"Home made pastas, great wine list and skillet mussels to die for!! What could be better!!!! Timpano's is the go to restuarant for a great meal and a wonderful evening. It has a trendy vibe and food to match. When looking for Italian on the east side of town, this is the place to be."

"It started with our server giving me attitude for not ordering alcohol and it continued thru the meal. The appetizers were good, the (calamari & flatbread). The main course was not impressive at all. A small chop lost in the middle of the plate. The grilled asparagus was presented nicely but I had to order the bernaise sauce separately. The three scallops were small and would have made a good appetizer. Dessert was terrible, the cake was old and dry and the creme brulae didn't have a carmelized top and thin and cold."

"The bar was fun with great jazz music and lounge atmosphere. Pretty good wine list and great martinis. Mussels were amazing as was the carpaccio. Meatballs were okay, and the Fra Diavlo was not too Diavlo. Coudl have used a lot more spice for kick, but overall had a great time and will be returning hopefully weekly. Great restaraunt!"

"I haven't been to Timpano in about a year. This visit was a little disappointing. The food took a long time to come. It was not only my table but the table next to me. I ordered the Chicken Marsala which is usually my favorite meal. It used to come with side of pasta. This time it came just plain on a plate. Very few mushrooms. The plate looked completely empty. I brought new people to the restaurant. I was very disappointed. I will try Timpano again because I have been there 15 to 20 times and all the other times were good."

"Horrible experience very noisy our waiter was a nightmare, we waited over an hour for our entrees and that was only after threatening to leave a number of times. When we got the entrees the pasta was hardly cooked and the meals were inedible. We left without eating after almost 3 hours. They he the nerve to charge us for some items. What a happy Mother's Day!!!"

"The service was good, only problem with service was we asked to have more bread with our dinners and it never made it to the table. I ordered the nightly special, mutton snapper over pasta with mussels, shrimp and lobster sauce. The fish was over cooked and dry, the rest of the dish was very tasty. Waitress brought me more lobster sauce which moistened up the fish. My guest ordered the scallop dish, she said it was very tasty but there 3 scallops, not very big ones. It looked like an appetizer not an entree. We had the watercress salad, it was excellent. All in all I would say that it was just ok, don't think I will go back. For what we spent there are many better options."

"We went for an early dinner before a show at the Broward Center. The waiter kept us on time and gave us great service. I had specific food restrictions and the waiter was perfect at making sure that I was accommodated and my filet, asparagus and salad tasted wonderful and were prepared just the way I wanted them. The other three members of our party also commented that their food was great, too!"

"My wife and I had dinner at Timpano on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale. The food was not very good and way overpriced for the portions served. There are much better options available for dinner. The atmosphere is good and the bar and happy hour seems to attract a good size crowd. There was a large party next to our table who ordered a couple of lobster tails, which they sent back after complaining about a "fishy smell and taste"."

"It takes a special place to succeed at both lunch and dinner but Timpano does. Lunch is upscale and business-like yet one be casual and comfortable. The menu, while not large, has the perfect variety of selections from wonderfully creative salads to larger entrees. Later in the day, the place easily takes on a dinner atmosphere. Great cocktails, good but not overwhelming wine list, just the right number of pasta, meat and fish selections. Diners can be assured that they are all exceptionally prepared."

"Timpano was a little off this Sunday night. All started well but then the Flatbread came out probably 10 minutes later than the other appetizers. Then a long wait for our main course to come out. My chicken parm was luke warm. My brother's eggplant was also luke warm. My wife's salad was fine. Long time to get our coffee. Not quite sure why it was like this. My sense is a system failure. Instead of having their waiters work a particular section it seemed like their tables were very far apart as if they were assigned based on when someone sat. That may work to even out how many tables a waiter sees in a night for tips but clearly didn't help service. We will go back because we have had nice meals here before."

"It took a little while to get seated even though we had a reservation. There seemed to be some confusion at the front with the hostess. It was Saturday night so it was quite busy and there were times when it took a while for the waiter to get back to us. However, I did enjoy the Tuscan egg which I shared with my husband. It was only one though so not enough for 2 really - more for one person. Then, I had the scallops which came out in a lovely presentation with the scallops on top of the vegetables and sauce. Again, not the largest portion. So, I would suggest ordering a side to split with someone."

"We came here since we had been here the year before and thought it had a great atmosphere for my friends and i since were in our mid-twenties. We enjoyed the mussels; they are DELICIOUS. They are covered in sea salt and have an olive oil dipping sauce. I got the scallops and did not enjoy the sauce that they were covered in, and I didn't particularly like the side that came with it. I forget at this time what it was. It was also very expensive for only three scallops."

"We seated upon arrival with the reservations we had made. We were originally taken to a table on the aisle into the room and it was no problem to select a table where there would be less "traffic." The service was excellent the food was very good. It has been my experience in FLL that Italian restaurants use garlic such that it can be overwhelming. That was no the case here.
After we paid the check we lingered for at least 40 minutes, if not longer, enjoying conversation with friends we had not seen in years. I was expecting someone to nudge us to leave. That never happened.

"First time here, and everything was wonderful. Make sure to have the mussels, they come out sizzling, very simply done, very good quality. The. Veal Chop was very tender. Be careful of the bread, it's so good, you may spoil your meal. Creme Brûlée was also a nice ending to a good meal."

"If you are looking for a quiet, intimate dining experience, this probably isn't the best place for you. Perhaps sitting outside would be less noisy. The booths are very romantic and the service was top notch. Food is pretty good but not fantastic and the prices are quite high. Overall it was a very nice experience. The service is what I enjoyed the most. Our server was great and checked on us frequently. I got the 20 ounce bone-in Ribeye which was a very nice cut of beef. I also got the mac and cheese as a side dish and that was tasty. Again, I enjoyed my visit and would certainly visit this place again in the future."

"My husband and I had been to Timpano previously and decided to take out of town friends. Both of us had the filet, and neither seemed as good as on previous trips - was somewhat tough. Friends had salmon / seafood special. The salmon was not eaten - though she said it was ok.

"As our first time at Timpano's, it was amazing in every sense. There is nothing negative to point out, only all the good. Easy place to find, great valet parking service, the front desk people were very kind and warm when we arrived, they had prepared a booth for my wife and I, beautifully. "Food was five stars, but the ambience was awful. The noise level was deafening, and we were a party of two placed in the middle of a room with large parties. People kept bumping into our chairs and jostling us, making us feel as if we were eating in the lobby.
