"This is the 3rd or 4th time I've eaten here, but the first time for dinner, celebrating Mother's Day and my mother's birthday. Despite our early dinner (6:30p), half the staff seemed to be frazzled and disheveled. Our server forgot to take our drink order, then forgot to bring the appetizer we ordered. Our food took quite some time to get to the table, and the first time it wasn't even our food. At the end of dinner, we had to remind the server and another waiter that we had ordered dessert, the wrong check was dropped off at our table, and the wrong dessert was delivered. (When we asked the server from a table next to ours if she could make sure our dessert was coming, she was rather rude and said she didn't know who our server was.)"

"The last time we ate here was about three years ago. He first thing we noticed was the more diverse menu. The service was also more attentive. Jamal was our waiter, and he was very good. He new the menu well, and was well aware of our desires to know when, and when not, to service us.
The food was also much improved. Our last experiences were kind of flat. Then, the food was not so memorable. This time was different. Our meal was well prepared by chefs that know the craft. Flavorful, with just the right amount of spices.
My wife had the red snapper, I had the seafood spanish paella. The snapper was good, but the paella was great!
River City Brewing Co is back on our list..."

"The hubs for the filet and I got the lobster pasta special. The food was very good! It seemed a bit pricy for the atmosphere though. We went on a Friday night and sat by the window overlooking the water. Enjoyed the sunset, but there was a table of business men drinking heavily beside us that were loud and ruined the ambiance. Our server was excellent though. He was very attentive and helped us make our selections. I ordered a Sprite and then a Ginger Ale, but the soda machines were not working properly, so I settled for the water. We will return due to the steak being prepared perfectly medium and the lobster being prepared well too, but will request a more private location for seating. The service was above the bar!"

"remembered this as being quite the happening place when i live in Jacksonville 15 years ago, especially on a Friday night.
The place seems to need some attention (rotting , moss filled deck boards), and the beer isn't as good as I recall...could be a change in my taste.
Jacksonville in general just seemed very quiet.
We only had wings and beer...they were okay. It was just nice to sit outside on the waterfront (bar side) in February. Can't do that much in NJ.
A band was playing and the lead singer was awesome. They did mostly acoustic and highlighted her great voice."

"We had a fantastic night dining with another couple in our group. We arrived and because we had reservations we were seated right away. The waiter attended to our needs and was able to answer any of our questions pertaining to the items on the menu. The head waiter also came around and asked how our night was going showing genuine concern for our dining experience. The cooks prepared and presented a great meal my wif and I both had the Chicken Roulade, something that either of us had ever had, and it was great. Thank you for your hospitality.

"I found the River City Brewing Company to be less of a brewery and more of a restaurant bordering on fancy with a spectacular view. It's menu was easy to navigate and we found the food we ordered to be good and the beers brewed on premises (?) to be fair to good.
Our server, Patrick, was very attentive, and really helped make the dinner go well by providing suggestions and modifying our meals."

"River City Brewing Company has expanded their brunch menu to serve eggs cooked-to-order! So now you can get eggs over easy or an egg-white omelet! The only thing is some of their chefs are still learning to cook these items so they are runny or too greasy; this is easily fixable with some quick training. Sadly, on our last visit, the bacon was burnt to a crisp and despite waiting and waiting, they never brought out fresh (even after requesting for some from our server). However, the meal is still fantastic, they aim to please and when these two little issues are resolved...we will be making enjoying brunch here a habit!"

"RCB is one of the nicest and most pleasant places to eat. The place has an upscale ambiance but prices are affordable. The dish that I had was shrimp and grits. Oh so delicious. The grits were smooth and creamy the shrimp just the right texture and the fried green tomatoes added just the right touch! My son had the St.Louis ribs paired with mac-n-cheese along with greens. He described his meal as perfection. My husband was not so pleased with his selection of a lobster po-boy. It was fried a little too hard . He expected something more suculent. All in all the experience was pleasurable and made my birthday special. RCB will be one of my go to places. Oh yeah,the Key Lime pie and chocolate cake were off the chain!!The service was excellent."
