We serve genuine traditional Italian recipes with our Chef's personal touch, in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Our Chef bases his creations on his 25 years experience in the restaurant business.
Our philosophy is to serve free range and naturally raised farm products whenever possible, and we try to support local farmers as much as we can.
Our menu is paired with an Italian based wine list with international accents, including wines from USA, Spain, Australia, Argentina and others.

"Only table for 4 on a Friday night available so we thought we would give it a try. Terrific room, and very well executed menu and price point. Service was slow even for a full room ( I don't know how we got the reservation). Professional bar that can make a martini as ordered. I agree with one reviewer said they were glad the east of Colorado Blvd crowd didn't know About this place but I will spread the word."

"Tonight we had to wait forever for our wait person, though she was most pleasant. She removed the wine list before we could choose another glass. We had to wait forever for our meals and when they came, mine was wrong (and it was only a salad which I had asked for without the dressing), and then I had to wait hungrily while my companions already had their food and were nearly finished when mine finally came out. They did, however, comp the salad. Otherwise, the usual good food. Very busy for a Tuesday night. Maybe it's the 25% off wine on Tuesdays? Would like more vegan offerings, too, or availability of vegan modifications. Should be possible with pastas. How about a cheeseless or tofu based spinach lasagna?"

"Our evening was very enjoyable. True to Italian tradition, we weren't rushed and were able to have a nice conversation with friends. 3 in our party had the veal special which was most delicious. 1 had the ricotta gnocchi which were light and very tasty. The tiramisu and panna cotta were very good desserts. The Frangelatto was too much Frangelico and whipping cream and barely a tablespoon of gelato."

"One thing I love most about Locanda Del Borgo is that that friends who live west of Colorado Blvd. haven't even heard of it. The food is just wonderful - lots of variety, so tasty, and great specials. I had the halibut special the other night and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We always start with one of the vegetable sides as an appetizer and the roasted brussel sprouts (not on the menu) are a favorite. Lunch and dinner are a treat at Locanda!"

"On an icy, wintry evening (in what was supposed to be spring), Locanda del Borgo was the perfect spot to warm up with a great-tasting bottle of reasonable wine, eat delicious gourmet Italian food, and celebrate a friend's birthday. "I've eaten at Locanda del Borgo three times, but I have only ever had the Fettuccine with House Sausage and Three Mushrooms. I love it so much that I cannot bring myself to order something else. However, my friends have ordered other items on their menu and have all had positive experiences, so I'm guessing the food is good all around. They also have excellent desserts for the most part. The one BIG disappointment is the panna cotta. STAY AWAY if you are a fan of this particular dessert. I and several friends tried it, and none of us liked it--not even a little bit. The consistency is more like jello than custard, and it is completely devoid of flavor. Stick to the tiramisu or gelato, which are both very good."

"The food was great, service was not. I mentioned in the spec. req. section of the reservation that we would be celebrating my b-day at dinner. It was not recognized nor commented upon. The tables are tiny, yet no one offered to take our coats. Both of the seafood dishes had the same sauce which did not sound appetizing. I asked twice if I could get another sauce and was told "no" with no offer to work with my request. The same held true when I asked if I could chose my salad dressing. Service was slow. When we asked if we could use our gift cert. to pay the tip as well we were told "probably". Then the answer changed and we were forced to pay a cash tip. I emailed this to the rest. and haven't heard a word back."

"We have eaten here many times and always enjoy the cozy atmosphere and great staff. This time however my husband got the wrong dish---he ate it anyway and I got a pizza that was soggy, greasy and undercooked. Our friend got a chicken dish that she raved about. The waitress realized my husbands was wrong but he had already started eating it and we didn't want to wait for a new one to be prepared. Everyone misses the mark sometimes so we will go back."

"This was our first time to visit Locanda Del Borgo and WOW am I ever so glad that we did. We live way south in the suburbs and though we have a few great Italian food places, the food and ambience here was spectacular and definitely worth the drive. The only thing I would change is to have the 2 top tables a little bit bigger. I felt a little crammed, but overall, a true neighborhood gem. We will be back. Thank you for your rating system as that is the reason I wanted to try it becuase of its high ratings and reviews."

"Went there with a few friends for my birthday. The meal was delicious! We all had to trade plates and try everything. The waiter brought a piece of tiramisu for my birthday - it was the best tiramisu I have ever had (soft and creamy and not overwhelmingly sweet). Everyone ordered a different dessert and we tried them all! I definitely recommend the bolognese pasta dish, the tiramisu, and the hazelnut gelato (heavenly). Yum! I will definitely go back."

"This was our first visit, and enjoyed it very much. We went initially for 5280 Week, however, the regular menu was available and we chose to order from that. The prices are good, the food is very good, and the service for a very busy Saturday night was outstanding. I will recommend Locanda Del borgo to our friends."

"We would have had a good dining experience except for an unfortunate lasagna situation. My mother had ordered it and although she liked the taste, it's wasn't as hot as the rest of our food. She asked the waitress to send it back. When the waitress came back wt her lasagna it was obviously the same piece, reheated in the microwave. Some portions were hard as a rock. My mom asked to see the manager. When the manager came over he was completely unapologetic and made a lame excuse that when they are that busy they need to use the microwave. Really? It's acceptable to reheat an item in a microwave twice?? He did not offer to get her a fresh plate of lasagna and half of it was inedible. Manger's lack of care about food quality ruined the night."

"Locanda Del Borgo is our neighborhood restaurant so we are regular patrons there. We went for 5280 week and my husband had the 5280 menu and I chose to stay with the regular menu and my beloved spaghetti and meatballs, along with the pear salad and hazelnut chocolate torte. It really does not get much better than that. Our server was wonderful and in spite of the busier than usual pace, she never made us seem like she was in a hurry. This is such a great place to eat at and one step inside the door and the smell of the brick pizza oven baking the wonderful pizzas makes you want to stay forever."

"We went for restaurant week. The prix fix menu selection seemed great, but we were both disappointed in what we ordered. We felt the server was "annoyed" by us and she wouldn't make eye contact with us.

"An Italian place ought to be able to put together a good veal scallopini, but no luck. The veal was rubbery and tasteless, the breading was doughy, and the tomato sauce drowned the whole. To give Locanda credit, they replaced the mess happily with a skirt steak that was better but not great. The large mound of fries were soggy and cold, the steak was too tough but OK. (For those who argue that skirt steak is supposed to be tough, check it out at Arugula in Boulder.) Excellent service."

"Plenty of good gluten-free options for my friend. The big Seafood Salad was caramelized seafood piled high on perfectly vinaigrette-ed greens with capers. Ate every morsel and wanted more.
