"Place is not what I'd remembered it to be. Very dark ambient lighting, the waitress could barely be understood either because of the volume or she was speaking with such lightness, menu wasn't as robust, and honestly was just overpriced Italian cuisine. This is some place you go to what seemed to do family business or read a book about zoning regulations, not to have a fun time or have drinks."

"Dinner was superb, as it should be for the price we paid. Finger potatoes were similar enough to fingers it almost made our dining experience uncomfortable. My well done fillet was still very pink though the NY steak was great. The price we paid for pasta dishes was too high and though everything tasted good the value was lacking."

"The staff went above and beyond to make our 1 year anniversary very special and memorable. We were married at Gallettos last year and will be visiting every year to celebrate our nuptials. Chef Michael personally treated us at our table to wish us a happy anniversary and made delicious appetizers to start off our meal. The staff was very gracious and attentive to our needs."

"the service was outstanding. been here quite a few times and love sitting in the patio area with the fireplace. my only complaint was the tiramasu was not as good as it normally is. We had a wonderful evening, good food and great ambiance.We will be going back again."

"This is our second trip there for dinner before a concert. They are good to get you out in time and the service is excellent. We had reservations and we seated promptly upon our arrival. There wine list is wonderful and many selections to choose from. The food looks wonderful and tastes excellent. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a nice dinner experience."

"I haven't been to Galletto's in years, but decided to take my fiancé for his birthday. Dinner was excellent. I started dinner with a bowl of minestrone that was good, but not mind blowing. However, the filet mignon I had for dinner was probably the best I had ever had ANYWHERE. It was so tender and juicy and cooked to absolute perfection. I ate every bite of it and can't wait for an excuse to go back to Galletto's for dinner! My fiancé had the calamari appetizer and said he was expecting bigger pieces of calamari, rather than the fried bits he got. For dinner he ordered the margherita pizza and said it was good, but not as amazing as he had hoped it would be. For dessert my fiancé ordered the creme brûlée. He said the custard was amazing!"

"I am generally a huge fan of Gallettos, however was extremely disappointed on Valentines Day. The set menu was $85 per person, which I would have been OK with if the food was better than it was. For an $85 set menu the options were cheap and rather unflavorful and it just looked like an overall really poor effort. Definitely will not be going back on a set menu night."

"Galletto is a welcome change from the very ordinary restaurants that are the norm in Modesto. It is a nice place where you can go to celebrate special occasions or just dress up and have a wonderful meal. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. I had a lobster special. My wife had the New York steak, and my son had a pizza. Everyone was very pleased with their meals. I highly recommend Galletto for a special occasion dinner."

"We love Galletto's. Food alwasy good. But this time I ordered Short ribs and the dish was "short of ribs". By that i mean there were no bones. They were korean "flank style" about one inch thick, when I was expecting the English cut ribs that were succulent and falling off the bone. They were tasty enough but NOT waht I thought they were or am used to when a menu says "Braised Short Ribs". I did tell the waitress,and he apologized rather apathetically. this one tasted OK, just not what my palete was waiting for and she shouldhave explained or the menu should be written accordingly. My husands lamb was not that outstanding this time either.Service was great until time to pay, and then they sort of forgot about us."

"This is not our first visit to Galletto's. We keep coming back because it is always consistent in quality of food, service, and ambiance. They consistently provide for every need with excellently prepared food that is professionally and efficiently served. The atmosphere is delightful both inside the restaurant and on the heated patio dining area outside. We would heartily recommend Galletto's for an intimate dinner for two to a grand celebration for a large group."
