Cafe Sambal - Mandarin Oriental Miami Reviews List
Cafe Sambal - Mandarin Oriental Miami
Café Sambal offers an innovative menu of contemporary Asian cuisine. Guests will experience a myriad of culinary experiences from the Orient with unique flavors and dishes that blossom at Café Sambal. The restaurant is as much a treat for the eye as for the appetite.
Take your seat among the whole seashells, embedded in the terrazzo floors and relax in the sophisticated surroundings that include a decorative pool at the base of the dramatic staircase. Then take a look at the menu and you’ll be delighted by the tempting dishes on offer for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Sushi and Sake Bar features an extensive menu of delectable sushi and an impressive selection of sake, by the carafe or bottle. But if your taste runs to something less potent, you’ll also find an array of distinctive flavors of tea, created especially for the restaurant. They add their fragrance to the air while you mull over your gourmet choices.
"Went to Cafe Sambal while visiting the hotel to see the Spanish National Soccer Team. I quickly forgot about the team once the food arrived. Delicious food and good portions. The wine list was solid. The service was very good. The ambiance was perfect, beautiful skyline, especially at dusk to evening with a nice breeze. Wish it wouldn't have been as expensive, but good food and good service like we had are worth it."

Review 2 for Cafe Sambal - Mandarin Oriental Miami
"Loved this terrace. View of the Miami skyline close up. Terrace is ON the bay. Food is clean, delicious, creative, with an asian-fusion style. Those that love sushi will find a good selection to choose from too. I had artic char, one of my favorite fishes, served in my own requested style rather than the house preparation which sounded delicious but too caloric for my preference. Husband had a wok-prepared steak dish which he said was amazingly delicious. The MARGARITAs were sublime. Delicate and fruity. I'd go here just for the view and the margaritas. Really lovely evening."

Review 5 for Cafe Sambal - Mandarin Oriental Miami
"I was tempted to leave this restaurant upon being seated as I was expecting a different venue. It seemed to be a secondary restaurant at the beautiful Oriental Mandarin in Miami. I certainly was HAPPY that I decided to remain. The service was absolutely the best I had experienced on my recent trip to Miami and the Food was amazing! I have never been so surprised. We stayed for three hours and the staff was happy to let us remain and take our time between courses, which allowed us to really enjoy the fabulous food. I have been telling everyone about this gem."

Review 10 for Cafe Sambal - Mandarin Oriental Miami
"We have been here for dinner several times and have always enjoyed it. However, we went for lunch recently with family and it is as if the place was being run by a completely different crew. It seemed disorganized and not up to par in the quality of the food, service or cocktails."

Review 12 for Cafe Sambal - Mandarin Oriental Miami
"Great place. Service and food were great. My boyfriend had asked for Sangria which was not on the menu, they took it upon themselves to make it for him. They excused themselves a few times for the wait since they had never gotten such a request before. However, once they brought it out, I had a sip and it tasted delicious! I will definitely go again!"

Review 13 for Cafe Sambal - Mandarin Oriental Miami
"I took my son and his girlfriend for Easter Brunch. The staff was very courteous and attentive. We were seated upon arrival on a nice table overlooking Brickell. The food was reasonable for a Sunday Brunch. I personally was expecting more elaborate assortment and choices but whatever was available was (just) ok. The site is not really set up for a brunch buffet but the place was not crowded. The problem occurred when I get my billed and was charged separate for the Mimosas. The price for the Brunch was $85 + tax + 20% gratuity. I (maybe) erroneously assumed that with an $85 Brunch the mimosas will be included (they were last year). I was shocked with the bill but did not make a comment. However, our waiter probably saw my disappoin"
