"I work in Canada Place. Even though the menu is pricey, I enjoy lunching here with colleagues. The cobb salad, treasures of the sea and bento box are excellent. Life is short and lunch therapy is always welcome! If you don't treat yourself well, who will?"

Review 2 for Cafe Pacifica - Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver
"We found the food very bland, we had the sea treasure fish & chips and the fish was tasteless and we were even wondering if it was really fish that was in the tempura batter as well as the prawns. Service was not that good but it looked like the restaurant was short staffed as management were clearing the tables. We would not waste our time to come back to this place as there are so many good restaurants in Vancouver with better value as well."

"dinner with a live opera performance is definitely something you can't find anywhere else! The Italian buffet was great and staff was really polite. Loved the live singing. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver."

Review 4 for Cafe Pacifica - Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver
"I took my daughter and son in law for Sunday brunch on my daughter's birthday. There was a wide selection of buffet food, and the food was top notch. The service people were easily accessible and helpful, yet unobtrusive. This is a large restaurant, so tables are not at all too close to each other. Very nice ambience, bright with sunshine and subtle piano playing in the background. Too expensive for me on a regular basis, but nice for a special occasion. The only problem was that the signage in the hotel parkade was so poor we ended up having to walk quite a distance from car to restaurant. That's a warning for those who have mobility problems, as I do. Also, once in the hotel lobby, no signage to direct us to the restaurant."

Review 5 for Cafe Pacifica - Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver
"I have been to many Mother's Day brunches in the lower mainland and Cafe Pacifica is the only place that could handle the number of people, maintain the food quality, the presentation (beautiful display of food), and service on this day when almost everyone goes out to treat their moms. I used to dread going out to a restaurant on Mother's Day because from my experience, every restaurant that I went to would be overwhelmed by the crowd and the service would be just horrible. But what a nice surprise this year at Cafe Pacifica. It was relaxing even with so many people, the view was great, even the live performance was decent! Love it!"

"we went saturday night and didn't care for opera buffet so we were seated by lounge bar. great seats as they were comfortable and best view of burrard inlet n north shore. however, very disappointed by service. no one greeted us or seated us, when we inquire she just said where ever. no menu or glass of water after we seated 10min. if we weren't waiting our friends at the table, we would walked away. food took longer, bill took forever,,,,. maybe needed more staff?"

Review 8 for Cafe Pacifica - Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver
"Food tasted very good, but it just took too long to line up for the hot food section. if they can locate the pasta bar more away from the hot dishes buffet, then people can choose to line up for different stuff since some people may want to get more food from buffet only.
Also, the parking slip has also created some problem. We arrived the parking lot at 6:05 but the time printed on the ticket was 5:32. When we tried to pay by the self check out machine, they charged us $12.75 ($9 for the flat rate after 6:00pm and $3.75 for the half hour before 6:00). The issue was settled by the attendant and we paid $9, but it happened to a few other visitors and they have already paid at the self check-out that the attendant can't do anythi"

Review 12 for Cafe Pacifica - Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver
"Had a voucher for breakfast buffet included in our hotel stay. The selection was basic but food tasted fine and hot foods were fresh/hot. The service was just fair. Our server wasn't very attentive. We had to wave him over to get ketchup (restaurant wasn't busy) and then he brought my friend one that had a long piece of lint in it. When we showed him, he actually used her fork (the one she was eating with) to probe through the ketchup to find the lint. He literally pushed the ketchup OVER the piece of lint rather than trying to find it??? Kind of strange we thought. Anyways, he brought her fresh ketchup (he said he poured it himself) and took her plate away so she had to go back to the buffet to get new food."

Review 13 for Cafe Pacifica - Pan Pacific Hotel Vancouver
"My girlfriend and I went here for dineout Vancouver 2013. The food was very good but the service could've been better. Maybe the server was busy as this was a Saturday night. They also had opera night which was a surprise when we arrived. Interesting to say the least...but not a bad thing. I think because of the opera it was a little noisier than expected...but we were still able to hear each other talk. They seated us by the window which had a nice view but slightly obstructed. Nevertheless, the experience was fun and I'd definitely come back to try out their buffet."
