"Service was not the best but I think it was just our waiter because as other tables had more attentive waiters. I thought the quality of food wan't great compared to what you were paying for. My appatizer was missing an ingredient. The au gratin was a little pedestrian and tasted commercial, not what I was expecting. The Filet was very tender minus the piece of silver skin that ran through out it, again didn't expect that from this place. Maybe other locations are different but I wouldn't spend the money to find out. The creme brulee was outstanding (the fruit was a little bruised)! - in short the expereience fell flat because of the lack of attention to details which was a shame because this was for my husbands birthday."

"I sent my parents to this restaurant for my father's 60th birthday and they made every aspect of his birthday perfect from the arrival, to the decorations on the table, to the meal and service and finishing off with a complimentary dessert. My parents could not stop complimenting and praising everything that the restaurant did for them and I am truly grateful that they made my dad's birthday special since the rest of the family could not be there with him to celebrate. Thank you!!!"

"We came to Ruth Chris to celebrate a special occaision. Our waitress was terrible. She rattled the specials off so fast that we could not understand her. When we asked her to repeat them, she went even faster. We had to ask her twice for a wine recommendation, and when she finally turned her attention to our request, she took the wine list and disappeared. When she came back, she studied the list and then pointed out one choice. During dinner, she did not come back to refill the wine glasses, and I, as the hostess at the table, was left with no choice but to refill the guests glasses. This is not the kind of serice that I expect from Ruth Chris. Next time, we will take our celebration elsewhere."

"My husband and I recently ate at the Vienna, Virginia, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse as we wanted a good quality steak and have eaten at this location in the past and had a great experience. Our meal this time was by no means a disappointment; the steak was quality and cooked right, the sides were plentiful and tasty. It was a good visit, not great or spectacular, but good. Both times that we've eaten at Ruth's Chris, the steak has been spot on."

"Went to Ruth Chris for my husband's birthday. We were seated next to a party room where every time a server opened the door my husband's chair was bumped. There were NO apologies and no attempt to stop how they were entering the room. The Ribeyes were wonderful as were the appetizers (spicy lobster, calamari and shrimp) The filet with lobster was unsatisfactory with the filet being overcooked and contained fat and the lobster tail being tough and dry. This was a party of 6 that included appetizers, wine, meals and dessert. A birthday dessert was brought to my husband (unrequested) and was actually charged to our bill. We will not go to the Tyson's Ruth Chris again, not would we recommend it"

"One word: FABULOUS...all the way around! Asked for a nice table for wife's b-day -- they put us in a secluded/exclusive small room, walled in by glass/wine racks. Very cozy, quiet, & special -- thank you!. First time for us to Ruth's -- food was fantastic...wife very impressed! Now I know first-hand what all the rave's about -- steaks, sides, appetizers, salads, desserts...all fantastic! Finally, service was amazing. Our waitress -- probably the best in the house, thus the assignment of the "exclulsive room" -- was fabulous, fantastic, and amazing! The best wait service we've ever experienced -- and we eat out twice each week on avg! She was just "on it"...cheerful, friendly, attentive, accurate, pleasant, and professional!"

"Our waiter was fine and we were there for restaurant week. Took my parents and my mom had had recent foot surgery and couldn't stand for too long. Even after making reservations, we had to wait 15-20 mins and my mom did not feel comfortable sitting at the bar because she doesn't drink and there is no place else to linger and wait. Our waiter was good but asked someone else for a slice of lemon and sauce and they disappeared never to be seen again. Food was okay...I'd recommend the Palm or Flemmings instead."

"Wonderful, attentive service from Bill and food was wonderful. I was suprised at how casual people were dressed. Jeans and t-shirts are not part if any fine dining experience. This is more a comment on our culture than Ruth's Chris ... but an observation that tempered our experience."

"The hostess and valet staff were excellent in accomodating our needs -- the hostess found a great table for us, etc. Our waiter was average at best -- he wasn't terribly attentive and it took a long time to get our entrees.
If you like classic hearty steak dinners, this is the place. The filet, ribeye and side sauces were excellent. Also one of the best crabmeat appetizers I've had. However, there are not many "healthy" options or sides - I ended up getting the grilled tomatoes which were very good, wish they had a few more similar dishes."

"Food was delicious and what you expect at Ruth's Chris when you order steaks. Had the mixed grill at Restaurant Week - crab cake, filet & chicken - everything was good. Sides of garlic mashed potato & mushrooms just OK - not much garlic flavor in potatoes. Did have issues with service. Our waiter didn't speak English well but certainly had the enthusiasm and energy to provide good service, but still the language issue was there. We ordered a bottle of 2009 Chateau Montelena Cabernet and all he asked for was the 'number' of the wine listing. Came back and said they were out. On our way out we noticed there were bottles of Montelena 2010 available. Disappointed and figured our waiter was probably not familiar with the wines."

"I'm used to Ruth's Chris. Been to several of them many times in different cities. Still my favorite and best is in Irvine, CA. So, far - this one in Tyson's would be near the bottom of my list. The two key factors - were that they had one of the servers training - and he kept asking who's meal, drinks, etc belong to who. Well, if it was a table of 10, I'd understand. But - there was just me and my date. So - I wasn't impressed. Then there was the steak. Ribeye medium rare. The one in Irvine and in Scottsdale, AZ - make ribeyes to die for. Not so much in Tyson's Corner. Way too much butter. Anyways - overall, still a decent place to take somebody."

"My friend and I went this restaurant during Restaurant Week and got the lunch deal. The most notable dish was the filet. It came sizzling on a plate. I had asked for medium rare, and that's exactly what I got. The server was nice and funny. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone to try at least once."

"Food was outstanding as usual.
But this was the very first time the service was not good. There were long delays during the entire meal. Never asked about our food after it was received. I had to ask for a butter knife and was given a steak knife. We asked for 3 raspberry sorbets and was brought 1 chocolate ice cream and 2 sorbets etc. I have always given 5 stars but this time I had to drop to 3 because of service and I debated on 2 stars."

"Ruth's Chris was nothing short of a wonderful experience. From the complimentary valet parking and coat check (which they help you take off your coat and put it back on) to the involved waiters and delicious food, there is nothing about this place that falls short. I went for Restaurant Week, and their choices were delightful. I would hesitate in going back, however, due to the extremely high prices; the food was worth the Restaurant Week prices, but personally, I cannot justify paying over $60 per person for one meal. It was an incredible experience that I would not have been able to enjoy were it not Restaurant Week. Hopefully they will participate again next year!"
