"The Service started off slow at first..We seemed to have arrived when everyone else did. We waited for 15 mins. to get a drink order but our waitress was so cordial and friendly that our attitude soon changed. The outdoor dining on such a beautiful night was outstanding and the food was superb..it was my wife's birthday and she received(as did I)"royal" treatment..a lone busboy for the 1st hour of our visit did an exemplary job...All the staff were most courteous..we enjoyed the experience and will go back...Jerry and Connie Lambert."

"My husband had the sea bass which was great. Lobster bisque and salad were great also. I had the scallops which had a nice flavor but were extremely 'chewy'. So much so that I had to send it back (& I've never done that before). Our waitress was very nice but I found it strange that she offered to take it off the bill - well I should hope so. I wasn't planning on paying for that dish. Management could have made an offer to get me a desert or ? for the situation but all I was offered was to have the charge removed from my bill. I will now have second thoughts about patronizing this restaurant again. I guess they have people waiting to get in so losing one customer is not an issue. Well it is for me. "I can not say enough good things about the service at BluEmber. Our waitress was atentive, knowledgable and personable. The extensive wine list was reasonably priced. Although my lobster was alittle tough my filet was cooked to perfection and the veggies were fresh and aldente. The barramunda is excellent: rich and tender. The creme brulee was outstanding. The huge portion was flamed to a dense crust, the best we've ever had. It was a nice break from the so-so service at the restaurants at The River across the street."

"Good mix of food but we two in our party had problems.... which were corrected, but meant that 4 people ate and two waited! then four people waited while 2 ate!. 20% was also added to each bill (2 per bill) .... service was OK but not worth 20% which was automatically added, could be changed but not easily! Good ambience, live music which wasn't too loud and was fun to dance to."

"I was skeptical about eating at a hotel restaurant but was immeasurably surprised and delighted wiht the caliber of the menu, ingredients and chef staff! We ordered nearly all of the small plates all of which were pleasing of note the truffle mac n cheese, crabcake, angus beef sliders. Also the entree osso bucco was mouth watering good and so soft! Soba noodles were also a great entree."

"BluEmber is such a beautiful venue! The flowers around the patio are fabulous! The tables and chairs with umbrellas look so inviting! One is just drawn to sit down and have a drink outside and gaze at the other tables and lawn. We ate inside, but sometime in the summer, we will go back and eat outside. The service is so unobtrusive, yet right at hand. Servers are eager to please and very polite. The food is the star, however. We had seafood that was just perfect on top of mashed potatoes that were out of this world! This restaurant is one of the top in the Coachella Valley."

"We were there for Sunday Branch. Everything was great: except the service was very slow..the waitress and waiters were all smiling and trying to be nice, that's good. But they didn't come back for taking our orders after brought the fruit plate and muffin basket as a starter. We pretty much filled with fruits and water while we were waiting. At last we had to look for them to get them our orders. Foods selection was great, I ordered Petit Filet Mignon Stake. It was huge, it's not petit size! Satisfied. The dessert bar was very good! Overall the dining experience was good; just you should bring a plenty of time and patience. Oh well, it's Palm Spring... Don't get hurry!!"

"Our first experience dining at BluEmber was very positive, so we came back again. The food and service were good, but not delivered in a timely manner, so it was lukewarm. The waiter apoligized and brought us a gigantic dessert, a nice touch, but since we were all trying to eat lightly, not the best way to make up for the cold food. Perhaps we could have had an option. It didn't stop us from eating the cake, however, which was delicious."

"When we made our reservations, we thought we going for the prix fix menu but it turned out to not to be served on Fridays. Therefore, we ordered steaks from the regular menu. Food was good but not top notch as the price would suggest. I would still go back and try other menu items. I have had their lunch and breakfast and they were excellent."

"The one night we ate there was wonderful. The second night you obviously have a staff shortage as there was only one waiter in the lower dining room and none in the upper, quieter room. We were there for 8 nights and found that you had THE SAME MENU every day
except for the Valentines menus which did not interest us.

We were also told by staff that due to high occupancy there was no breakfast vailable except for buffet, which again was true EVERY DAY we were there, obviously again because of staff shortage. As a Travel Agent I can recommend your resort highly EXCEPT for these reasons for people who come and stay for a number of days. So, we were forced to
go across the street to other restaurants for a variety."

"The published Prix Fixe menu dinner menu was unavailable on Saturday night but nowhere either on the website nor in print advertising is that mentioned. After consulting with the Manager another Prix Fixe dinner menu was offered but it did not contain any of the entre items that are published on the website. We considered this a misrepresentation and as I write this the website has not updated it's Prix Fixe menu selections or mentioned that it is unavailable on Saturday nights. Bad form. I am originally from SF and a restaurant that lax would last perhaps a month tops. Service was friendly and food was average to good but not exceptional."

"Our appetizers were good and dessert but dinner was nothing special. The live music was nice when it was going but they took a lot of breaks. The staff seemed inexperienced. For ex. our dinner was brought out when we just received our appetizers and then they took it back to the kitchen under heat lamps, odd for this price range. Value for dollar was poor, nicer places to go for better food for this price point."

"We were vacationing in the Palm Spring area for the holidays. Had a great Christmas night dinner at bluEmber. We were fortunate enough to be in a small, semi-private room with just one other group of diners. There was live music that was pretty loud (although entertaining) so we were able to close the door of our room in order to be able to easily hear each other. If we had been sitting anywhere near the live band, it would have been tough to be able to talk throughout dinner. If that had happened, I would have asked to be seated elsewhere in the restaurant. Food was great all around. Service was a bit slow - although the server was very nice and attentive.

Hotel itself seems lovely. Would love to stay there."

"This was our second visit to the Blu Ember and although it was good, it was not as incredible as our first visit. The composition of the beet and goat cheese salad was different and good, but not as good as we remembered. The service was a little off - leaving us waiting for extended periods untended. All-in-all it was still very good and we will return."

"My husband and I celebrated our first anniversary at BluEmber recently and we were very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The restaurant was very elegant and romantic, especially the outside patio with the fireside dining. The food was incredible, the service was amazing, and the bar was perfect for hanging out with friends or groups (like the Christmas party that was going on while we were there). The restaurant is spacious and very cleverly designed so that it's still intimate and private even if there happens to be a group party. Also, there was a very nice live jazz band playing which made our celebration even more romantic.
We will definitely be going back!"

"The food was very good and the free buffet for kids was an added surprise. HOWEVER, one of the members of our party asked our waitress what pinot they had by the glass and the she only mentioned one. It was assumed that it was the only one and it was ordered. We ultimately found out that there were, in fact, three being served by the glass and the waitress only mentioned the highest priced one at $18. She also took advantage of counting the two children as part of the party which conveniently meant she added 20% to the bill automatically. It did not go over well with the party paying the bill (who normally tips 25%). Maybe all of this is being a bit picky but it just did not sit well with us."

"What can I say after this first time experience, but that it was over the top good! Upon being seated we were greeted with a comp glass of champagne for our anniv., a nice touch. Carlos, a terrific service attendant, suggested the special Hawaiian walu and it was absolutely wonderful, plated on a chipotle cream sauce and risotto and topped with a dollop of guacamole. Also the Australian barramundi was delicous too according to hubby. And can't forget the appetizer ahi lollipops, yum. The wedge salad also must remark about, made with a balsamic viniagrette is the best! Lobster bisque terrific too! Would love to go back for around the firepit dining as well. BluEmber was worth the bill for terrific service by Carlos and the best food!"

"Excellent dinner. Lobster bisque some of the best I've had. John's scallop & wild mushroom risotto was excellent. My filet mignon (requested medium) was perfect. Service was attentive and very helpful. Great evening and dining."
