food was not as good as expected. The mushroom miso soup was barely warm, the server didn't know which fish was which on the nigiri set, the fish was fresh but the rice was loose and fell apart on many of the nigiri. The red dragon roll was very good. Overall we expected better for the reputation and the price."

"I ate at Norio's while staying at the Fairmont. We were seated outside on a windy night, so it was colder and less pleasant than expected but it was not a big issue and outside dining is probably more enjoyable on other nights. The inside room was much livelier with several groups near the sushi bar. We ordered several sushi rolls and the crabs cakes. The sushi was good as was the crab cake. I don't know if I would order the crab again though, as the $20 crab cakes was in fact a single cake the size of a 1/2 lb hamburger patty. The rest of the menu looked interesting and was not the standard Japanese Steakhouse that someone from the midwest would expect, but I only ate here once so I could not try more."

"I used Open Table to make a reservation ahead to make sure my friend and I would not have hard time finding a nice place to have dinner on our weekend getaway at Fairmont Orchid the past weekend. So, I decided to dine on the property, Norio's.
The service was bad. We waited for a long time before our food came. The order was wrong. The calamari appetizer was rubbery and salty. The sushi and sashimi did not wow me considering the restaurant is in a high end resort. The dessert was disappointing. I had the Japanese sponge cake. It was so dry. I could bake better than that."
