deSha's American Tavern is a favorite destination for a night on the town, casual lunch, or meal with the family. Memorable food in an upscale casual setting is what deSha's does best! The restaurant is known for its hearty, savory entrees, inventive side dishes and extensive offering of fine beverages. deSha's offers a warm tavern setting with a large fireplace and many tables with a lakeside view. The charming character and upscale but affordable menu offerings make deSha's a great destination for any occasion!
"reservation was ready before the appointed time; great since we got there a little early. Excellent seating choice. Right-on-time service: friendly, knowledgeable, patient. Food: most dishes were excellent- one steak not cooked as ordered (guest still enjoyed it) but management quickly acknowledged and took off bill (we did not ask for this). handled very well! Overall, great experience!"

"Met several friends for dinner on Sunday. DeShas has a varied menu and enoguh good choices to make a selection from. Our server was excellent and took good care of our needs. The only downside was that they placed us next to a large group of poeple and the noise level was high. I am hard of hearing and the back ground noise contribute to my not hearing adequately in these situations,"

"The loud music from bar ruined the dining experience in the nice dining room. This used to be a nice room with good ambiance. Would not go back on a night a band was playing. In a dining room, nice background music is needed - not something you have to shout over to hold a conversation.
I like the more casual menu they have in the dining room now, as it makes it more of a more casual neighborhood place to drop in more frequently."

"Food was excellent. Fried green tomatoes with goat cheese were perfectly cooked. My Cajun tilapia was delicious and one member of our party had one of the largest fish sandwiches I have seen. Consistently a good choice!"

"We asked for and got seated in a booth. We were tucked away which was perfect after a long week. Server was friendly but a slow start. Bar must have been slammed cause drinks took a very long time to arrive."

"We have been coming there for a number of years, and when we were there Sunday we were very disappointed, the menu. Was not really as varied and good as it has been in the past. I had promised my 19 year old grandson that he could get wings and a strip steak, well there was neither, my burger was good, my daughters hot brown was very disappointing. It is the first time we were really unhappy. The fish was still good when we were there on a Lenten Friday. We will not be as eager to return."
