Blowfish Sushi to Die For - SF
Blowfish Sushi is an eclectic sushi bar and restaurant that serves both modern and traditional sushi, and sashimi, as well as salads, cooked appetizers and special desserts. The menu style is Asian Fusion and emphasizes clean, pure healthy foods. We have an extensive list of imported sakes and our own original line of sake cocktails.
Our upbeat and unforgettable atmosphere is one of a kind, creating an atmosphere of excitement. Our restaurant and sound system have been specially created to give the impression of "feeling the sound" while allowing conversation to be acoustically transparent.
We continuously show Japanese animation films for your viewing pleasure. Colorful original production cells, used in the making of various Anime feature films, decorate the walls. "We sat outside on the street. It was very quiet and a perfectly warm sunny evening. The drinks were very good as was the service. The sushi is amazing! Loved the poke, uni, everything! It's a bit pricey but well worth it. We'll be back again for sure."

"Thouroughly enjoyed my lunch. I had a reservation for 2 and my guest couldn't make it, the staff were understanding and when I said I would sit at the bar they said no, take the table,even though it was busy. They were very welcoming. Delicious food and beautiful restaurant."

"Service from the hostess was not good. First, she forgot who we were five minutes after she had already spoken to us (there was no one else waiting). Then, we waited so long that the DJ finally asked if anyone was helping us. Then, to add insult to injury, we got a notice from Open Table that we failed to show up for our reservation."

"When I was at the Blowfish, I made a special request for the waiters to write a message in chocolate on a dessert I ordered to ask my friend out to ball. When the plate arrived just like how I imagined it, the deal was sealed! I love the blowfish for that. Thank you guys so much. You made the night AWESOME, memorable, and I am DEFINITELY coming back!"

"I am so happy to live 1 block away from Blowfish and recently took advantage by getting take out lunch from there. Delicious! Inventive rolls as well as more traditional stuff. Their garlic edamame are my absolute favourite along with the pyramid of tartar."

"My husband had wanted to try the restaurant for years so decided to surprise him. Honestly the food was really mediocre. I ordered a chirashi bowl and some of the pieces were clearly scraps of fish rather than prime cuts. Also ordered a sashimi plate and it arrived with dry ice smoke which the kids loved but I would have skipped the special effects show for more decent cuts of fish. I don't mind paying for good sushi but the quality and quantity was so so and paltry. I would much rather go to Ozumo or One Sushi. Food service was very slow but the wait staff was good. Not enough to bring us back."

"The quality and freshness of the food is immediately noticeable. The presentation is beautiful and elegant. The dj spinning sounds is a nice touch and the music is not loud enough to prevent normal conversation. This is a great place to either hang at the bar or have a more formal dinner. If you like sushi this is a must on your bucket list."
