"Asia de Cuba is by far one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles and they did not disappoint this visit. Took mom here to celebrate Mother's Day - she loved every second at our table window and every bite of our delicious meal. The sea bass is my go to, and we opted for that and the cod. You can never go wrong with the plaintain fried rice or the lobster mashed potatoes. I also wanted her to try the scallop appetizer dish, but they only come with two (there were three of us dining), and our server so graciously offered to add another to the order. Super impressed."

"The food was excellent. We were 7 (moms, sisters, kids) - had an early mother's day lunch on Saturday. The service was excellent. The Chef came out and greeted us! We had a great time and REALLY enjoyed the food! I definitely recommend this restaurant to others!"

"What an amazing night, as usual. I hosted a birthday dinner at Asia de Cuba for 8 people. Every aspect of our experience wad 5-star....from our pre-dinner drinks at SKYBAR, to them seting us at the perfect outdoor table, to the waiter, to the beautiful people. I have been a fan of this restaurant, bar and hotel since it's inception. It never dissappoints."

"Website not updated. Half of the things the brunch was supposed to have we're not offered. We spent $250. Party of 4 for food we could've had at our local,diner for 1/3 of the price or less. Very poor selection of food. Grilled food was cold. This was a B-Day brunch, they gave us a small cake that we end up paying. They should've asked if we were interested in the cake and add that is not complements do the restaurant. Very bad experience. Won't recommend to any one I know."

"My husband and I booked a table here for us and important people from Disney, we requested a "window" table outside or inside a month in advance and were also staying at the horribly over hyped Mondrian hotel it is attached to and our request was not honoured, we were given a horrible table plonked right in the middle of the restaurant, no direct view, ignored most of the time by the staff and a poor experience and over priced for what we received. We will not go back there again and I never ever complain about restaurants ever, so this was a bad experience for me to feel this way. ...took over an hour to order a drink...just poor, pretentious servers who are more into their own acting careers than their customers."

"We had to wait for 15 min even after a reservation. We were a party of 7 and they had few big tables.The waitress the good and drinks we ordered came in time. They have reduced the portion of the meals which is bad but the food is good.Had the BBQ beef ribs which were great. The salmon dish was only OK . Lot of other dishes we ordered which i dont remember. Liked the ambience and the feel. overall good but expensive"

"Our group enjoyed Easter Brunch at Asia de Cuba. The food stations were unique -- yakitori, ceviche, sushi, dim sum -- and delicious. They had all the classic brunch fare as well, eggs, bacon, bagels, lox, etc. The space is beautiful with views of LA. Only complaint: no bottomless champagne. We'll be back."

"My wife and I went to Asia de Cuba for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we couldn't be happier. Despite the fact that the restaurant was packed and noisey, our table was quiet and provided us with a very romantic and accommodating environment. The food was absolutely spectacular and we couldn't have asked for kinder service. Highly recommend coming here for any occasion, but especially a special one. They know how to treat you right."

"Not my first time to Asia de Cuba, so I was disappointed at how bad our wait staff was on 3/1. We were told that another server would take over, given his name. Then was asked twice if the other server ever came?? He finally did...to bring us the bill. In the meantime, we had to flag down our original server to take our drink menu (which we asked for more time), but the food came before our drink order was even taken. For the amount of money, it is not worth it. Instead, I would recommend hanging out at the bar and ordering food there."

"Asia de Cuba never disappoints! This is the 3rd one I've been to and it's superb. Kimchi and oxtail dumplings were exquisite as were the crabcakes and the Tofu entree. Beatriz the hostess is the warmest, friendliest maitre'd Ever. Period. We are in love with her and will propose on our next visit. The views are spectacular (even two rows back from the picture window) Despite the chill, the patio seating was also in full effect and wonderful. We did not go to Skybar after but from what we could hear and see of the patrons entering, it was live!"

"I've enjoyed this restaurant in the past in NYC, so I had high expectations of great food. These expectations were met! The server was great and very helpful in picking great meal selections as well as drinks. My girlfriend and I went out for my birthday and it was a great place to celebrate."

"Great view but view limited to only a few tables, the rest of the restaurant is just OK. Poor service. The second course was served before my party had time to finish their first course. In response the waiter said "hey don't blame me, I didn't fire it". After the main course was served, the waiter disappeared and we couldn't get another drink. The Dine LA deal was a bust. Served 3 first's for a party of 5. Everyone got their own main course and 2 family style sides were served. Sharing the sides we each got a teaspoon of veggies and a teaspoon of rice. The 5 of us then shared 2 tiny deserts. You would think a restaurant would showcase their food during Dine LA so customers would come back, we won't."

"We got the fixed menu for Dine LA. The salad was the best thing on the menu. It shouldn't be the best thing on the menu. They also made my friend and I share the appetizer and dessert. What if I had come alone? Would they serve me half the appetizer and dessert? We both had to pay for a full fixed menu so it doesn't make sense to me. Definitely not returning if this is their idea of trying to pinch pennies."

"The food was good, not great. You're mostly paying for the location and ambiance. The food just wasn't good enough to justify the prices. The same goes for the drinks. Nothing amazing or outstanding. Before being seated my friend and and I waited at the bar and had a drink. My friend had asked if they could make an "old fashioned" and the bar tender offered to make it with jack daniels!!! No!!!
Their seared ahi tuna could definitely have been a better cut of tuna. The mashed potatoes seemed like instant potatoes. Basically it's nothing I couldn't have whipped up at home with a minimal amount of effort. For some reason our dishes weren't even hot, actually they were barely even warm. Our seating seemed like an odd spot as well."

"This was my 2nd time here for Dine LA and I loved it even more! The service was superb & the food was beyong great! We had beef salad which was probably the best salad I've had in my life! We both had miso salmon which was fresh, and Mexican donuts for dessert was yummy!!"

"I chose this place as it had good reviews and it was dine LA week. There were two of us and I thought that we would get a good range of their cooking. Well they advised us that we would have to share out entree and dessert but were free to choose our own main. Pretty disappointed as they would do the same for one person but the entree would be a smaller portion. For 45 dollars and as advertised I expected better. The second disappointment was the food, it was nicely displayed but lacked creativity and while it tasted great also tasted very plain. Pretty basic all in all, for a highly rated restaurant I expected more. Won't be going back"

"Started with the Classic Mojito and the Bourbon Spice cocktails. They were wonderful! then our shared appetizer was the Honey Rum Pork Belly that melted in your mouth and was cooked to perfection.
Entre was Palomillo Of Beef with sofrito & orange oil and Pan Seared Ahi Tuna with wasabi mashed potato’s The tuna paired with mashed potato’s was a major stand out of the night. The sofrito Was very flavorful and nice with the beef although the cut itself was a bit tough but had a good flavor. The Plantain Fried Rice with Avocado Salsa was to die for and just as good as it sounds.
For Dessert we enjoyed Mexican Doughnuts with toffee sauce and Molten Chocolate Cake with vanilla ice cream and plantain chips."

"Love the food and the ambience. I dislike the location and the parking situation. While the hotel has valet --$15 is expensive for valet. Other than location and expensive parking --I enjoyed the food, the service and attention by the host. The attention makes the difference!"
