"The calamari was the among the best I've ever had! The main course was ok but expensive. I'd definitely recommend this place for appetizers and dessert!"

"The food and service for lunch were both outstanding; I had a business meeting combined with lunch and my colleague was very impressed with his food. We would both recommend this restaurant in the future."

"The food and service were average. Bread wasn't good enough for an Italian restaurant, beer and wine selections were decent, pasta was tasty but oily. We picked this for Mother's Day since it was in Pentagon Row and we figured we could walk around before and after, shop, get ice cream, etc. I'd recommend it for a quick uneventful bite to eat, in a convenient location, but not for a special occasion."

"We sat outside and had a good meal. Seafood salad and hot vegetable appetizer followed by chicken picatta and lamb sausage in pasta. Efficient professional service. We always enjoy Murali's."

"Mussels had a very good sauce, but other restaurants offer better variations on this dish. The wine with dinner was very pleasant. The Lamb Shank was excellent. Meat was falling off the bone and the saffron Risotto was very creamy. The cannolis were good, but the portion was a little smaller than at other places. The creme brulee was ordinary, and the coffee was very good. The service was unfailingly excellent and timely. We spent a very pleasant couple of hours there, for a small mother's day celebration, a day early."

"This place just wasn't that good. The service was ok but the food was really bad and it was quite expensive. I don't nor ally complain but it just wasn't worth it."

"Very accommodating, friendly staff. Went out of their way to make out-of-towners feel at home on Easter Sunday. Priced very reasonably and all four of us loved our selections. We are from New York where we are somewhat spoiled with great Italian eateries. Ristorante Murail did not disappoint! Planning to be back in Crystal City soon and I will be back!"

"To be fair, there was a large party that had the cocktails hour(s) portion of the event spill out into the dining room, so the noise was close to unbearable. Perhaps, the kitchen was giddy with anticipation with serving this large group as the food was mediocre at best with skimpy portions to make the evening a loss both in terms of culinary expertise for the money spent."

"the service was quick but the waiter was not enganing at all- was hanging out in the back dining room with other waiters. We never got to hear the specials. it was really "blah" service. The food was really average. It came fast as if it was already sitting waiting to be served. I ordered the filet but i have had better at Outback. Desser was creme brulee and it was runny and cold."

"The area has so many great restaurants to offer. While there are superior restaurants, Murali serves well prepared dishes, has a convenient location, and attentive servers.
I have been before and will certainly continue my patronage."
