"First went to Wildfire in Chicago, and was in love with the steak and ambiance. So glad we have this fine dining in Tysons. Good for special occasion- but comfortable to just grab a nice meal. Not pretentious at all. - suitable for school aged kids and up....8 yr. old loved the kids filet and mash, 15 yr old enjoyed her steak as well!
We plan to go more often, they have some good specials and events we want too try out as well."

"Great food, but service was very slow during a non busy time. It was so slow that our group decided to bring our dessert home. Waiter forgot to bring stuff even after being reminded. I reserved for a special occasion but the restaurant did not do anything. Other places would bring out a small dessert or something for the occasion."

"The food is excellent as usual. The service would have been much better if the 18% gratuity was not kicked in automatically. I believe the waitress we had provided poor service as she only came to the table once. It was other servers that were in the area who after asking provided us with more water. The wine list is great, but disapointed with this visit. My last visit was superb! Also the air conditioning provided too much cold air and made the room uncomfortable."

"My husband and I dined at Widfire for his birthday, The meal itself was okay but the noice level behind me was really bad, Not only that , they were a party of 7 and I guy was practically sitting in my lap. at the same time bumping into my back. At one stage I actually said Excuse Me he then apologized."

"My mother chose Wildfire because a friend recommended it to her. I made the reservation, looked over the menu and was excited for our outing. I was ready for the Bacon Pancakes from the brunch menu, unfortunately, since it was a special occasion they weren't serving this dish! (Don't worry I had such a nice time I will be back to get them.) The service was wonderful. We arrived about 15 mins earlier than our reservation, but we were seated right away.
Great food, great service, nice ambiance. Will definitely return!"

"Been to Wildfire many times and have had very good experiences, but this one was a little disappointing. Ordered prime rib and requested end cut. What I got was pretty well done piece of prime rib, but it was not an end cut. When I asked again if this was the end cut, I was told yes, but I know prime rib, and I know this was not what I requested. I did not send it back. I kept my order, but I was disappointed, and I knew better. My husband had a special which was Wildfire's equivalent of beef Wellington, which was a much better dish."

"We choose to eat in the evening rather than at a typical holiday brunch time. We made reservation for 7:30 pm and was seated promptly. This proved to be a smart choice the dining room was about two thirds full and not as tight. As usual we enjoyed everything about WildFire, the food, wine list and desert the wait staff was excellent. I ordered the Porterhouse Lamb chops, they were very flavorful and cooked as requested. The Mother's Day selection of wine from Benzinger Vineyards ( Cabernate) was excellent, we had two bottles one each of 2008 and 2009 vintage."

"On our most recent visit to Wildfire we were very pleased. The service was excellent and the food divine. This is one of our favorite restaurants. "We gathered the entire family to celebrate Mothers Day. This is one of the best restaurants in the Northern Va. area for a get together. No waiting as the Open Table Reservation got us seated immediately, even though it was a very busy time. The meal was delicious as we had steaks all around. All were cooked to perfection and seasoned to temp the palate. Dessert was served, which we all split two chocolate lava cakes, YUM!"

"We went with another couple to celebrate two of our birthdays. I had mad the reservation several days ahead, and they even called to confirm. What I was not expecting that in this large restaurant, was to be seated in the bar area. We had a nice large table for four, but thought that was odd. We did not say anything, they were busy.
We had a good dinner. Two of us got the special halibut and was pleased, but my husbands steak w/blue cheese was the winner. My advice "get the steal at a steakhouse!" I will return and order the steak.
The martinis were perfect, and the wine list had a wine we love that we never see anywhere.
So all in all I will go back, get the steak, and not sit in the bar area."

"We had a group of 9 and the restaurant was accomodating in putting us in a more secluded and quiet room so we could sit and talk during our meal. The waiter also turned down the music in our room at our request so we could hear better. The restaurant can get a bit loud but we were able to work around that easily with our requests. The food was great and there was quite a selection on the menu. We definitely will go back again."

"Having read other reviews before we went, we arrived with some positive expectations but were not expecting the food to be bad! We did receive a table in a quieter area as requested when we booked - that was about the only positive aspect of our visit. My husband's steak looked like a burnt slice of bacon and my daughter's steak, albeit larger than a slice of bacon (she chose the filet mignon -not the petite size) arrived with a black crust. We can only presume that the steaks had been marinated and that the sugar in the marinade caused them to incinerate. We should have sent them back but we are too polite and any way, the waiter did not come back to ask how our food was. My seafood trio was fine. The potato au gratin side was almost cold."

"This was our first trip and we enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. I tried the filet sampler recommended by the waitress, with the peppercorn, parmigiana and mushroom toppings (one one each). I really liked the peppercorn and parmigiana. My husband had the prime rib, which was slightly overcooked for a medium-rare request, but it was good. Waitress was excellent - and so was the Wildfire Chardonnay (I am not a wine connoisseur ...) We enjoyed the cookie desert, which was complimentary for our first visit. We'll definitely go back and try some of their other menu options."

"One of the guest in my party was a bit disappointed that the brunch menu did not offer grits or a (white) gravy to pair with his initial menu choice. As a result, I don't expect he would return for a brunch. Otherwise, the food and ambiance was nice.

"We had a very enjoyable family outing to celebrate my wife's birthday. We originally requested reservations for 8 but it quickly grew to 11 and Wildfire was more than accomodating. As ususal, great service and good food. We will definitely return in the future."

"I see Wildfire as a 'what you see is what you get' kind of restaurant. The menu is pretty much standard fare and in line with many other restauarnts of the same type. The meat is good quality and well cooked, service is attentive and enthusiastic. Portion sizes are good.
Wine prices are high and for a standard two course meal with a glass of wine you are quickly into $50+ a head, which feels steep for a mass-market outlet like this."

"Food was ok, I know my friend's salad was great. We took her there to celebrate her birthday. They took a while to bring our food, and our server checked our table very infrequently, so I had wait a while to get a refill on my coffee and for other requests. I guess they get too busy on a weekend. Food was so-so."

"This was the first time everything went well at this restaurant, so things are potentially looking up here. We all noted, however, an oddity that perhaps encapsulates this restaurant. The food was tepid. In all of our visits, maybe 10-15, the food has never arrived hot. We have no idea why, and while a couple of times we have had to return it as cold, it's usually acceptable, but the establishment cannot seem to deliver a hot serving."

"we had a banquet table in the bar area and i think our server was trying but had too many tables. The glass of chardonnay I ordered was about 3 oz...in all my years, i have never seen such a small pour...prime rib sandwich was delish..fries ok, may have been sitting for a while under the lights...husbands seafood trio was a hit"
