Trattoria Branica in Le Chateau Village, located right across from Plaza Frontenac just west of Lindbergh on Clayton Rd.
Branica has 4 different dining areas with all of them having its own unique art work and ambiance. Courtyard with a skylight, gives diners an opportunity to have outdoor dining feeling a year around. Fire Place D.Room is a popular spot in cold winter nights. D.Room with the French Doors is overlooking the courtyard and Le Chateau shopping has a lovely view. There is also a Mirror Room with exotic birds mural with the 2 other walls being completely mirrored gives the room spacious feel.

"Our dinner was good, but not spectacular. Our meat was a little tough. It's a nice place to go, close to home, for a good dinner. Nothing really special. It is quiet so conversation is easy. The waiter was pleasant. The hostess at the front desk isn't particularly warm in her greeting, which is a little bothersome."

"We had a family dinner to celebrate several birthdays. They seated us in a small private dining room and we had a waitress that immediately took our drink orders. Ordering off the menu, there was something for everyone to chose from. The service was attentive and prompt with regular attention to refilling water glasses and roll baskets. The food was excellent. Everyone went home happy."

"I went with a coworker on a business trip. It wass a Monday night, so pretty slow and quiet. They had a lot of options on the menu, and I liked that many if the dishes had veggies. The patio area was really nice too."

"My wife and I regularly dine at this restaurant. Typically I would rate it as excellent but lately the quality of the food has not been as good as it has been in the past. In addition, small things such as the bar running out of tonic water and miscues regarding the food prep are starting to become a little more commonplace. We will be paying very close attention at our next meal there."

"The worst service ever. We waited 20 minutes after being seated before the waitress came and took a drink order. Then we ordered - limited menu because of Valentines Day - and waited 50 minutes more before the appetizer showed up. When we asked the waitress what was going on, she said they were short staffed...ON VALENTINES DAY? Poor planning??
Then when we asked for the owner/manager she stopped by and told us the sirvice was slow for us becaure they had a lot more "Regulars" that they had expected....so I guess the regulars moved ahead of us...over and over again. After we talked to the manager, the food showed up right away. Good food, but we will never go back and we will share this story with everyone we know in West County."

"This was the old Le Auberge Britone location that holds a special place for us as that is where I proposed to my wife 26 years ago. The place looks the same, Great. We ate there about 6 months ago and the food and service were fine. This Valentines evening dinner was a disaster. The room was extremely hot. Service was extremely slow, and servers were bringing food to wrong tables etc. My strip steak was so salty that I complained, which I just never do but I was so shocked at the poor level of service etc that I felt it was appropriate this time. Not even offered coat check upon arrival, we had to go back and ask after being shown our table. No attendant when leaving, had to get our coats ourselves. My wifes filet and our apps were good."

"This visit was for the Valentine's Day with my wife. The service was slow because of the occasion. It was very busy. What created the lower scores is that the management did not honor the reservation system so people were sited, along with us, in the courtyard area. This area did not allow the attention of the servers to be apparent. The party next to us started to make a scene because the food was so late. Afterwards, the courtyard did receive the attention but the meal did not merit the cost for the night.
This was our first visit. It may be a restaurant that excels on normal business setting but I would sit inside a regular dining room."

"I contacted the restaurant during our visit for Valentines day my wife and I spent $100.00 dollars for our meal. For this cost we would expect a lot more then what we received. The servers during our visit cursed and talked bad about customers after they left. It was almost 30min before receiving our glass of water and another 15min before they took our order. When I asked for a recommendation for our waitress she told me " don't get this its discussing" not what you want to hear about the $100.00 meal you are about to order. The portions sizes were also awful for the mashed potatoes I received I got about a table spoon full that it. But really got to me was using "GOD'S" name as a curse word several times throughout the night."

"We all four had the veal chop which is hidden under the steaks section and not under the veal section. It was excellent. We were seated in front of the fireplace and Luigi was a perfectly attentive waiter. We enjoyed talking to him about Sicily which some of us shared with him as a homeland. A fun evening."

"Experienced a terrific meal. We had the filet and a shrimp/scallop pasta dish. Both were large portions, yummy, and beautifully presented. Only remark about the evening was that we used a Groupon and our waiter rang our bill incorrectly. We brought it to his attention and he adjusted our bill, but our bank shows that the original incorrect charge went through anyway. Will now have to follow up with Trattoria Branica to make sure we are credited properly. Otherwise, a wonderful dining experience!"

"Hostess was rude! The busboy was at our table instantly with bread/water. He pleasantly advised that our waiter would be with us shortly and that he would take great care of us, he never arrived. After 15+ minutes my wife and I left Trattoria Branica never to return."
