"Food was pretty, tasty, and the service timely. Every choice on the menu sounded so good - we had a tough time making up our minds. In the end, everything we ordered was delicious. A perfect Mother's Day destination."

"The restaurant has a great layout and is a fun place to have a dinner with friends. But the food was good, but not anything to write home about. When I heard the special of the day was salmon that was way over accessorized, I figured they really don't know how to just make a simple, good piece of salmon. They didn't, it was overcooked. But the pot roast was good."

"I came for a business lunch with an old friend and colleague. The server was attentive - perhaps overly so. Plates were whisked away very quickly, the check was presented before we were offered coffee or dessert, which we did want. I felt like they wanted us out of there quickly. Although the restaurant wasn't even 1/2 way full so I'm not sure why. At one point when the first check came, I looked at my watch an only 30 minutes had passed.
I guess it's great if you're in a hurry. Not so much if you're not."

"The food was OK but unremarkable. Last time we were there we had a cheese sandwich grilled to perfection so that the cheese ran through the holes in the bread and fried on the outside in spots. My wife was really looking forward to a repeat of that but they were some stingy with the cheese it was basically a bread sandwich. I had over cooked Cod and chips. Good but certainly not what I had had before. We will give them another try as the service was great and we felt welcomed."

"Paragon is a solid Pearl District restaurant with good food and service. We love the fireplace in the cool months, of which Portland has many! And in the summer, they can open their windows and also have seating outdoors. We'll return."

"This was a disappointment. Sort of an average dining experience. It was an anniversary dinner, and the best part was the flowers waiting at the table that I preordered. The server ( a female) was weird and had an attitude. The onion ring appetizer was horrible and the salmon tostada? app was not good. Other than that, life was good."

"Wonderful menu choices, unique and great meld of flavors. Had the skirt steak (very tender and perfectly medium rare) with spinach and fries. Could have used a bit more spinach and a little less fries. My friend had the beet salad and brussel sprouts. Service was prompt and friendly, good pace, got us out in time for our play."

"Great place to go for good food & drink in the Pearl district. Very good service and friendly waitstaff. Menu offers a good combination of selections with broad appeal to most, so you're likely to find something you like."

"We dined at Paragon last Friday night with friends. We don't go there often because there are so many choices in Portland and always new places to try. When we do, though, the food is consistently good and sometimes great. Two of us had an incredible dish that my husband and I are still raving about; the true cod white bean ragout with bacon, roasted tomatoes and paprika oil. It's amazing cassoulet with delicious cod. My husband commented this week that he consider it to be one of, if not THE best comfort food meals that he's ever had. It's that good. Try it before the menu changes."

"We had a great dinner. Everyone enjoyed their food. My husband had pot roast, I had the fabulous beet salad and rasoto. Friends had pot roast and salmon. Calamari was excellent. Everyone ate every bite. Waitress was really good. It was a perfect dinner."

"I came here on Valentine's day with my wife and had a good experience. I had no problems with the Opentable reservation, the service was good, the food was quite good (although not great), and the ambiance was a little noisy for a romantic dinner. I got the impression that this is more of a casual meeting place, and not so much of a "foodie" focused restaurant. I would definitely come back for drinks and appetizers with friends, but if I'm looking for a knock-your-socks off dinner, I'll probably look somewhere else next time."

"Asked to sit in the bar because I love looking at a fireplace and not our first time to this great place. Unfortunately, a large, loud wedding party was right next to us (after we seated ourselves). Bad luck for us. Probably should have kept our reserved table in the dining room for Valentine's day. Still the food was fabulous and our server was good and attentive, despite being drained by the large party. All-in-all a good evening and we will come back again. Probably will take my chances again in the bar because usually the ambiance is exceptional."

"The brussel sprout appetizer was out of this world! The service was prompt and cheerful. It was a bit dark so reading was not really an option, but overall, i will definitely come back again."
