"Excellent food but not for everyone. Most items on menu include chef's personal twist which might appeal to foodies but may not be what the average diner prefers. We started with a 3oz pour of white Bordeaux wine for $4 and, unbeknownst to us we were brought a $10 white Burgundy. Thinking we were drinking to lower priced wine and enjoying it we ordered a bottle. We learned about the mistake when the waiter brought the expensive bottle of Burgundy. The waiter apologized and we changed our wine selection to a more moderately priced bottle but were still charged for the more expensive glasses. Also, the deserts were very average and not up to the quality of the apps, is all plates and large plates."

"We were very disappointed. We had enjoyed Vin is the past on our annual ski trip, but it has changed. The menu had only heavy meat choices; when the items came they had only 1-2 tablespoons of whatever vegetable garnisheshad been promised. One diner was a vegetarian, but the waiter refused to create a vegetable plate while the choice of side dishes was very limited. The rabbit was dry without adequate supply of garnish to moisten; the undercooked lamb was a generous piece of meat but had only a scant vegetable garnish. It required considerable effort to get our waiter to return and to send the lamb back for adequate, but very slow, cooking.
The restaurant we new has raised prices, narrowed the choices, and lowered all other standards."

"We really wanted to like this restaurant more than we did. We knew it was pricey and were fine with it, as we were expecting some really great flavors. We tried a couple of the recommended pork dishes, a duck dish and the soup of the night. The presentation of all the plates was great, but the food was all pretty bland. It really lacked the wow that we expected. We had to ask for salt and pepper, which is not kept on the table, because it was just too bland for us. We do like spicier foods, however, I think this would be a dissappointment even for those who do not like a lot of spice. We ate at the restauant next door, The Blue Plate, the next night and the food was much better."

"Enjoyed our view of the mountains while having a drink. The wine list was impressive with many selections. Everyone enjoyed the bruchetta and the presentation. My scallops were delicious- could have had one more-but did order off the small plate selection. My friends had the stuffed pork and commented that the pork was tender, juicy and delicious. We ended our evening with white chololate cheesecake that came with a chocolate covered strawberry. Enough to split and tasted sinful."

"Changed reservation at last minute to add add'l 3 people to our original reservation for 4 and they accomodated with no problem. We share the hummus and bruschetta appetizers and both were very unique and outstanding - a lot of flavor. Everyone's main course was great - both in taste and presentation (our group had the veal chop, rabbit three ways, stuffed pork loin, scottish salmon and lamb loin). The only negative was that the lamb loin was pretty difficult to get the meat off of the bone. Shared sides of french fries and truffled cauliflower rounded out our excellent meal."
