Osteria Marco
Osteria Marco is a very social, artisan-style pizzeria in the heart of Larimer Square. The exposed brick dining room is lined with bottles from our exclusively Italian wine list, which features nearly one hundred labels priced under fifty dollars per bottle. We roast the lamb, pork and beef for our panini right in the dining room and craft the cheeses and charcuterie from or salumi bar in house. Osteria Marco has all the amenities of a fine-dining establishment--excellent service, beautiful food, fabulous surroundings--but priced for the more casual, social diner.

"The food is always good, but the noise level is excessive. We have always enjoyed our meal, but are hesitant to return because the noise level makes it impossible to have a conversation or even understand what the server is trying to tell us.
The waiter and staff were very friendly and made sure that we were done with dinner in time to make the show, even though we were on a very tight schedule."

"We made a reservation for Mother's Day brunch and several websites noted a special menu (including Open Table). Advance credit card info was required. When we arrived, there was no special brunch menu. The waiter refused to believe it would have been advertised as such until I showed him on my smart phone. He smugly stated "oh well" and made it our problem. We love the food here but were taken aback by the attitude and no initiative whatsoever to make things better... We had 10 people, spent over $300 and to top it off, the waiter automatically added tip without mentioning it, hoping I would potentially double tip. Too many restaurants in Denver with both good food and good service so we won't be returning to Osteria Marco anytime soon"

"We went for mother's day and the food was good, the service was good, the overall experience was good. It is what I have come to expect from a Bonanno restaurant! The only criticism I would provide is that they lacked a brunch specific menu which is minor as there was enough good choices to choose from. This would make a FANTASTIC lunch place during the week."

"Closest thing to Italy we've found in Denver. Authentic Italian pizza with super-thin crust. Homemade cheeses and meats are delicious and the lamb meatballs are amazing. We've been a few times and have not been disappointed. Highly recommended if you love real Italian food!"

"I was visiting Denver last weekend, and this restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. I'm so glad that I did! We had the meatball sliders, the quinoa salad, and the mushroom truffle pizza, and they were all AMAZING. The bread on the sliders was incredible, and the meatballs were spiced perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place to others!"

"Osteria Marco keeps the menu simple and sticks to great flavor combinations to earn its reputation. Paninis, pizzas, salads and a handful of entrees each boast mouth-watering temptations. The meat platter included four delicious flavors, some meats cured in-house, others from New York. Beet salad was well-balanced and light. Carne pizza was tasty but otherwise unremarkable. Rabbit entree was among my top ten entrees ever--so well-balanced, nothing stuck out. The presentation was perfect for getting every component with each bite. Amazing!"

"We are two couples, long time friends, and are always in search of great food and wine. We found it here at Osteria Marco! We shared the mushroom and truffle oil pizza for an appetizer and it was outstanding! Four very different entrees, all winners, including the famous lamb meatballs, the seared scallops, the steelhead, and a special of braised rabbit. We had the wine manager help with a wine selection, and he couldn't have been better, offering a great suggestion that was exactly what we were looking for. The service, especially our waiter Brent, was excellent and fast, and this was on a very busy Saturday night. We will definitely return and bring others along!"

"3rd time dining here - brought a group of friends. Few of us had disappointing entrees, my salad didn't come as described which I didn't realize until I re-read the menu when I got home. My friend added scallops to her entree, was charged 10.50 for 2 of them, which the waiter could have easily given her a heads up about."

"Lamb meatball secondo had a nice flavor, but the meatballs were denser than I like. Odd that there was a section on the menu for secondi (meat course) but no section for primi (pasta course), which generally precedes the secondo. I also thought panini for dinner was a bit odd; seems better suited to a lunch menu. The pizza looked and smelled good, although no one at our table ordered one. It's what I would get next time."

"Hosted a corporate event there for my boss and his team. They had the table set in a nice area away from everyone. The food was on point ! I could tell the ingredients that were used were of fine quality. The waitress was very friendly, but they were super busy so everything did take a little longer than usual. She had to ask for the drink order of one of the people at the table again and moved a bit slow, so that wasn't good, but other than that, IT WAS AMAZING. Will definitely be hosting another event there for the company again ! Everything from drinks, appetizers, to entrees were delicious. When the bill came out we expected it to be way more than it was. Managed to get a high quality meal in that fit our budget, 5 stars !!!!"

"Enjoyed a girls night dinner before a concert. Food was terrific (we had pizza and caesar salad - favors of each dish were right on - perfect to split for 2). Our server was attentive and helpful with trying to get us out on time. Would recommend to all my friends."

"The food was exceptional. Having no prior knowledge going in, I was a little surprised to find that although it was Italian as I'd assumed, there was no pasta on the menu. Mostly gourmet pizza and paninis. Just caught me a little by surprise. We had the homemade Buratta, and their House Sausage pizza, and Fig pizza. All just amazing, but the Fig pizza took the prize!
The setting is beautiful, but I found myself wishing it were a little bit quieter for dinner conversation. But the ambiance really worked with the surrounding decor. It fits exquisitely with the menu: casual elegance."

"I was a bit taken back when we arrived and our table, for a 4:00PM reservation was not ready. The restaurant had called the day before and everything was confirmed. When we arrived it was if the staff had no idea we were coming yet they clearly had our reservation. When we were seated we were litterly put in a corner near the waiting station, yet tables abounded in the room.If it were not for the quality of the food and the serving staff I would never return here."

"Burrata, Ricotta, Lonza, Salumi picante and Prosciutto, all house made, all are incredible. Could easily make a meal on those alone. Good find for artichoke lovers and the spicy lamb meatballs and polenta is really top notch. Disappointment was the ambiance, never an issue at OM. They were busy, a good thing, but we were put in the back corner of the side room next to a large 15 top, which stinks for mood and energy. Not their fault, just disappointed. Our server did her job. No more, no less. They did forgot our sliders (tragedy, they're great!) but she was present and delivered the "standard" for a quality restaurant, which may not separate you, but the Burrata and Lonza does! We'll be back."

"Since I first went to Osteria Marco a couple of years ago the food quality has gone down significantly (has there been a change of ownership or kitchen chefs?) The eggplant parmesian was overcooked and very overloaded with basic mozzarella cheese though had good parmesian shavings. The bruschetta antipasti was soggy and burnt on the outer crusts - it was only slightly saved by the decent ricotta cheese topping. The tiramisu dessert was one of the worst I've ever had - extraordinarily creamy in a taste-less fashion. The service was attentive and friendly but we felt rushed (still working on food when the served tried to whisk it away). Unfortunately I won't return to Osteria Marco anymore and won't be able to recommend it to others."

"The experience was amazing, as always!! The food was phenomenal, every person in my party was very satisfied with their salads. We also shared the Salumi and Fromaggi platter which was an absolute delight with plenty for the table to share. The service was exceptional, friendly, savvy .. We ate outside and it was truly stunning. Larimer St is a true Denver Landmark and the food, wine and ambiance made it even more appealing."
