"We had a perfect Mother's Day brunch at Bella Saratoga. Seated at an outside table, we enjoyed the food, music and lovely weather. The food was tasty and service was excellent. Bella Saratoga's brunch menu includes a variety of choices, not just breakfast items. We want to go back for dinner."

"We've enjoyed Bella Saratoga for brunch, lunch and dinner numerous times over the past 20 years. We've always had a great experience, which is why I wanted to go there for Mother's Day. Unfortunately, this was our worst experience. They seated us at a bad table, on the main aisle by the check-in desk. Every guest, waiter and busboy had to walk by us and held trays over our heads as they went by. I knew they'd be busy that day, but I expected the food to be as good as last time. We were both disappointed in our meals. Based on this visit, we do not plan to go back."

"Fortunately we didn't have a lot else planned after brunch. We had 1:15 reservations and weren't seated until 1:55. There was a huge wait when we arrived and were told that they were running behind schedule and were just starting to seat the 1:00 reservations. They apologized when we checked in but never again. Service once we were at are table was pretty good although it took them quite a while to bring out our waters, which was not great for my pregnant sister.
Overall, we were very happy with the food. And the service was decent but not great. Because it was a special occasion and the wait was so long, it would have been nice for them to at least offer a slight discount or a free drink - at least for mom if not the whole party."

"We very much enjoyed the Mother's Day brunch at Bella Saratoga. We were impressed with the quality and quantity of food for such a reasonable price. The staff was pleasant and the restaurant quaint and comfortable."

"Everything was fine but not noteworthy. The entire waitstaff seemed stressed and overworked, appears they were understaffed but the crew was trying very hard. Our reservation requests were honored and the food and everything was good, but nothing was great. The waiter forgot my glass of wine but it appeared on the bill. He took it off when I told him. I kind of felt guilty and bad for the staff so I tipped well."

"We loved the Bella Saratoga. The menu offers traditional and creative Italian selections. The ambiance of this historic house is nice, and the service was wonderful. Every server and bus person was friendly and took excellent care of the patrons. The server knew a lot about wine as well, and we enjoyed two different wines, one local from Savanna Chanel, and one Italian, both very good. The fresh homemade bread is soft and warm, the crab cakes and Gorgonzola salad were excellent. Our entrees were all very good, the swordfish was excellent. Desserts were very good as well, chocolate flour-less cake and a wonderful bread pudding with caramel rum sauce. The decaf coffee was excellent, which is hard to find in many restaurants."

"Although there were very few people at tables, the service was very, very slow. We had to ask the bus boy on several occasions to alert the waiter. This is usually my favorite restaurant in Saratoga, so this poor service was surprising. Also, it was a very warm night, we were dining outside and we had to ask to turn the fans on ; this should have been obvious to the restaurant. The food was ok, but it took a very long time to serve 3 salads and a pasta dish. Not acceptable."

"Something that I wanted to mention is that they had Gluten Free options including pasta. That is so wonderful to be able to eat at a restaurant that is aware of Gluten Intolerance and Celiac. Thank you!"

"Really Very good experience. Good choice wines. Sat outside and. Watched the street scene in downtown Saratoga. Crab cakes were really good, as was the salmon. Nothing but good things to say about it. Will definitely go back."

"Had mushroom risotto and caesar salad. The risotto was gelatinous and the mushrooms were like slugs. Caesar salad had too much dressing the parmesan was chunky and heavy. The food was mediocre at best. Service was slow and we had to get up repeatedly to ask for what we needed -- beverages, water, dessert menu, check. Gorgeous interior and lovely ambience. Too bad the food and service were so poor."

"We had reservations for 6.p.m. on a Sunday evening. The food was very good and our waiter gave us very good service. The only problem we had, was that music from the bar area (which is very close to the dining area we were in) was a bit too loud and was not conducive to the mainly Italian restaurant."

"Three of us met for brunch. It was a warm day and we wanted to enjoy the outdoor dining. It was nice to have the musician, but the amplifier could have been set a bit lower. The sound level was too much for the small space. The table next to us agreed. Bella Saratoga has a very nice, though compact, brunch menu. And, although the food was tasty and beautifully served, offering only cinnamon rolls is a poor choice. The one in our party who ordered lasagna would have liked a different option, as frankly would I, who ordered a seafood salad."

"Enjoyed our dinner at Bella Saratoga. Service was very good. Upon our arrival the dining room was pretty full but we were next to the last table to leave so the noise level was quiet - our group was doing all the talking as the other table had only two people. It was "girls" night out and we had a very enjoyable experience at Bella Saratoga. Would most certainly return for another dinner in the near future!"

"Wonderful Easter Brunch at Bella Saratoga...my son's girlfriend said, upon finishing her meal, "that was the best brunch I've ever had." Our party of six arrived about twenty minutes early, and we were seated right away. We came here for Mother's Day last year, and we thoroughly enjoyed our Easter Brunch this year. We will be back!"

"Overpriced entries, old fish, small portions, under seasoned, no culinary talent, and will never go back. Spent $175 for dinner with 6 people with no alcoholic beverages and one person only ordered a $12 salad."

"Food continues to be hit or miss. If you are going to offer salmon as a regular dish on the menu it would be nice if it was somewhat fresh. I've tasted better canned salmon. Also, dinner was sent out before we finished our salads. There was no reason to rush us out as the restaurant was not busy at all.
We love the ambience of this restaurant but that is not going to carry it through continued success."

"Overbooked on Valentine's Day, the line stretched to the sidewalk. Your options included sitting outside or behaving beastly to sit indoors. The food? Bland and uninspired.
Romantic? Only if you find romance in a subway."

"Very nice ambiance; old house that has history in Saratoga. The waiter was great and made recommendations when my wife was torn between 2 dishes. The noise level was between quiet and moderate we were able to speak at a normal level with out any issue. There was nice low volume music playing in the background. Had a wonderful dinner just me and my wife."

"The dinner was very good. They have lots of mouthwatering choices for appetizers and entrees. My Cocktail was also very good and that is rare. The dessert menu was also full of choices for all tastes. We had the Chocolate Mousse Torte and Cappuccino Mud Pie. Both were delicious."

"This was the first time here for all four of us, It was a good experience. At 6:00PM we were the first to be seated upstairs, so it was very quiet, but it was full by the time we left at 7:20 for a concert at Montalvo. We had fresh salads that were not overdressed, and our entrees consisting of cioppino, veal, chicken and shrimp dishes that everyone enjoyed. The vegetable side was appealing, fresh and not overly cooked - just right. Nothing fancy, just good quality, tasty traditional, mostly Italian comfort food. The server recommended a dry red Italian wine that turned out to be very enjoyable and went well with our entrees. We didn't have coffee or dessert to evaluate this time. We'd come back in the nice weather and sit outside."

"We were there on a very quiet night, so the noise level and service quality may have been significantly better than it might be sometimes. The food was quite good. I had lobster ravioli and a mixed berry sundae. We have been going there for special occasions for a number of years and have never been disappointed."
