From its first day, Emeril's Restaurant & the multitalented man who reinvents it with every meal became the focus of ecstatic praise. A decade after Emeril's Restaurant exploded onto the culinary scene, Emeril's has evolved & transformed itself for the 21st century by updating its flagship restaurant. Completed in 2000, the innovative details reflect the significance of the warehouse district location, new New Orleans cuisine & Emeril’s extensive wine list. The Food Bar is framed by a tapestry of glass encased spices showcasing the bold & creative flavors that Chef Emeril features. Emeril's state of the art kitchen is visible from the main dining room. Although walk-ins can be accommodated, reservations are highly recommended. Our dress policy is casual with no sleeveless shirts for men, no hats or flip flops. David Slater, Chef de Cuisine, and Kevin Delaune, General Manager, are dedicated to providing you with that memorable dining experience.

"We enjoyed the dinner at Emeril's. We were promptly seated with only a 5 minute wait. The restaurant was buzzing with lots of people enjoying their meals. Presentation of all plates were very good. We ordered the cajun shrimp and muffleta appetizers. Both were very good. I had the sea scallop special which I enjoyed although it probably wasnt very healthy. :)"

"The food was amazing!!!! Escargot, halibut, handmade pasta!! It was all unbelievable. They have a very extensive wine list. We told our waiter it was our 10 year anniversary dinner and they surprised us with some dessert... The service was the best we've ever had!!!!"

"Our brunch at emeril's was a trip to NOLA highlight! Great space, amazing food, great live music, and awesome service. The only thing I didn't like at it is pretty inconsequential ,is that I could see the tv in the bar area from where we were sitting. Next time I would ask to sit on the other side of the restaurant."

"Sat at the side bar overlooking the kitchen and watched all the orchestrations of a top flight crew prepare an outstanding lunch service. It was like attending a Broadway production. There may be restaurants as good as Emeril's in New Orleans but there are none better!"

"I have been to several of Emerils restaurants and for the most part they are good. This visit was not the best
We were served our food and then we were forgotten- sure the water glasses were refilled but other than that ..no one asked how our meals were or anything-
My associate ordered the swordfish- it was dry and not good.Our romaine salads lacked any sort of taste

"I was in town for a conference, so we had to try emeril's. Overall - kind of loud, too loud to be enjoyable. Food was good but not great - the soup was warm but not hot. Dinner - veal was very tasty but the massive chunk of cauliflower was undercooked. My husband got the pork chop, which was cooked perfectly but we expected more excitement. Of course we had the banana cream pie which was super yummy. Our waiter did not seem to know anything about our wine questions, and did not offer to get the wine steward - he just guessed about what might be good. Not what I would expect of a supposedly gourmet place. Glad we tried it but we won't be back."

"I was in town for a conference with my husband and had to visit Emeril's after enjoying the food so much at the Las Vegas location. Everything was great! I tried the chicken with garlic mac and cheese. It was seasoned nicely and very tender. The wine list is extensive. Our reservation was later in the evening due to the large crowd for a jazz festival in town so a few of the entrees were sold out. Other than that we had a great time. I would definitely come back on my next visit to New Orleans!!!"

"A large and over expensive list of wines that doesn't mach with the disappointing presentation and flavors of the food. It was the worst dining experience of our travel to jazz fest. Continuing with our food culinary exploration of a week in New Orleans and guided by the good rankings of this restaurant We felt down into this option that became frustrating, taking into account the previous fascinating experience in other many restaurants in the city probably less pretentious than this one."

"They were most gracious. The best service and hospitality plus phenomenal food. But more than anything was their over the top service and attention and humility that I recommend 5 + star for this restaurant.

"The ambience is special. The wine list is extensive but expensive. I expected more from the house cabernet for the price. I had the double cut pork chop, which was cooked to perfection at medium well, a recommendation from our waiter. Don't salt of pepper until you taste as the seasoning tends to be on the heavy side anyway. The portions are perfect, and I loved the individual side plates offering three different breads. Excellently trained and pleasant wait staff. Not sure what the excitment is over the banana cream pie, but it's not something i would order again. The chocolate peanut butter pie is the one to rave about!"

"Have avoided Emeril's after some disappointments about 7 years ago. We had a delightful evening with our friends from out of town who really wanted to experience this Emeril's restaurant. The food was really particularly wonderful. Our waiter was efficient but seemed very busy. We had a lovely dinner and am so happy about that! So I guess I am a returned and more than satisfied customer!"

"My son got tricked into $78 dollars of appetizer after he asked the waiter for a sampler platter. Waiter proceeded to bring 4 platters.
What a mistake. Oldest trick in the book, to bring up the tip amount.
Quality of food and service has gone down, use to be my favorite restaurant in New Orleans now it ranks with the don't bother.
There are many other quality restaurants in area that compete better than this.

"This is my third time dining at Emeril's, and every time is as good as or better than the last. This constantly proves to be one of my favorite meals in New Orleans, from the sticky and delicious duck wings, to the better than you could ever expect chopped romaine salad, to the double cut pork chop, topped off with the chocolate souffle. And those were just the best dishes at the table. Quite simply, there wasn't a thing we ordered that wasn't superlative in its own way."

"As a local when friends or family come visit I'm always wanting to impress them with the phenomenal New Orleans food scene. I had heard great things about Emeril's, but have yet to try it. I had friends in town and set out to find a Friday reservation for all of us, many of the places I had originally thought of were booked, good thing, it lead me here! I was a bit nervous at I hadn't dine at Emeril's and was hoping it wouldn't disappoint anyone, but everyone left full and happy! The meals were delicious and the serving sizes were excellent! The wine list or well Wine book was very extensive with plenty of selection, the glass list was a bit shallow but it was filled with great wines. Great experience, will be back!"

"I was very excited to dine at Emeril's flagship restaurant. I had read that the food was innovative and held to a higher standard than his other New Orleans locations.
The food was less than wonderful, although good, but a bit pricey for what we were served....almost $200 with tip, without dessert and coffee.
The service was excellent! And- I have bragging rights, can say I dined at Emeril's!"

"A boisterous group in the private dining area adjacent to our table added an undesirable nose level to our evening. The drumfish entrée was superb - buttery, light and flaky. The salmon did not have the delicate salmon flavor that I prefer, but was of the more pungent variety. Your inclination may differ. The "signature" Grand Marnier Chocolate Souflé which required a special order at the beginning of the meal was not as light as better soufflés that we've had, and we could not detect even a hint of the Grand Marnier flavor that inspired us to order the dish in the first place. The wait-staff was very attentive and accommodating, but a little too much of their attention was drawn by servicing the aforementioned boisterous group."

"The calamari was great. I had the shrimp with pasta which was wonderful and my husband had the signature drum which he really loved. We ended with the chocolate bread pudding, delicious! The wait staff was friendly, helpful and available. All in all a great dining experience."

"Emerils did not fail as we have tried 4 times to eat here we had great expectations. The service was superb with a beverage waiter, head waiter, food waiter and of course the chef! The food was flavorful and melted in your mouth. The portion sizes were spot on. I was overall very pleased! A fantastic way to end our fantastic trip to New Orleans."

"My husband is a huge Emeril fan. When we visited New Orleans, we had lunch at the original Emeril's, and enjoyed the whole experience. From the boudin and andouille sausage appetizer, to the key lime pie, everything was the best . I enjoyed the roasted cauliflower bisque, and shrimp "Louis" salad, while my husband had the gumbo of the day and a delicious mahi mahi over slaw and fried green tomatoes, a special. Our table faced the kitchen and we loved seeing the details of the food prep. Next time, I would sit at the kitchen window counter for an even better view."

"Where do I even start, there was nothing at Emerils that I didn't enjoy every second of. The restaurant is very visually appealing and the staff is beyond helpful, knowledgeable, and very friendly, they had that southern hospitality that I just love. We had the gumbo of the day which was outstanding along with Emeril's salad which was excellent. I had the andouille encrusted drum. Absolutely great. The rest of my party had the pork chops, the salmon, and the fish of the day and all were raved about. My favorite part of corse was the banana cream pie. I wish with all my heart I could get that shipped to my house in AZ. It was out of this world. A must have! Loved our experience at Emeril's, we go back everytime we visit New Orleans"

"Johnathan and the rest of the staff were marvelous! The crawfish angel pasta was AMAZING! Gumbo was awesome. Mac n cheese was great. Veal was tender. Chicken could have been more flavorful. Brussel sprouts were AMAZING as was the banana pie--especially loved the burnt caramel sauce!"

"We made reservations about 20 minutes before we arrived at Emeril's. When we walked in we were greeted quickly and after giving our last name, immediately greeted us by first name, which made us feel very welcome. We arrived about 15 minutes prior to our reservation time, however, we were seated immediately. Our server (Will) greeted us promptly and graciously. Our severs (three of them) were wonderful and anticipated what we wanted and needed before we asked. I would certainly recommend Emeril's to everyone. We will definitely be returning."

"The service was expedient but very stuffy.They need to create warmer, friendlier table service.The days of haughty service are long gone and most diners do not enjoy that old style of service.I was expecting a wonderful meal but my entree pasta with shrimp was so very greasy and lacking in any distinct flavour. I could not recommend this restaurant,perhaps it was an off night."
