Gilly's at The B.O.B.
Gilly's brings the art of the bar to a whole new level with an outstanding menu highlighted by fresh seafood features, fish tacos, classic bar food and the essential highballs and cocktails. The atmosphere is classically low key and you can even find a jazz master or two doing their thing on a Thursday night. Add in GR's favorite traditional raw bar and you have the best casual bar and seafood joint in town.

"My boyfriend & I went for his birthday. It was a nice birthday deal they gave him. They are not doing the free birthday lobster but a nice equivalent. I didn't think the atmosphere or the food was exceptional but the waitress was outstanding."

"We have been celebrating birthdays there for years. Free lobster was the draw, and the companion dinner offered many choices. This year, there was no lobster. Instead we could get a meal free. We didn't realize the options were small plates - more like tapas. We wanted a meal! Fortunately the kind staff suggested they serve us from Judson's steak house instead. It was adequate. In the future though we will go to Mangiamos or roses instead."

"The four of us had and enjoyable experience with some disappointment. We went on my birthday prior to and event at Devos during Laugh Fest. I had looked very diligently at many restaurants websites, menus, and venues. I called to let them know it was my birthday as there was a rumor you had to let then know in advance of getting your free lobster. At this time, they (the b.o.b.) told me the policy had changed, that i would receive up to $25 off an entree as long as we purchased an entree. Once we got there, we were told the menu was totally different from the website menu. There were no entree's, only tapas. Two problems, I had already had a mind set for the type of meal I was going to order, and the birthday deal was a joke."

"There were several events going on in town and the restaurant was busy. We had never been there before. Our waitress was friendly and fun, and did a great job of explaining the small plates for us and making suggestions. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. Our food arrived quickly and all were good, but the pretzel-crusted walleye and crab cakes were fabulous! We will definitely go back again."

"Attended to celebrate out anniversary. We were looking for something different other than a big meal, and the "small plate" specials sounded just perfect...and it was! We got to enjoy a variety of dishes...and they were all absolutely deliciousl Service was excellent, which always enhances a fabulous meal. Would absolutely recommend that anyone that loves seafood, especially, try Gilly's. First time making a reservation online, and Gilly's staff provided us with exactly as we requested. Couldn't have picked a better spot on our own. It was a totally enjoyable experience that we will not forget."

"Always a great place to dine or just relax with friends and a drink. The location is great for anything you want to do and easy to get to. Love the way Gilly's has changed to small plates recently. Service is always fantastic and the food is always great too. I always tell friends and family to check it out and they are never disappointed. Keep up the great work at The B.O.B. "My husband and I have been visiting Gilly's for our special occasion nights out. Even when we were just dating. We come for our birthdays, anniversary, and recently Valentines Day. We love the food, but sometimes come just for the raw oysters! The staff is always friendly and informative when we have a question about a new menu item. Each visit has been better than the last!"

"Everything about our experience was great, and I was happy to find that the menu was not overloaded with food choices. When I go to restaurants I usually spend more time then needed searching for a food choice on an overwhelming menu. The menu was modest and the food and service was great."
