The Park stands out from the rest. This hip spot in the heart of the meatpacking district is bound to impress even the most jaded of the New York elite. Each room evokes a different theme--from the rainforest-style dining room to the Red Room infused with Asian aesthetic. The dining room encircles an immense cluster of bamboo, with other tropical plants stand strategically placed. The organic nature of the setting is complimented splendidly by the healthy, adventurous dishes of new American cuisine on the menu. A glass enclosed Atrium offers a secluded and chic spot for any private event or party. The penthouse leads to a rooftop patio with a hot tub, also suited for social gatherings. In addition, a heated outdoor garden with Japanese maple trees gives diners the chance to enjoy the Park's distinct cuisine outside any time of year. Come to the Park and escape from the norm.

"Unfortunately the day was raining badly so the room we requested was closed. The booths in the other room are very hard to get in and out of.
While I enjoyed my meal I found out later two in my party did not.
I still love this place and would return."

"Sadly the service remains poor at this very pretty restaurant. It is good for groups and families with children however we always leave disappointed with the service and the food is mediocre. This could be a great restaurant if they brought up the level of the food and service. There is simply not enough staff and they are clearly not experienced. We will not be going back since there are so many better neighborhood options."

"Maybe one of the more beautiful locations for brunch in the city, but you'd have to go far to find a worse meal. All four of us were left shaking our heads in disappointment. If you have to go, play it very, very safe with the food. Maybe try the bread, maybe try the water. Anything else will disappoint."

"We had a lovely time- I love the setting- I also had my 50th birthday here.My guests were thrilled.
Saturday night My date was blown away by the setting, and ambiance and the prices were very reasonable!
The food was delicious- the dessert they introduced was perfect - the poached pear- especially since I have cut my sugar intake dramatically!
the waiters were lovely and attentive but not over attentive."

"I went here on Valentines Day with my husband. We made reservations through Open tableand when we arrived waited about 10 minutes to be seated. We had to wait a while to have orders taken but it was expected due to the fact that it was very busy and a holiday at that. The food was great though my husband complained the portion was too small (but he is rather greedy). The drinks were good and the atmosphere was very romantic and pretty. Overall I had a great time and would definitely go back for a date or just with friends."

"The Park is a brunch favorite of mine. They have some solid menu choices, espcially a southern classic - chicken and waffles. I enjoy dining in the enclosed "outside" portion of the restaurant. There is plenty of lighting and it just works great on a sunny afternoon. Service has always been decent leaving me with no complaints."

"Great atmosphere, great service, great food! It was my first visit at The Park. I would definitely go back. The restaurant is a little out of the way if you are using public transportation. You would have to walk two very long blocks (equivalent to 4 blocks put together) from the closest train station. Located in an area that is not very appealing (too many warehouses around). You wouldn't think that a great restaurant like The Park would be so isolated from the main streets of New York City. The Park is a hidden gem. Worth the trip!"

"The park is a beautiful venue. It is a perfect place to bring a date. Had the Portobello mushroom fries which were...not great. the filet mignon in the port wine reduction with jumbo asparagus was excellent and so were the mashed potatoes. an overall enjoyable experience."

"The Park was a great place for a Valentine's Day late dinner. The restaurant was very crowded but we did not feel cramped due to the spaciousness of the design and the placement of the tables. The food was interesting and we made some good choices with the beet salad, the shrimp skewers, and the tuna dishes. The creme brulee was big enough for two to share!"

"Went on a very cold weekend evening. We were asked if we wanted to sit inside or out in the park, the hostess said most guest prefer the park. We were seated in the front by the doors. While this would have been fine and probably very nice in the summer, the doors were flimsy and it was very cold. There are heaters hanging above but they only provided temporary spurts of warmth. The food was good and the service was friendly . It did get dark while we were there though and it was almost impossible to see your food. We thought maybe we should have eaten inside as we left we discovered it was even colder inside due to the fact that there were no heaters in there but it was still getting the draft from outside."

"I've have been to the Park previously. However this time it was one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. I called to say that I was running a bit late, the girl who answered the phone thought I was a bit weird for doing so - (thought it was the right thing to do if reservations are being held for you)?? The service was HORRIBLE!!Too many customers and not enough waiters to facilitate. We waited for a long time to get our food. The service was POOR and the waitress was cold. She clearly had too many tables to attend and by pass our food and drink twice before telling her it was ours. The host was not very friendly as well."

"I found it very bizarre that, after being seated, and our food orders taken,
we were asked to provide ID for everyone at the table (six people, all very clearly aged between 40 and 60 ! ) before
we could order wine. I have never encountered this in a restaurant before. Even more
ridiculous, given that a number of our party had already been served drinks at the bar with no ID
requested. It's this type of nonsense that makes me determined not to return or recommend."

"The food, service, and drinks were great. It also wasn't all that expensive. Directly across the street is a parking garage that on a Saturday night was only $15.00. Just don't let them sit you up front by the windows on a cold night. You will freeze!"

"Went early on a Friday night for dinner at 8 pm, sat in the garden, which was very romantic. Food was good (not excellent--but was not expecting excellence of course), prices were good for food in NYC in a gorgeous space. Was quiet at first. By the time we left around 10-10:30, the bar area was picking up, so we could have hung around there after dinner as well, but we had plans to meet people at another place. Have no complaints. Already recommeded this place to a friend to take his date."

"Went for my mom's birthday dinner. She was visiting from out of town and really appreciated the ambiance and the quality of the food. We had some apple martinis, the lentil salad, the salmon, the chicken, and the burger, and a couple different desserts. All were fantastic! We will be back for more!"

"As always, they're able and happy to take a large group but I was surprised taht our waitress literally yelled at the table rather than speaking to one side and then perhaps having to repeat herself to the other.
Also it seemed that she believed that once the order was in her responsibilities with our table we over and done with, after all, gratuity is included with large groups."

"i have been to this place several time to parties organized by let my people go - and it was always crowded and great. but this time we went for new years dinner and it was disappointing. food is just ok. champagne was bad and served warm. free entrance was promised to the upstairs lounge - but didn't happen. when we were making a reservation we were told that there will be some party downstairs and that we are welcome to stay at the table until 2am because we were the last dinner reservation and it was the New Years. however we were told otherwise by the rude and strange looking host. only 5 to midnight they put NYC ball drop on the screen - after we have asked for it several times. i do not recommend it for anything besides for parties"

"honestly, the food was pretty middling. caesar salad was good, fish dishes ok--def not that fresh, rigatoni terrible--pasta overcooked and bland. i could get better from my cheap local pizzeria. the waitress was very friendly but spotty--slow and not always around when we needed her. i hadn't been there in a while and wanted to check it out again but i don't think i'll be back, at least not for dinner. the bar is totally cool and i can see why the place does well, but forget about the food."

"the staff was pleasant, the atmosphere was nice (we sat in the garden room), but the service was uneven (one entree arrived 15 minutes later than the others), and the food was pretty bad, although it might have been better if it had been hot (we waited until we were all served to eat). in a nutshell . . . pros: we were not rushed and the room was nice . . . cons: the service was spotty but at least pleasant, and the food was subpar. i would still return in spite of the food if i were looking to have a leisurely meal with friends. we also had a post-dinner drink at the bar . . . the bar was crowded, but is large enough to accommodate the crowd."
