"I was there for a special occasion- which the reservationist asked about and noted, but nothing was ever mentioned by the wait staff. Food was good- not great. For the price, I was expecting much more. The service was good- but again, not great. Front and back waiter did not seem to be communicating very well- they kept askingus the same things. Due to price, will probably not go back b/c you can get much better food for much less. 1 glass of wine each, 2 entrees and dessert = $207... OUCH!!"

"Lots of local hype about this restaurant, however, aside from the very attentive service there was nothing so special to warrant the menu prices. The appetizers were probably the best part of the meal (our table had the octopus salad, the tuna carpaccio and the foie gras). Entrees were neither inventive nor imaginative but all were well-prepared. Desserts were disappointing--sticky rice creme brulee was cold and we could discern no difference between this "rice pudding" creme brulee's texture from any other we've ever had. The view from the terrace overlooking Biscayne Bay was quite lovely. A gorgeous view and attentive service combined with average food doesn't add up to the price our table paid for the meal, unfortunately."

"Food seems to have gone down hill from my prior visits. Veal chop and lamb dry and medicore and veal chop had so much rosemary that is all you could taste. Sea Bass nothing special for the price and over cooked. Appetizers delicious but very expesive and small portions. Long long waits between courses and restaurant not even crowded. Wait staff had to apolgize multiple times even though i never complained. Dont intend to return."

"What to say? It was the best one in Miami in my last visit to the town... and I spent 10 days and went to 10 top rated restaurants. Ok, it's expensive, but you can afford it for special occasions. And the dishes are so beautifully presented that you forget about the skyline in front of you."

"This was a great dining experience. If you can sit outside (or near the window) you will enjoy an amazing view of the city. The food was innovative and delicious but what stood out was the service. It was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and professional- a rarity especially if you are used to dining on Miami Beach. I would definitely go back- worth the price."

"We thought we would get a good meal at Azul; however, their food menu was rather limited. I am always pleased when the restaurant does portion control for me; however, their salad & dessert portions were ridiculously tiny. The chef sent a "complimentary" ONE tablespoonful of a squash soup, that had it been on the menu, I would have ordered it. I ordered the swordfish with minted yogurt; however, the yogurt was but a streak on the plate that you couldn't even place it on silverware in order to be able to taste it. Wait, it gets better: my husband ordered the Moroccan lamb; it had 3 different cuts of lamb. The lamb shank was so spicy, it was inedible. The server informed me the charge would be adjusted: they took a whopping $6.00 off."

"Amazing, amazing food. Unbelievably excellent service!!! Our waiter was outstanding. He knew the menu and the ins & outs of the dishes. Simply great.
I will be going back there next time in Miami. The place is expensive, but you want great service you pay the price.

Throughout the night, all the wait staff provided even before we needed something. Really on the ball."

"Very good but not excellent in all categories. More hype than substance in general. Food was well prepared with good presentation. A touch salty and the sauces hid the flavor at times forcing to clear the palate with water or wine. Deserts are very good, most memorable part of the dinner. Very good wine list with an impressive price tag. Would return but not my first choice"

"The dinner was lovely overall but I was surprised at the waiter. He was both overly friendly and overly obsequious. Told us his name as if we were in a diner, touched the shoulders of my guests and commented too much on the menu and our food selections. His manner was very awkward. Other than that we had a nice meal and the open table reservation system was great."

"I have been here before and I returned becuase of the wonderful experience we had. This time was horrible, 15 minutes to take our beverage order. The manager even came over to apologize, the food was good, not to die for but good. I am not sure if I will return to Azul, sad but true."

"I booked this because of the great reviews on tripadvisor but was disappointed and wished I hadn't made the effort to get all the way out there in a taxi from South Beach. I had aked for a table by the window which we were duly given but it did not have a view and the huge marble window sill made it the coldest place in the restaurant. We were moved to a warmer table but it was a small corridor one, despite there being plenty of better tables available throughout the evening.
The food was a little on the heavy side for a restaurant that offers a dining experience. That was right up until the dessert which offered up a few pathetic little sploges masquerading as mini beignets."

"This restaurante would not survive in any city of Europe the food is just average mine was very salty the atmosphere is flat the service is good but sometimes to intrusive got my bill without asking for it or even being asked if I wanted anything else before they brought me the bill wine list far too expensive and with wrong spelling it's Madeira wine not Madiera (I am actually from Madeira) not acceptable from a restaurante of this pretended stature! people in Miami need to wakeup this restaurante does not deserve the accolades bestoed on it. DISAPOINTING!!!"
