"Always enjoy dining here and love the new look of their remodel! Excellent service by all staff as usual. Delicious menu options. The insalata tricolore is always a nice start to begin the meal. We also ordered the gnocchi, the sea bass, and sea scallops, all cooked perfectly and arrived quickly to our table. Always a pleasure and looking forward to the next time we visit!"

"We were seated for more than 10 minutes and no waiter came to greet me or bring us water. The bus boy brought us the bread and breadsticks, and we had to ask him to bring us some water. He finally got the water and gave to our waiter to give to us. The service was lacking for us. Another table fo 4 came as we were finishing our meal. Their waiter came greeted them immediately...maybe they look like they were going to spend a lot.
I had the seafood risotto. The rice was so mushy like porridge. My son's mushroom risotto was a little better. It was very disappointing in both food and service. Will only go back to try other dishes if I have a big discount."

"We knew it was here around the corner in Addison and finally tried it. Very impressed with the size, scope, and natural feel of the place. Everyone was attentive, most particularly Ari our wonderful wait person. Just the right amount of attention, always there and helpful. Very impressed with wine list which gave an outstanding selection at all prices. They had both an inexpensive Nero D'Avila, something you don't always see, and a pricier (and worth it) one. Food very good , oso bucco was perfect, and the best compliment was that both girls took doggie bags of their pasta with bolognese and then took it to lunch the next day. All desserts were excellent. Once again kudos to Ari for the fantastic attention. We'll be back."

"The complimentary valet now costs $5.00. Did not hold window table as I had requested in my reservation. Took us to a totally unacceptable table, so we waited for a better location in the dining room. Received two separate menus with higher prices for the same item on the new menu vs. old menu price. Server did not tell price of specials. Scallops were overcooked and rubbery. Pasta was overcooked like it had been heated in a microwave.
Overall, not a good experience."

"We have been to Mi Piaci both for lunch and for dinner, and every time has been an outstanding experience. Our waiter this past time, Luigi, was so friendly and knowledgable. He had great timing and was very knowledgable of both the menu and the wine list. I'd definitely recommend the place for a date night or for an evening out with friends."

"A good dining experience exist of good food and good service.Our visit on March 29 th lacked good service. The waiter was rude. My thank you whenever he served a drink or a plate was never answeredby: you are welcome. Not once did he ask if we liked our food.We had better and friendlier service at the IHOP we visited for breakfast.As a result of this experience we will never return in spite of the good food.This is the first time I have ever written a review as I have never encountered this kind of a poor service."

"Very disappointing! This is our 3rd or 4th time and we've always enjoyed it. That's why we picked this to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Though mentioned in open table about our anniv. it was never even acknowledged. Food was just ok. Is it possible the portions got even smaller since we were last there. Also, no pizza on dinner menu . how sad. Something is different about this place since we've were here a year ago. New chef? Higher prices? It's just not the same and we will probably not return."

"What happened? Must be under totally new management. I have been dining here for years and I like it for the food and atmosphere. I last dined here about 6 weeks ago. So I drive up to the valet to park and for the first time in 15 plus years, the attendant hands me a parking receipt and tells me it will be $5.00. My reservation was at 8PM and we arrived at 7:30 PM because we wanted to have a drink in the "New Lounge". The new lounge is gone and now part of the restaurant. The manager asked if we could go ahead an take a table because they were so busy and he was not sure he could seat us at 8 PM. Funny, seeing as how they called twice to confirm my reservation. We were seated in what was the new lounge and not what I expected. Hmmm!"

"We eat dinner rather early, and using OpenTable, I had pre-noted that we were coming for our anniversary. When we arrived, we were seated by two other seated parties, even though the rest of the restaurant was wide open. I would think for a little more privacy they would have at least spaced us out a bit. Also, at the end of the meal, they had us fill out a survey for a free bottle of champagne for our anniversary, but they didn't mention that at the beginning knowing it was our anniversary. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place, but it could use just a tad more polish to make it extra special."

"We were treated like royalty, even with our Groupon. It would have been much, much harder to afford this place in this economy without the Groupon, and I am so grateful for having had it! Now, we are already planning to return.The food was elegant and perfect in flavor, not weighed down by sauces meant to "disguise"--just delicious ones that enhanced as accompaniments.
A restaurant is defined by its staff as much as its food, and both were superb. We were made to feel at ease and were given a wonderful table (not stuck off by the kitchen door!). We enjoyed every single minute of our experience. Mi Piaci? Your Groupon paid off. We will definitely be back--and bringing friends with us as well. Thank you."

"Mi Piaci was another great experience. Great interactive service, but at times peripheral staff was too eager. (I had a party of 4 reserved. My wife and I arrived first and were seated at a table set for 4. The other guests were a surprise for my wife's birthday. TWICE, while waiting for our guests, staff picked up the additional two place settings. So, TWICE, I had to tell them to go away -- they were spoiling the surprise! And my wife began to wonder when I had to get up so often). Rough start. Other staff needs to know when the reservation is for 4 persons but only 2 have arrived."

"One of the better Italian restaurants in Dallas. They recently spent a fair amount updating the interior and did a nice job.
Good selection of foods--pasta, meat and fish. Dishes were well executed (plates where not hot enough, which drives me crazy) and very fresh ingredients.
Wine list was solid.
I recommend the place. For the price a great value."

"We had a great corporate event at Mi Piaci a few years ago that was nice so I was excited to revisit it. Unfortunately, this experience was underwhelming. After we were seated it took between 10/15 minutes before our waitress came to the table. As soon as we were about to inquire about it the waitress came over however she didn't offer an apology for the wait. My guess is she just didn't know how long it had been. Beyond that she was great! Although the food was good, there was nothing exciting or memorable about it. I had a pork tenderloin and my wife had a pasta dish. Again mine was pretty good but not overly flavorful. It is possible we just made the wrong selections. Its a nice place but there are too many other great options in Dallas."

"Food and wait staff service was very good. However, the table they sat us at was horrible. It was right in front of a huge column. It was very crowded, almost like it was an after thought to put a table there. The person in the table next to us, kept banging his chair into mine.
When we checked in, the manager told the Hostess where to seat us. Then when my Husband said something to him on our way out about the table being very small and in a crowded area, he apologized and said they usually only have that table set up for Valentines Day. Hmmm, Valentines Day was a month ago. We were disappointed by this part of our experience at this restaurant."

"Nice table overlooking the pond at sunset. Two great appetizers - the house pine nut and bleu cheese salad and the fried gnocchi. Can't go wrong with homemade pasta and I did not with the noodles with artichokes and sun dried tomatoes. My husband loved his tuna on a bed of vegetable studded risotto. "The food was average, at best, for the price point. I must say of everything I ate the bread was actually my favorite. I ordered the cheese tortellini with crab. The crab was great, the white truffle sauce was so flavorful, but the tortellini was so dense and heavy. Lobster bisque was lacking in lobster. The lemon torte dessert was quite refreshing and a nice end to the meal. Unfortunately, the service was the nail in the coffin. Service was slow and the waiter never once asked how our meal was. I had even mentioned wanting to wait until the meal came to get a second glass of wine, but he swiped my wine glass while walking by the table never bothering to even ask if I were done or wanted more. Worst service experienced in a very long time."

"Great spot hidden in plain view. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and mentioned it on our reservation, there was nothing said or done with that detail. We had to pay for the birthday desert and no happy birthday amenities were given. That was the lone complaint"

"Our dinner was delicious! My husband had the seafood pasta special and I enjoyed the halibut special. Both entrees were fresh and delicious. We ordered an appetizer to share, and while we did not get what we ordered, what we received was delicious....though it was rather a surprise to get the bill and find our appetizer was $26 as opposed to the one we ordered at $16. Service was nice though slow at times. We weren't sure our waiter was truly listening to us as we asked questions and ordered since he kept asking us to repeat our order. Guess that would have been helpful had he done so to prevent a $26 appetizer. A very pleasant evening and delicious dinner. We will go back."

"The atmosphere at Mi Piaci's was very nice and relaxing; there were a number of diners there and with the exception of a young child making some noise, it was still very peaceful. The food was good overall. I had the pasta with chicken which was tasty, but there was very little chicken in the dish. More substantial chicken and the dish would be excellent. I also had the beet salad which had small diced cold beets on it with a sliver of goat cheese. It tasted good, but I was hoping it would be a warm salad with roasted beets, which I thought would have been better. We had the panna cotta "Italian cheesecake" and it was excellent. Very light and tasty. A great way to end the dinner."

"Service was excellent. Food was very good, but expensive. The wine we chose (Orvieto white) was expensive and not very good (not their fault entirely - we picked it). Elegant place to take a special person/persons, but not great value for once-a-week eating out. Grand total (with generous tip for great service) was $290 for four people, including one bottle of wine."

"Went because we had a Groupon; The food was awesome as well as the ambiance; husband and I went there for our anniversary. It wasn't a busy night, but they seemed to have an abundance of waitstaff...they must have been bored because at one point they got a little loud and I overheard them talking about one waiter getting "completely stiffed". Other than that, the night was enjoyable and we'd definitely return."

"The food was very good and a beautiful restaurant. I Enjoyed my time with my girlfriend. However, i had a reservation and I was given a table that was too close to other table. I felt uncomfortable with the other couple next to us. We changed tables and we got the table next to the kitchen. I guess because we were a party of two only, they were not siting us in the tables for 4 or more. Moreover, the server was not able to describe the dishes in a very good way and it seem rushed."
