"This was our first visit to NOLA's. It certainly lived up to its reputation. There were four of us and we all had something different. Of course, we sampled each dinner. They were all fantiastic. Service was great. All in all it was the best meal I had while visiting New Orleans (and we had some very good meals). My dinner was the buttermilk fried chicken. The best I have had in many years. The other meals were great too, pork pie, pork chop and duck."

"The servers there were very gracious and professional. Food was hot and you could tell it just came off of the stove. I had the garlic-crusted drum. There wasn't a ton of garlic flavor on my fish, but it was still very good and I loved it even though I am not a huge fan of fried fish. Their signature NOLA cosmopolitan is very sweet and refreshing! For dessert I had the creme brulee, and it comes in three different flavors inside separate cups: vanilla, coconut, and chocolate. Vanilla was the best and you can see all the vanilla seeds at the bottom of the cup, but all them were so delicious, rich and smooth. The restaurant atmosphere is very classy but down to earth at the same time."

"This was our third meal at NOLA. I titled the review half good because my wife loved her meal and mine was just ok. My wife had the fish special and the bisque. She raved about both. "For us, a trip to NOLA (the town) would not be complete without a visit to one of Emeril's restaurants. How disappointing. The food was just fair. I had the Fried Tomato Salad and the veggie pizza. The Fried Tomato Salad lacked flavor and the bacon was chewy and didn't seem fresh. The pizza was okay, but again, no BAMM! My husband had gumbo and a pork po boy. He said it was fair, nothing he'd want to go back for. We've been fans of Emeril's for years. NOLA was not what we expected in the French Quarter. It's a trendy place..seems like it may better fit in the Garden District. The service was over the top, literally.....sometimes less is more. The guy at the table next to us, actually asked the waiters to "go away"."

"As one would expect, food and service were world-class. Experience affected negatively by a large (8-10) table of loud, obnoxious inebriates. At times it almost seemed as if the NOLA staff were encouraging them to make a scene. I understand fully the concept of "Laissez les bon temps roulez," but was hoping for a more comfortable atmosphere in which we could actually converse. "I went with a mixed group of foodies/non-foodies and many did not know much about the New Orleans food scene. One was wine expert. Everything pretty much rocked! The wines were terrific--a Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, the squash blossom appetizer stuffed with cream cheese and crabmeat was delightful, and everyone enjoyed their dinner. I had the shrimp and grits and loved every bite! The cappucino for dessert was well made. No one could figure out how to eat the peanut butter and jelly dessert that we tried to share. It needed to be dunked in the glass of milk. We couldn't figure out whether to pour the milk on it to soften it or...what! Great service and wonderful ambience. The place is full of people who are proud to be part of it."

"I asked everyone I met with in Louisiana & Mississippi what one restaurant I had to go to when I was in New Orleans for part of one day. Of course, I got a list of 8 or so restaurants. I chose NOLA because I did want to experience one of Emeril's restaurants (also because a couple of the others weren't open for lunch on a Saturday). I think I had higher expectations going into NOLA. Don't get me wrong, what I got was great - a very tasty pork cheek poboy - I was just expecting more New Orleans/Louisiana-specific menu items. I mean, really, I can get a Cobb salad anywhere. It would have been nice to have had the option of other sides as well. Again, fries are pretty standard, even those these were very, very good. Chef's bar was fun!"

"Thanks Emeril and staff. A perfect blend of that famous New Orleans ambience, sensationally savory Loisiana fare and sincere Southern Hospitality. From the moment we entered NOLA from a very rainy St. Louis Street, the staff made us feel more than just guest. The service was timely, the food was OMG perfect, and it was a memorable occaison for my wife, adult daughter and me. Fabulous recommendations from our servers too. The Best!"

"I took my husband to New Orleans Jazz Fest for his 40th. One restaurant choice at the top of my list was NOLA given my amazing experience 10 years ago. It's not the same. It could be that unlike 10 years ago, I now live in NYC where I get the best of the best.....so "amazing" really has to be good. We LOVED the staff and the gumbo. My husband got the fried chicken - best part was the accompaniments. The chicken was average. I got the duck and it was...well, duck. Nothing special. Not bad, but when we got our $200 bill, we expect to have eaten $200 worth...and it just isn't anymore. Time to BAM it up, Emeril!"

"For New Orleans and for such a well regarded chef this was a complete waste. Yes, the wait staff was great. But the food was too disappointing for them to matter much. Examples: pork chop was big but totally flavorless. Caesar salad was swamped with so much cheese & dressing you could have left out the greens. Suspect Emeril would not be happy with 1 good dish out of 3. Save your money for some Real NO Food. A Central Grocery muffalata is far more enjoyable."

"I had read some fantastic reviews so my expectation level was very high. This restaurant delivered. Service was spot on hitting just the right note between being too casual and too formal. The food was to die for. We had the soft shell crab appetizer special. Delicious. I had the garlic drum. It was the best fish dish I have ever had. So good. My son had the salmon
and my husband had the tuna. They both enjoyed their meals. We shared banana layer cake and creme brûlée . Again delicious. So glad we came."

"Mrs Hays' stuffed ckicken wings were worth the trip.....however....when a glass of wine was up-ended by a waiter....we should have been seated at a new table while the staff cleaned and reset the soiled linens. There were many open tables at that time."

"I liked everything about NOLA. I had the soft shell crab special at the suggestion of the waiter. The waiter was with Emeril from the early days, he was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I would eagerly go back and recommend the value to a friend."

"I have eaten at NOLA roughly 12 times in the last 12 years. It is on the MUST-GO list with Brennan's brunch, Cafe du Monde's beignets, K-Paul's, and Commander's Palace. Of the bunch, NOLA is my favorite. The smoked duck is incredible, the shrimp and grits is an old friend, and the pork chops are the best I've eaten anywhere, period. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and especially attentive in a city where most restaurants' service is disappointing. Whenever I am headed to New Orleans, I immediately book my NOLA reservations to make sure I will get there at least once. You should too!"

"Always enjoy this place. The menu changes frequently and it makes it hard to narrow the many great choices. Reservations are a must (thanks Open Table) and they keep everything on time. I will always make this a stip when I am in NOLA."
