The Melange Cafe offers the best in Louisiana and Italian Cuisine. Visit us and try our flavorful New Orleans-inspired dishes with unique Italian items thrown in for good measure. We do not serve alcohol, so, please, bring your own bottle to fully enjoy your food selection. The staff is skillful, the decor is classic and very pleasant and the atmosphere is smoke-free. Dress code is dressy-casual.

"Melange Cafe met my expectations; the food was prepared well and seasoned nicely. I ordered my Jambalaya 'spicy,' which was done well, and was not overpowering. We ate here during the end of a very busy night, so I was upset but not totally suprised when the waitress informed us that duck was no longer available (after ordering), as well as one of the desserts.

The food arrived in a timely manner and the service was very good, though a bit inattentive; some of the gaps in service were a bit longer than we would have preferred.

Overall, the restaurant is a bit pricy, but the quality of the food and service seem to make it a decent compromise. On a slower night, I'm certain the experience would have been perfect."

"My husband and I went to Melange Cafe for Valentine's Day after it was recommended to us by a co-worker. We found it to be great place to go for couples or that romantic date away. The atmosphere was intimate without being overbearing. I thought the food was a tad bit pricey and not enough to fill you up but the quality of the food was exceptional. Having your meal made to order was perfect and gave us the opportunity to truly enjoy what was set before us. I would definitely return for other special occasions in my life and recommend this place to others especially as a first date or romantic venue."

"Overall our dining experience was good. It had been our first time to the restaurant so we didn't know what to expect. The restaurant is quite small but nice. We walked in and there were only three other groups of people dining. As dinner went on it got busier. As for the food my meal, the atlantic salmon, was delicious and my husbands was very good as well. The food was fresh and plated very nicely. A little pricy for what we had and the ambiance. We may go back in the future."

"As usual, the food was fantastic. The blend of spices for either Cajun or Italian food is just right. The appetizers are special, and the fact that it is a BYOB just adds to a great night out. No one attempts to hurry you along."

"I love the ambiance of Melange Cafe - small and comfortable. I definitely would return to try more dishes in their new menu. The Louisiana Barbecued Shrimp with Cheese Biscuits was delicious and the Crabmeat Cheesecake with Pecan Crust is still one of my favorite appetizers. The Jambalaya was great as usual and so was the Duck Gumbo. Service was well-timed and friendly. Fantastic dinner."

"Our experience was excellent. All of the dishes are cooked to order, so the food is fresh and the textures wonderful. The chef is also able (and willing) to make menu adjustments to suit food allergies or preferences. Chef does an outstanding job of blending traditional ethnic cuisine and modern ingredients. The servers are helpful and not intrusive. The style of cooking is unique, and definitley worthy of your time and dollars."

"This is my fourth visit to Melange Cafe, it's quite possibly one of the finest places to eat in all of Cherry Hill, the food is outstanding and individually prepared. However at our last visit, the service was incredibly poor.... the waitress wasn't very friendly, unattentive and generally wasted a lot of our time."

"This restaurant is right down the street from a friend of mine who I was visiting. My wife had the jambalaya, which was excellent. I ordered a special strip steak, which I found to be a little too salty. Otherwise, everything about this restaurant is fantastic. The staff are friendly and attentive. Also, they give you a free appetizer, roasted peppers with parmesan cheese, which was delicious especially with the bread they give you. We would definitely go back and try some of the other entrees."

"My husband and I went to Melange Cafe, based on several referrals, for our 32nd wedding anniversary. I must say, we thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. The wait staff, although short-handed that particular evening, were wonderful and accommodating. The ambiance was very nice and all but two tables were filled with other diners. You could hear yourself talk, even with the nice background music. The food was remarkable. Compliments to the chef. We will return and tell others about it!! We didn't know in advance, that it's a BYOB, but that did not detract from the experience!!"

"I love this resturant! The staff are always professional, prompt and pleasant. The food is hot, delicious and there is a nice variety. In fact, my husband wanted to one of the appetizers as a meal, and they made that up for him without any problems. They also do not rush you! It is a calm and quiet atmosphere. We recently relocated 90 minutes away from the resturant and still made the trip to enojy a meal that is never a disappointment!
My personal fave is the shrimp and cheese grits!"

"Shared the baby crabcake appetizer which was outstanding with the remoulade. Soup trio (three small portions of their offerings) was also good with the "soup of the moment", andouille and bean, clearly excellent. Wife had the rack of lamb, which she swooned over, and I had the jambalaya which was one of the best I've had.
All-in-all, we were very pleased with our experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Melange to our friends."

"Melange Cafe is a gem. My fiance and I booked a 4pm reservation for my birthday. Not only was the food absolutely amazing, but the service was top notch. We ended up having the entire restaurant to ourselves. We were even given a complimentary appetizer and mango sorbet dessert (with a candle). We are definitely coming back as soon as we get the opportunity. My fiance wants to bring our whole family next time."

"Another great visit to Melange! Staff is very knowledgeable, service is excellent and attentive. The appetizers really stand out, are well crafted and complex yet balanced. In particular we enjoyed the smoked shrimp, which was formerly on the appetizer sampler (no longer on the regular menu) but was offered as a special. I ventured from my standards to try the BBQ salmon, which was a real treat. The creamy sauce and tender salmon melted on my tongue, but was well complimented by the crunch of crispy onion and tang of peppers.

The noise level is very low, but there were very few diners. Where is everyone, at Melange @ Haddonfield? Surprised to find both locations share a menu, yet are only a few miles apart.

Worth a look, great BYOB"
