"We had the Eggplant Rotollo and Linguine with white clam sauce - We both agreed our meals were excellent! The clams were so fresh and the sauce had so much flavor. They make an excellent Cosmopolitan, it wasn't too sweet, just perfect. Deserts were fab too, we had the cheese cake and carrot cake. Our server, Nancy, was so friendly and helpful, you couldn't ask for better service. It was a lovely dinning experience,"

"Your restaurant was recommended to me since I was going to the theater afterwards and it was in such close proximity to the Bank of America. However, I didn't realize how delicious the food would be. I had a pasta alfredo dish and my friend had the veal parmesian. Both were excellent plus over-the-top portions. I ate more than I normally would just because it was so good."

"The food was delicious. I order the pork chops and was very happy with them. Perfectly cooked.
You could tell the pasta was fresh. Unfortunately the sauce was a little watery (you can tell they don't drain the pasta well enough - a common mistake in a busy Italian restaurant). I'll go back, but next time, I'll ask them to drain the pasta more or put the sauce on the side.
I wish I could make an entire meal of their green beans! and get the cheesecake. It's way better than any I've had on a long time.

"Rosebud Theater District hit the spot for our pre-theater dinner. My friend had the good idea to share our dinner (ie. order one salad and one entree for us to share). It was the perfect amount since the portions are enormous. We both left feeling satisfied without totally stuffed, which is perfect for before a show. It's a great pre-theater choice if you're going to a show in the area; otherwise, I wouldn't make it a destination."

"Great spot for dinner before an evening show or after a matinee. Great Italian menu for all tastes---chicken, beef, veal, fish and vegetarian dishes. Good wine list that has wines by the glass. Specials include several fresh fish items prepared with your choice of sauces.
The bar is accommodating for drinks and appetizers. The open area keeps the noise level down so you can have a conversation without shouting. In the Loop and want a place to eat, this is a great choice."

"Overall the food was good, and the service was friendly and helpful. However, having asked what dishes could be made without garlic, and being told everything, I was disappointed when the entree that was ordered with advice from the server came with a totally different sauce making it an unappealing pasta dish, which I was forced to send back. This involved making a new selection of main course after everyone else had been served, and then rushing to eat to catch up. If the server had been acccurate and made the effort to check with the kitchen in the first place, this disruption would not have happened."

"We came for supper before the opera. I have been here many times for lunch and drinks. The waiter was very good about making sure we were on time. Two people in our party took with leftovers. They were wrapped well so that fragrance did not pervade the opera house. The food is reliable, well done and good.The place can be noisy and drafty because it opens onto the building lobby."

"After encountering a little confusion (we went to Rosebud Prime, which is a far more upscale looking restaurant across the street), we settled into our table at RTD.
The waitstaff were quite attentive; they never let a glass run dry.
The food, however, was only so-so. Calamari was rubbery, minestrone and gumbo were competant (but nothing special) chicken saltimbocca was only average.
As hinted at by the name, it's a place to go if you have theatre tickets and need to get to a show on time. We'll try another restaurant next time we're in Chicago."

"Look. I love Rosebud but my experience was not so great. I made reservations for a business lunch and yes, we were late but we did keep you informed. We didn't get there until 1:30 which on one hand was great because the place was not as noisy as it usually is but on the other hand, we were made to feel that we were pushed to finish. I know your people want to finish cleaning up and leave but there was no need to rush us, we were not even close to the last to leave."
