Josiah and Khin Khin Slone create a warm, friendly, and comfortable food-focused environment at Sent Sovi – at once a destination for diners from the entire Bay Area and members of the local community. Chef Josiah works closely with local farmers, purveyors, and small local wineries to bring a Californian influence to French cuisine in preparing seasonal and stylish wine friendly food. More than 20 wine selections are offered by the glass from their state of the art dispensing system. Guests can choose to pair them with a three or four course prix fixe menu, or six course Chef's or Vegetarian tasting menu.
Copper wainscoting, hardwood floors, and a flower strewn outdoor patio, help create an intimate atmosphere in which to enjoy the experience.

"I first tried the food in 2002 and I have eaten there 10 times since. Josiah and crew are usually flawless and this time was no exception. While our server this time was superb, service can be a bit spotty at times. Nonetheless the food is generally exciting and perfectly cooked and seasoned."

"Really disappointed on every level with this restaurant. The food was very over done with salt and nothing felt fresh. Service was awkward and I felt like they were trying to up sale us on our order. Interior felt dated and conversation from one table could be heard across the room -killing any sense of intimacy about the restaurant. There is absolutely no quality behind the cost of this establishment. Go to the Plumed Horse or The Basin if dining in Saratoga."

"Went to Sent Sovi for my wife's birthday. Our reservation was on a Wednesday night, so the restaurant was far from capacity - I believe it would have been much busier on a weekend, or during summer. They had a nice menu option, where you chose between - I believe 7 - course pre-fix, or a choice of 3 of 4 selections. The food was delicious, the wine selection was impressive, and the personal touch was nice. The chef and owner came out after our meal and thanked us for dining there. We received a complimentary amuse-bouche before our meal, and all three courses were delicious. Didn't have any desert - due to being too full - but the ones they were carrying out to the other tables looked delicious. Will definitely make it back there one day."

"We selected the 4-course prix fixe menu. Food quality and presentation were generally excellent, although one second course (golden beet salad) was undistinguished. We were disappointed that the normally quiet and romantic dining room seems to be periodically invaded by the wealthy, self-absorbed Saratoga set with their uncontrolled kids - an issue not the fault of Sent Sovi, but of these particular guests. Self-focus to the point of ruining the experience of others appears to be a Silicon Valley disease."

"The dining room is a little less pristine than I had imagined for their reputation. Nothing that could not be fixed right up with a little bit of paint. It was very quiet - with only 1/4 of the tables filled on a Saturday night. The service was very attentive and the food very tasty."

"Ordered the chef's special, which was very good with a couple of upgraded substitutions because they were out of crab and the port listed. Would love to know more about the sourcing especially for sustainable choices like local, organic, humane :( foie gras or veal, for both food and wine. A lovely romantic, quiet dinner!"

"The food was excellent.
Menu said 5 wine pairings. Printed list of wines had only 4 wines. Waitress offered to give additional wine for main course. She didn't have an explanantion for the difference.
She brought the soup 2 minutes after we got the apperative. Other than that, the service was terribly slow.
Wine was supposed to be premium wines but they were not.
For spending close to $400, I would expect a better experience."
