"We had reservations for two, last minute. thru Open Table. Requested outside seating. BEAUTIFUL early summer in Philly. EVERYBODY wanted to sit outside. When they saw "Open Table," they accommodated us. Outside. Relaxed, competent service. Wonderful crabcakes. Reasonable prices. NICE wine list. What's not to like?"

"We went for dinner after my friend's college graduation. The food was delicious, the servers were very friendly and accommodating and the food came quickly! The restaurant itself is a bit cramped, but it wasn't a problem. Definitely worth checking out!"

"We were in the restaurant essentially by ourselves and there was still a decent wait for the food. I understand that reflects that everything was made from scratch right then (and the food was very good) but I can imagine the wait is bad when the place gets crowded."

"Enjoyed this restaurant twice this month while attending events at the Academy of the Arts. It offers a wide range of delicious Italian food and also accommodates Gluten free foodies. It has a warm atmosphere and was an all-over enjoyable experience. Highly recommend the Chocolate Mousse cake which I ordered both times."

"Although the restaurant was busy, the staff was attentive. The pace not too rushed nor too slow. The food was fresh and delicious. The byob aspect kept the cost down."

"We had lobster ravioli as an appetizer. It was excellent, as was the service. The wife had Dover Sole as an entree, also excellent. I ordered the "thick pork chop, grilled and served on a bed of risotto". What arrived were two very thin, 1/2 - 5/8" thick pork chops. Pork chops this thin are impossible to grille properly. If they are browned on the outside, the inside is overdone and dry. If they are drilled so the inside is medium, the outside is not at all browned. This was the first time in more than five years that I thought one of Bellini's specials, usually outstanding, fell well short of the mark."

"Bellini is one of our very favorite spots in the city for after a concert, an opera, or a ballet. The service is great, (we always feel like royalty), and the food is exceptional. A little pricey, so it is saved for special occasions, but the experience is always well worth it. Bravo, Bellini!"

"I was disappointed at now our second visit to this Restaurant. While they do not promise to honor any table request it was obvious that they were discriminating in who they wished to seat where. While we finally were given a table we requested while there, I felt that we should not have had to be assertive about it; especially, when within half hour there were numerous tables available. The food, my dish, while good was not quite warm.I am hard pressed to say that we'll keep this on our list to go to, even though I like the restaurant."

"This is my third time to Bellini grill and each time has been a delight. We had the good fortune to meet the owner/chef who happened to be a neighbor to the person I was with. The food is very good with a nice selection of entrees etc. It is BYOB but you can also bring liquor and they will give you set ups."

"This was our first time at this restaurant and all four of us agreed that the food was good. However, the attentiveness of our waiter was less than subpar which ruined our overall experience."

"I went with three of my family members on a Sunday afternoon after a show at the Kimmel Center. We walked to and from the restaurant which was about 2 blocks and I even had on high heels!!! It was a perfect distance just so we wouldn't have to pull the car out of the garage. The food and service were great we didn't have to ask for water refills because the waiter was very attentive. They did run out of Reisling but brought a substitute wine for my aunt. I wasn't sure how they could run out that early with loads of customers coming in after us for dinner. The seating was also a little snug and I do not recommend the restaurant for children because of that closeness or the menu. All restaurants aren't for children! Wonderful experience!!"

"Jimmy and his staff had prepared Osso Buco, which we had requested when dining the previous week at Bellini. Outstanding, to say the least. We brought our friends and neighbors with us for their first dining experience at Bellini, and hope they liked it as much at we did."

"We have been to Bellini Grill 4 or 5 times. The menu is always interesting, well prepared and nicely presented. The service is excellent, the decor very nice. The BYOB is a very nice feature. On our most recent we had the Lobster Bisque and itnwas the best I have ever had. Just an example of the quality they work for."

"Bellini Grill has the decor of a European café but it's small size is a huge deterrent to the dining experience. The massive tapestries are an unsuccessful attempt to muffle the sound of diners enjoying their evening. Packed with tables, the servers must choreograph their service movements so as not to step on each other. That being said - the food is worth the trip - From classic Italian to Continental specialties to desserts - each dish that my party of 5 ordered was better than the next. Attention was paid graciously to a gluten free request and sharing was encouraged. I would go back again for the fabulous food."

"My friend and I went to Bellini Grill before a show at the Kimmel. Had a wonderful meal! We started with salads (one caesar, one house), had the crab ravioli in blush sauce for the main entree (delicious!) and finished with tasty desserts (a cannoli and the chocolate mousse). Great service as usual too!"

"We had a party of 16, the service for a aerty of this size was great. The food was good but not great. A bit bland on all accounts. Price was in line with what we got. I would consider this for a large party but not at all for foodies."

"Good tastes very good. Extremely small portion. Left me unsatisfied. 3 of us ordered coke with our meals , and it tasted bad so we all sent it back as got new ones. Still very bad. Then we were told they do not use coke and that they use a cheaper brand. Very disappointed with that. Overall experience was ok."

"I really would like to write a great review about this place. The service was great. Our waiter was so into describing the specials that he had me drooling. There was a gentleman standing near our table, dressed in chef's clothes, who brought us little extras to try. The other waiters all were smiling and friendly. The food, although well prepared, just didn't meet my expectations, unfortunately. My wife had a different opinion in that she loved her soup (which I tried and it was good) and her seafood pasta special (which she liked a lot, but I thought was pretty bland). I had a mediocre caesar salad and zuppa di pesce. The entree was well prepared, but this wasn't on par taste wise, with multiple other places in which I've ordered it."

"As always, a wonderful experience, from seating in a quiet corner through helpful suggestions from Tannie (sp?) over appetizers, and specials of the evening, to a flawlessly de-boned Bronzino and flavorful veal. Best of all, we were out in plenty of time to make our curtain at the Academy of Music afterward. Thanks again, all, for another fine evening!"

"We were greeted and seated immediately, there were quite a few empty tables on a Thursday night, and our server was helpful and provided good suggestions. We had a group of 5 and the BYOB feature was a plus. I had the orecchiette with grilled chicken sausage, it was excellent and I'd highly recommend it. Other diners in the group had eggplant parm, which was also very good (a large portion), and the grilled lambchop special, which was also good. The only issue we had with the evening was the very long delay before our entrees were served, and further delay with dessert and getting the check. There were not many diners, but plenty of staff, and it took almost 3 hours for the meal. I felt as if the service started strong and fizzled."

"Very disapointing!! We were seated in a corner where I didn't even have enough room to slide my chair to get in. The water pitchers were kept right where my elbow was. Nobody offered to move them, even though I almost knocked them down several times while reading the menu. The food was disapointing. I've gotten better food at chain restaurants! The portions were very small. We used a gift certificate and the waiter cheated us out of some of the money! I will not be returning to the place even though I have another gift certificate!!"

"We were disappointed given the good reviews on OT. Appetizers were awful and being daily specials way overpriced. "Fresh" mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto and lightly grilled tasted like a bad panini from the mall food court. Did I mention the $16.99 price? Lobster bisque with no lobster? In fairness our entrees were solid, but Bellini is Philly's answer to Hoboken. Loud and filled with twenty somethings spending their first paycheck on barely average food. The suburbs have plenty of tightly packed Italian joints serving better food for half the price."

"Bellini is always a great place for dinner with the best authentic Italian food outside of S. Philly. Expect weekends to be crowded with very little elbow room so remember to book in advance. BYOB is always a plus."
