"The potato on my dish was incredibly over salted and really uncharacteristic of a restaurant with these prices and reputation. I don't cook much anymore but there is no way I would feed something that salty to anyone.

Main course was good, but not excellent. Service was friendly without intruding, the waitstaff read the table very well. The sommelier was enthusiastic but didn't pick up on my concern of an acidic wine. To be fair, I wasn't explicit about my concern. The $60 bottle of wine was ok too acidic and not really what I hoped when compared to his description.

They gave me a $20 gift certificate, they were giving them to everyone that night. Chances are I won't go back. I spent less at Craggie on Main and it was much bett"

"Service was a little slow and the waiter dripped some of my soup on the table which I had to look at for the rest of the meal, feeling guilty about being messy even though it wasn't even me, but the aura was nice - dark and personal. The food came in somewhat small servings, but was very tasty. Though lacking in originality, quality was high - the lentils that came with my salmon could have been spiced up a little bit and presented better, but the complimentary amuse-bouche that came before dinner and free meringue, biscotti, and gelee at the end were nice touches to have."

"Our experience at Radius was positive. The staff is very friendly and service was excellent. My meal was just OK. I ordered the slow cooked Rib Eye which Radius was known for. The meat was very tough, chewy and the portions were small. I get much better cuts from my local butcher. The staff did provide my date with a signed birthday card and put a candle in my desert(yes not hers but mine).

The the price of the evening the meal was way over priced."

"Radius just never disappoints. It's pricey, so we don't dine there more than once or twice a year, but the quality of the food and the dining experience has remained consistently excellent since the year Radius opened. Service is attentive and professional, and the cuisine is creative enough to keep you interested without becoming wacky. We dined early, at 6, and the bar was hopping as people got out of work. The noise level decreased substantially over the course of our dinner, as the bar emptied out and the restaurant was left to the diners."

"The meal beginning with cocktails in the bar and moving through coffee and dessert was above reproach. There was no rush--in a good way--and service was attentive without being over our shoulders. We enjoyed several appetizers and entrees and no one in our party of four was disappointed. In particular, two of us had the duck ravioli with foie gras foam as an appetizer and agreed that we could have made a meal of that item alone. Well Done!"

"Surprised to find it fairly empty on a recent Friday night. The Med. Sea Bass was perfect. The Berkshire Pork a bit too plain. The handmade gnocchi was very good. The cheese from Fromaggio's kitchen was awesome. And the service was outstanding."

"Great experience. I was recently in Boston for work and wanted to have a rich, memorable dinner; I wasn’t disappointed. I was spoiled by the kitchen with a “taste” of 3 different dishes in addition to my order; I believe this was a result of being a solo diner. Everything I ordered was exceptional, especially the 5 vegetables entree; the chef had a wide variety of tastes and exotic vegetables. The Sommelier paired wines for my selected dishes and I appreciated the variety; the wines complimented beautifully. I hope I have the opportunity to enjoy the cuisine and staff again. Highly recommended."

"Dined on a quiet Monday evening (first time at Radius). Of the other 2-3 occupied tables, the couple sitting next to us was constantly shouting into their cell phones. The staff happily moved us, but did not say anything to the other disruptive diners (a restaurant with Radius' aspirations should not have any such nonsense in their dining room). Food was all excellent with small portions. Given the prices and reputation, the meal was far short of spectacular (which it should be at Radius). A nice dining experience, but we did better at 2 other nearby spots (for less money) during our 4-day stay in Boston. [Maybe we had the B-team on for the holiday.]"

"Valentine's Day Tasting Menu was very good. I can't speak to the remainder of their cuisine. The staff was incredibly helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, and timely. My date and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was very pricey, but "you get what you pay for" is an adage for a reason."

"I have had the 7 course tasting dinner (with wines, of course) several times and it is a wonderful, romantic experience. You may wonder whether a restaurant that operates at such a high level for dinner can do lunch. Let me tell you that it can. Their burger is the best in the city (trust me on this) and they serve fries that actually have taste. If you are downtown and want to impress a client with a wonderful lunch, this is the place.

The food is great, the care of the diner beyond impeccable. Radius will exceed your expectations.

I am a very demanding and ornery character, "good enough" never is. Nobody gets a good review from me easily."

"Went to Raduis for their 5 course Valentines Day Dinner. Although it was very expensive, the food was excellent. The only bad thing I could say is that the gnocchi was a little bland. Other that that, the Ahi tuna was a perfect starter. The scallops were fresh, sweet and prepared well. The roasted ribeye was tender, flavoful and cooked a perfect rare. The mushrooms that came with it, were the best mushrooms I have ever had. And to finish it off the dessert was great.

Their service was top notch as they never made you rush or keep you waiting for long. The wine that was picked out was delicious.

Very good spot if you have the money for it."

"Went for an anniversary and they made it SPECIAL... went out of there way to acknowledge the anniversary very tastefully (complimentary sparkling wine, note on dessert plate, etc). Food is outstanding and each course was fantastic. They combine very interesting flavors together and the waitstaff was able to recommend perfect wine combination for food. "It had been quite a few years since I returned to Radius.
My Husband has always loved it my experience was not so good.
WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE!!!! The meal was fabulous and the wine pairings were perfect, but most of all the service was beyond outstanding!!!! Thank to the whole Raduis staff for a wonderful Valentine dinner. I know we will be back soon!"

"This has been my favorite restaurant, but there was a large private party on Saturday night and I think that impacted the service and quality of the food for the rest of us. "Why have I been away so long. The food was outstanding, every course was delicious and perfectly prepared. Oustanding if overpriced wine list.

It is an odd room, I have never gotten the sense of energy in the room, it often feels like the room is empty but people are there.

The donuts for dessert are one of those dishes that you will always think of. I have been trying to coem up with a reason to go back, just for the donuts."

"We've been here for our anniversary dinner three times. Service is beyond compare. I've never once told anyone there it was our anniversary, but have only sent flowers to the restaurant for our table. Each time we receive a complimentary glass of champagne and various other little treats sent from the chef. This year we received a card signed by all the staff. Fabulous staff, excellent food, and a great night!"

"I used OpenTable to make a reservation at Radius and included in the nates field that my wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. In addition to delicious food and impeccable service, the staff at Radius showered us with regal attention. "Expected better for the price paid. We did the wine pairing on New Year's Eve and were quite disappointed with the selected wines. Most disappointing were the Reds, the Chianti and the Bordeaux. Also, please lose the tasting glasses and serve the wine in the correct glass. We added the foie gras course and again were disappointed. It was much too large. For how delicate that dish is, there is no need to serve a hamburger patty size of it in the middle of the meal. Shrink the dish, don't charge extra, and include it in the pairing. Neither my husband or I enjoyed the hiramasa course - the fish was fresh, but again the flavors chosen were not playing nicely in our opinion. Impeccable service. Excellent dessert."

"Our earlier visits were more enjoyable. Instead of appearing knowledgeable and helpful as were his colleagues in the past, our waiter seemed distant and aloof, at every prompt reciting propaganda designed for tourists from the hinterland, or offering patronizing rationalizations for our selections rather than outlining options. "I've been to Radius numerous times in the past and was truly disappointed this time (with the exception of the bread). I found the food was ok, but overpriced for the quality and it took almost 40 mins for our entrees to arrive after the 1st course. I also found that the lemonnade, which is usually a must-have and delicious, but found that it was overly sweet and was a real disappointment as well. I'm sad to say that it will be highly unlikely that I will return to this restaurant in the near future."

"Fantastic experience - very personal and attentative service. We went there to celebrate our anniversary. "I don't know if its me or the place, but everytime I go there (since its the only "ranked" place by the office) they seem to somehow dissapoint, maybe expectations are too high... their famous burger, which I usually love, was this time very well done instead of med-rare as I ordered it... that could be expected if I order a burger from the pub in the corner but not from this place... at least the sweetbreads were good."

"Pros: Great service (friendly, helpful waiter), like the "we'll pick out the wine for you for $20" option -- I don't know much about wines, and selected two glass that I really enjoyed. Prix Fixe meal was great for all the food you receive. Food was very good, but...

Cons: Both us enjoyed our non-entree's more than the entree. Appetizers, soups, deserts were great. Entree (both got fish) were good, but nothing to write home about. For parties of two, the tables are extremely close, and side by side. Very difficult to have any kind of private conversation -- you can easily hear everything your neighbors are talking about. Think the help staff (eg., folks pouring water)told not to speak to customers -- don't like having "servants"."

"The foie gras was fabulous, the entrees (halibut and pork) cooked to perfection, and the goat cheesecake with huckleberry sauce was amazing. Service was helpful and attentive but not hovering. "My meal was spectacular, worth it of a top chef like Michael Schlow. THe amuse bouche was actually flat in flavor, but from then on the meal was fantastic. I ordered the crunchy sweetbreads and they were wonderful, with a crust full of flavors. Then I asked my server, who btw was amazingly knowledgable and nice, to ask the chef to give me something that would surpris me. THey totally did! I got the lamb loin. The dish was well balanced. The lamb wa perfectly cooked and had a delicious crust with thyme and rosemary. The rest of the dish was unbelievable, with raising balancing a fountain of vegetable flavors. For dessert I shared te traditional Boston donouts and they were perfect."
