Recognized as “Atlanta’s Best Gastropub” by Atlanta Magazine, TAP is a standout spot for seasonally-driven, innovative comfort food. An extensive international beer list and innovative barrel wine program makes TAP “a convivial place to have a pint” night after night.
"We were seated at 4:45pm. By the time we were seated and had drinks it was 4:55pm. We had lunch menus and asked the Host that seated us if we could have dinner menus. She stated that she would ask our server. Our server came to our table, never introduced herself and very assertively told us that we had to wait till 5:00pm. AND I am pretty sure that when she left our table it was 5:00...
Eventually she came back with dinner menus and took our drink orders. I ordered a Pino Grigio and ended up with a chardonnay. I brought it to my waitress's attention and she argued with me.
I had a bad experience with Tap prior to this but wanted to give it another try. I wish Tap the best of luck but sadly, I wont be going back."

"We always eat at Tap before going to the Symphony or High Museum. Great bar food with creativity and incredible selection of beers. I think they have about 50 beers on tap. Tap makes me feel, especially if we can get a table outside, like I'm in NYC."

"Tap was recommended and Saturday was the first time for us. Great waitress - attentive, friendly, and efficient. The food was very good and also timely. It was also nice to have runners who brought requested extra items and removed dirty dishes.
Thanks! And we will be back."

"We were visiting from out of town and had a large group. TAP was happy to take our reservation-rare in Atlanta I found out. The red velvet pancakes are fantastic."

"I've been coming toTap for a few years now. Sometimes lunch, sometimes dinner. I've been for meetings and getting together with friends. I'm not sure what the recent negative reviews are talking about. I've been twice in the last month and had the same experience we've always had. The food is great. The seasonally changing cocktails are creative and tasty. The service often leaves a little to be desired but not much that I'd complain. The valet parking is great. C'mon. Free parking in downtown Atlanta. Always on the ball with reservations. I can't complain."

"For a Sunday morning brunch the music was way too loud. In fact, it was so loud, I couldn't hear my brunch company sitting across from me. I asked the server to turn it down, but he did not seem to care. I ended up leaving before the order came. It was unpleasant. I will never go back there."

"This was the last of a few visits spanning a year. This location is convenient to the High Museum which is what first brought us here. While the first couple of visits were enjoyable, things have descended into chaos. The time before this visit the server seemed to be either brand new and untrained or extremely stoned. This time the server was clearly just overloaded. The food is now basic bar food served in a perfunctory way. The last time we were seated by the Service Bar where I watched our server lean and ignore our drinks as they slowly grew warm. I finally got up, walked over, and picked them up myself. Only go here if you are looking for a supremely loud lively bar scene. Then you will enjoy yourself."

"We have dined several times at Tap prior to events at Woodruff. Food and service have both declined. On our recent visit the appetizer and salad took 20 minutes to show up. 1-2 minutes later the mains came out. We asked that they be taken back because they would be cold by the time we finished the starters. Server: "we've got a lot of tickets tonight". The restaurant was half-full at 6:30pm. We protested to eye rolls. A manager was summoned. We explained the situation. He said the mains could be removed and re-made when we were ready. They took them away then brought them back 10 minutes later, cold. Other than the free valet parking for Woodruff events, there is no longer any reason to visit Tap. Overpriced for mediocre food, poor service."

"TAP is one of my favorite places in midtown and I go there often. Their food is incredible, but there service is terrible more often than not. The other day we ended up waiting 30 minutes for our waitress to take our order, and then it was an hour and twenty minutes before we received our food. The manager is great, but really has some work to do with his waitstaff.
This was not the first time I've waited more than 45 minutes for my food. They do so much right, and I hope they will finally be able to work out these waitstaff/kitchen issues."

"My guests, Beer Blues & Barbeque blogger, Louis Kittrell, wife Kim & Rhonda Singletary were pleased with the exceptional beer list knowledge of Tap. All of the brews served to us that evening were presented in the appropriate glassware & served at the proper temperature. Our meals were cooked to order & the presentation was spot-on. Thanks for the experience & we look forward to returning mid-summer."

"The wonderful selection of beers is always a reason we go to TAP. The food was also very good - all four of us enjoyed our selections. Especially the fried calamari."

"We had a great night. We went for my fiance's birthday. Service was a little slow but, timing was perfect if you aren't in a hurry. We had a couple of drinks and an appetizer. When we were finished our food came out. The night was perfect!"

"The food was good, but service was slow and not attentive. We had orchestra tickets and arrived an hour and a half before the performance. Even though we let our server know this, our food did not arrive until 20 minutes before we had to leave. We had to wolf down our meals. It was not the enjoyable experience we had hoped for."

"Unique menu, reasonably priced. The black bean burger was really delicious, and they have a great beer selection. Seems like a good place for dinner before or after a show at the Alliance Theater or going out on Crescent St."

"Good selection of beers, but if that's not your taste, try one of the "keg wine" selections. Food is always good. Beautiful patio for outside dining."

"The staff was friendly, but our waitress seemed unfamiliar with the menu. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, which was disappointing. The chicken was slightly burned and the grill cheese was quite messy. It had too much cheese. While the atmosphere is kid-friendly, there is no kids menu and the dining options for kids are limited. It was advertised as contemporary american dining with fresh, local options. The menu definitely offered a contemporary take on many american classics, such as grill cheese and tacos, but the execution fell short. Summary: good for drinks and the large variety of beer, but not for families with kids or foodies."

"We had a party of 8 for a bachelorette party/evening, which I booked online (by the way, that I found outstandingly convenient!). Great service with the confirmation call for the reservation and preference for sitting area. Our server Kyle was great too. Everyone had a great time for our first time dining at Tap and we would all recommend it."

"The beer list was nice, and the food was tasty, but we seemed to be a table outside of our server's section. She spent all her time at the other end of the restaurant, and twice we had to flag down another waiter because we were ready to order more food or drink and we hadn't seen our waitress in fifteen minutes. She was very nice, and knew a lot about the restaurant's menu and beer list, but it seemed like she kept forgetting we were there."

"server was nice when she was there... Drinks were perfect, best mixed drinks we've had for a long time. Food was so-so. maybe a bad night for the kitchen. burger looked good, should have ordered that, steak frittes was blah and overcooked. we had desert, waited 30 minutes for it to arrive - never saw the waitress until then - had the sticky toffee pudding. I've had this several times in England and Ireland, this version was basically overcooked, burned and not tasty at all. would've complained, but by then we just wanted to leave. 2 hours for salad, steak and desert."
