Review 2 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 2.0 out of 5 (Fair)
"Let me cut to the chase, our meal including several cocktails, glasses of wine came to $116.00. My meal was delicious. As for my wife’s meal…We now enter the twilight zone.

She ordered the Caesar salad that came plated undressed. She had to ask for dressing to be brought to the table. Her entrée was the “Salmon & Asparagus with creamy butter sauce ~ Linguine”. What we envisioned, was an ample slice of grilled Salmon garnished with baby Asparagus, over a birds nest of Al dente pasta is a light buttery sauce.

What was served was an inedible gelatinous mass of “almost” Alfredo sauce interspersed with fish chunks-cubed, mired in and among what was obviously NOT Linguine. But rather a “Spaghettini or very thin Spaghetti” (See attached pic

Review 7 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 2.0 out of 5 (Fair)
"We wanted reservations for 7:00 but only time slots we could secure were 6:00 and 7:45. We arrived early and it was clear that there would have been tables available at the requested 7:00 PM slot. I can only assume that this establishment reserves tables at the popular dining times for walk ins. Food was good but not outstanding. Portions were the right size. Service was good except for the glass of wine that I ordered with dinner that never arrived. It did not appear on the bill so I guess our server spaced it out. We probably won't return. There are better places to go for the prices charged."

Review 8 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 5.0 out of 5 (Outstanding)
"We decided to try this restaurant after finding it on the 5280 Restaurant Week website. This restaurant is in our neighborhood, however we never thought twice about trying it. Our experience there was great. We had incredible service. Our waiter, Sam, was very well informed about all aspects of the menu and made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. We will definitely add this to our list of favorite places!"

Review 9 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"The food had good flavor but was pretty rich. I had the sweet potato Gnocchi and the flavor was good but it was drenched in butter which made it too rich. Our waiter was good. For a new restaurant I was surprised at the deterioration (chipped paint on the walls etc.). Really the food was good and this restaurant could be great with some attention to the details. I don't think I will run back soon, but I wouldn't avoid it either I would just as them to go easy on the butter."

Review 12 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 1.0 out of 5 (Poor)
"I had ordered the fried chicken, while my date had ordered a dish that was called salmon and asparagus on the menu. The chicken was very tasty, but the portion size was very small. The "salmon and asparagus" was actually a pasta dish with overcooked chuncks of fish and some asparagus. I brought this to the attention of the server and he said that he didnt write the menu. The dessert that we chose was Crème Brûlée. The plate that they briought out was bread pudding with some creme poured over the top. I once again brought this to the attention of the server and he said that it was their version of Crème Brûlée. I attempted top contact a manager on the day following my visit, but was told no one was available. I would not reccomend this place"

Review 13 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"I have been here twice now. The food is overall very good. The ambiance is nice for where it is at, noise levels are controlled to where dining is enjoyable. The major complaint I have had on both visits is the service is spotty. The waitstaff is pleasant and friendly, but consistently seem to forget the little things like bread, plates for appetizers, creamer for coffee, etc. I think they need to calm down a little and keep in mind that the little details count toward the overall dining experience as well."

Review 19 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"This was our first visit to Mosaic, and we were definitely impressed. The Lobster Mac & Cheese was to die for! The wine list was respectable for a restaurant this size and contained some very unique wines. Our server was fairly attentive and the ambience was very romantic. They even gave us a complimentary rose for Valentine's Day. My only complaint about the restaurant was the temperature. There was a very cold draft that everyone in our section was complaining about. I would definitely return to this restaurant in the future though!"

Review 21 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 2.0 out of 5 (Fair)
"The whole experience was kind of let down. We went because we were told it had good food at a half-way reasonable price.
- The food was ok, but I could have made it at home. The warm flat bread served with the dip was very good.
- The prices were slightly high especially for the salads,(cobb and ceasar 13 - 15)for that price we should have got huge salads instead they were closer to the add on dinner salads.
- Service was friendly easy going, but since there were very few costumers I expected more attentiveness. As it was we had to ask another waiter for our ticket so we could leave.
- All in all, me and my companions don't intend to return. Just not worth it.

Review 22 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"The appetizer and salad was just okay; however, the main course--Ravioli with asparagus sauce was incredible. My husband had the salmon which was not impressive at all. The mood was nice, a little romantic. The service was lousy. The waitress hardly checked on us, and it took literally 1/2 hour to get the check and pay at the end. I don't know that I'd go back again. Maybe Ravioli for take-out."

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"I thought the food was good, and the portion size was nice. It had some interesting items like teriaki, tempura butter with pita/flat bread and shrimp and cheese grits which were very good. I think if you don't eat out often this place is different and a neat place to try. If you eat out often at nice places, it is a fun place to try, but it is not spectacular."

Review 28 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 2.0 out of 5 (Fair)
"The ecclectic menu includes many items I was not interested in trying, so choosing a meal was not easy. I liked that the menu had wine recommendations for each meal. I had the salmon and asparagas linguine which had a bland cream sauce. The suggested wine (chardonnay $9/gls) was okay, as was the apple cobbler & ice cream desert, however, the overall quality did not match the price. Service was good, but I wouldn't recommend it and probably would not return."

Review 30 for Mosaic

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"You will be hard pressed to convince folks that Mosaic is a place they will want to return to - hard lighting, on the verge of uncomfortable, along with inappropriate table to bench hight pairing, and tinny acoustics, it is very hard to get comfortable in what toutes itself as a 'Native' resteurant. The service is good; you have to give the staff credit for making your stay their as comfortable as they can make it - Its just a shame that you have to pay a 'coastal cost' for a over and under spiced food. I had the salmon fettaccine (I should have known better then to order fish with cheese - you couldn't taste either) and my wife had the sea bass? (over-spiced). You have to be way too 'At the Beach' to enjoy this place."

"We went there and there was no-one there for a Saturday night. Being that there was noone there, it was odd that we had to wait for a long time for a drink refill and one of the men in our group actually went up to the bar to get another cocktail.
