"We were disappointed in our prime ribs. They were not tender and were difficult to cut. Prime rib should melt in your mouth. Our server was wonderful. We have had similar issues with the food at Hereford House - Leawood so we will not eat at either one again.
For some reason, their food has gone downhill and is expensive for what you get. They lost six customers this time."

"Our server was excellent, Our food tasted fantastic, But it was way overpriced. We looked at a menu online before going and the prices do not match up to the actual menus. We had a group of four people, we ordered a bar drink each one appetizer, our entrees and three desserts, the bill was over three hundred dollars."

"We spent a lovely evening with good food and good friends at the Shawnee Herford House. It is a great special occasion restaurant and is perfect when you have the yearning for a great steak. The pleasant surprise was the wide variety of chicken and fish entrees for our non-steak eating people. Prices are pretty hefty compared to the neighborhood bistros, but are fair considering the type of fare. Out service was great, and we'll make a return visit within the year."

"We were very disappointed. The service was extremely slow (we were there for almost 1 hour before we got our salads OR a refill on our drinks). The appetizers were barely warm, the sides were bland & under seasoned, and the steaks were not cooked properly. Mine may have still been mooing. Definitely not worth the money! I can think of much better places to spend $200 on dinner. We will not be back."

"We had friends in town and looked forward to them dining at the Herford House. The food was very good, the waiter was terrible. He was so rude, seemed put out that we were not ready to order when he came to the table the first time. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, and was again put out we were not ready to order entree at the same time. He took away from the wonderful dinner."

"The Hereford House always has great food. My wife and I enjoyed their beef tenderloins. They were cooked to perfection, and were tender and juicy. The service was great and the prices were reasonable. An excellent place to go for special occasions with friends and family!"
