"Service a little slow especially from the bar. Scallops too salty otherwise very good. Lamb chops excellent. Several large groups made it a little too loud. Will try again."

"My husband and I went to Cork & Cow for our one year anniversary. We had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful, with exposed brick and chandeliers. Our waitress was great. Food was delicious. We will definitely return!"

"The porkchop was great. Bone-In filet was ok comparing to other steakhouses in the Nashville area. Service was a bit slow given that type of restraunt/price-range it cost to eat here.
Overall, I'd go back. Downtown Franklin is a good date night and the food was good."

"Steaks were maybe slightly above average. Service was slow. Took much too long between courses and our waiter seemed to disappear for long periods. Ambiance was nice but, overall, can't compare with Kayne Prime or The Palm."

"I spent the first of the week at a conference in New York eating at 3 well known, expensive steak restaurants. Cork and Cow was better by far than any of them. The cocktails were fantastic, and the food and wine were phenomenal. I would recommend the Silly Goose cocktail, the asparagus salad, the spinach salad, the filet, the scalloped potatoes and the broccoli. We were too stuffed to eat dessert. I plan on going to the Cork and Cow anytime I'm in Franklin."

"Our first visit to C&C was overall a good experience. Parking was easy and the staff was friendly. Our reservation was easily honored on time (645p) and the restaurant wasn't very busy. The service was good and the staff cordial. The only appetizer we tried was the marinated olives which were good. A couple of us had Caesar salad which had Italian dressing instead of Caesar. The steak dinner and C&C did not disappoint. The steaks were generous, tender, well-prepared and very flavorful. The wine list and single malt options were "significant but not special." The cost was reasonable for a steakhouse. It's not Mortons or Ruth's Chris when it comes to overall steak offerings and experience but it was an enjoyable evening just the same."

"Was a longer drive than usual from Hendersonville due to the rain that evening, but still well worth it! The meal was fantastic! Definitely try the bone in filet, very possibly the best steak my wife and I have ever had! Apps, salads and sides were not the normal fare, and all were excellent. We'll be back to try the ones we missed. Service: Incredible! I followed other Open Table reviewers and requested Shane. Great guy, really knows his menu, and he paced our evening perfectly. C & C is one of the few Open Table reservations I've made that they actually noted our special occasion, and made us feel special for our anniversary."

"We were excited to try this new restaurant in downtown Franklin. Not that it was an altogether poor experience, but for the price, there was a lot left to be desired. When we were greeted by our server, we knew our service was going to be on the casual side (which is all the better for us), but his cool demeanor bordered on aloofness. Our appetizer arrived in a timely manner, but was quickly followed by bread and our entrees. We would have liked some more space between courses. The food itself was ok but not worth the price point. While we were expecting a taste we haven't experienced, originality seemed to be lacking."

"Hostess was welcoming and attentive. I wish that attention would have continued. The food was good, but due to the poor service, we will most likely continue to spend our money at Kayne Prime: outstanding food and outstanding service!! . We really wanted to love this place, but just couldn't."

"Everything was very good except for the filet mignon which was just OK. I would give it another try but in doing so I would lower my expectations in regards to the steak or possibly try another entree. Seeing as steak is supposed to be their speciality it was disappointing; however, the appetizer, bread, side items and dessert were all very good and helped salvage the overall experience. I personally think Stoney River has better steaks and they don't hold a candle to Kayne Prime."

"Wonderful dinner! Our server was very friendly; however, she messed up the bill several times and had to keep redoing that. Best steak and cooked to perfection. Loved the lobster mac and cheese but boy was that expensive! Glad to have this restaurant in Franklin. We will be back."

"Absolutely too noisy!! Definitely need some noise baffles or dampeners. The noise detracts from what could have been the best dinner ever. The flavor of all the entrees & sides are outstanding!! The cocktails are unique & enhance the dinner. Except for the distracting noise volume...an excellent dining experience!!"

"The steaks were excellent, as good as I've had anywhere. The peppercorn sauce was a disappointment, very sweet instead of spicy. The Mushroom pudding was awful - no taste. The Asparagus with Bearnaise was very good. The bread loaf was dry and tasteless. The Lobster appetizer had really nice lobster tempura, but the tarragon sauce was not a good choice - too strong a flavor for lobster. The wine list was excellent. Service was generally good, but on occasion seemed to be missing in action."

"We had an amazing experience at Cork + Cow. We chose to eat here for the "Dining Out To Fight Aids" fundraiser because they were donating 50% of their proceeds for the night to AIDS research along with many other restaurants. The entire experience (from our greeting upon arrival to our departure) far exceeded my expectations. Our server, Kristin was extremely personable and attentive. While she remained very busy all night, we felt like her only customer. We enjoyed the best ribeye, filet and scallops in town and the wine list was very extensive. A return visit is definitely in our future."

"Every bit as delicious as it is expensive. The filet was tender and flavorful and perfect with the Asparagus with the Egg on top! Interesting drink menu for those who don't want the same old same ole. Don't be surprised when your tab arrives for about $60 a person. It is pricey, like all great steak houses but you won't begrudge paying the bill because the place is terrific!"

"What a great place! The steaks and scallops were cooked perfectly. House potatoes were delicious and special salad with mozzarella was fantastic. Definitely a place to go on a special occasion. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for. Best eatery I have been to in a long time in Franklin. Waitress and service was great as well. Never had to ask for anything. Will return."

"Restaurant called to confirm reservations - which is always a good sign. Table was waiting when we arrived. Server - Shane - was fantastic. Took every order without writing down and each drink and course was delivered to the right person ( group of 6). Knew the menu and preparation well and made good suggestions. Food was very good - and served hot. Didn't care for the mushroom bread pudding but rest of dinner was great. Everyone ordered differently prepared steaks - all were correct.Molten chocolate cake was to die for - should have ordered it first. One of our party left credit card on table - Shane chased us into the parking lot to bring it back. We will definitely return."

"The food was excellent. As a matter of fact it was some of the best I have had in a while. The service, on the other hand, needs work. First round of drinks took for ever to arrive, bread on table after first food arrived, plates cleared out from in front of patrons while others were not done, requests for what you want for dessert while still eating main course. The place was not that busy but you got the impression that they wanted you our of there as soon as they could."

"The first thing I noticed about the Cork and Cow when we walked in was how loud it was. We went there to have a quiet dinner but got just the opposite. The food was good, not exceptional. My Caesar salad was more like oil and vinegar, my steak was on the tough side, the potatoes were charred, and dessert was passable. The overall experience fell way short of my expectations for a fine dining experience and was more on par with a chain restaurant that has placemats with word puzzles and crayons."

"My husband and I were disappointed that, despite the fact that there were several tables open, we were seated at a tiny table in the center of the room right next to a support beam. We sat there for too long before we were finally greeted by a server. She was perfectly polite and friendly. We ordered drinks from the bar that also took nearly 10 minutes to arrive. After ordering our entrees, our server says that bread will be coming soon. Bread finally arrived less than a minute before the entrees. Things finally improve because our sauteed grouper on a bed of polenta with a side dish of grilled asparagus was outstanding. Definitely go for the food but prepare for slow service (and avoid the only tiny table in the center of the room.)"

"Took clients there earlier this week. Food was good but over-priced for the quality. Steaks were no better than what you could get at Longhorn. Mac and cheese was excellent. Wine prices were outrageous.
Wish them luck, but will not be back."

"We were very disappointed. There was a large, very noisy group near our table. They behaved like they were at a frat party. We were surprised that they were not given a private room. Nothing wrong with celebrating; it should have been in a private room. On too many occasions, members of the party bumped into my wife's chair, making it very difficult for her to enjoy her dinner. The atmosphere in the restaurant was not conducive to enjoying our dinner. We were disappointed because the reviews for the restaurant in the newspaper were very good. It will be difficult for us to return or to recommend the restaurant to our friends. BTW, I never write reviews."

"This not the first time my friends and I have been to the Cork and Cow, so it has to be good for us to keep going back. It's become one of my favorites in Franklin. The lamb chops are delicious and so are the sides. Even though they specialize in steaks, two of our group tried the fish special of the evening and raved."

"This was our first visit. The food was pretty good but the 8 oz filet was rather tough and not really med rare. I was also disappointed in the mushroom bread pudding-it was very heavy. And we were absolutely shocked by the wine prices! $25 for a glass is crazy. We have eaten at many 3-4 star restaurants in DC and elsewhere and generally there is a price range for wine by the glass and the bottle."

"First time here, but not the last! I went with a friend the evening of 3/5 and had a remarkable time. After starting on one of two bottles of Jordan, we both ordered the porterhouse which was cooked to perfection. Glad to finally have a real steak place downtown Franklin.
The service was off the hook - Kristen was phenomenal!"
