"Took my wife out to celebrate 24th anniversary. Wanted someplace special. I heard Chandlers was the place, and it met my expectations. I ordered the New Zealand rack of lamb; my wife ordered the scallops. The lamb was very good, but not the best I've had. They were a little on the petite side. I traded bites with my wife and the scallops were buttery, flavorfull, and dreamy - as in I thought I was eating freshly harvested scallops by the sea shore in Malibu. I tried the 10 minute martini with Marks Maker whisky. Very good. Our waiter, Lucas, was friendly and knowledgeable. He helped guide me to pick out the best martini. He had been there 5 1/2 years. They comped us the chocolate soufflé - so I couldn't complain much. Order the mousse"

"We had a great experience, husband and I plus newborn. We were seated in a booth and no one looked twice at our infant. Had a wonderful dinner while he slept. Drinks, salads and main courses were great but we had the seafood for 2 appetizers and it seemed a little over priced. Great service too!"

"The restaurant has a beautiful decor. The food is amazing, the service is excellent. Our favorite appetizer is the Tuna Tower. Wow.

"The service i've received is amazing. I've ordered a Kobe Beef Center Cut and a 20oz steak(i've forgotten the name). The Kobe beef was way too chewy and the 20oz steak is likewise. The manager is very willing to change them out with fillet mignon which is very tender and lean. Less flavorful than then center cuts but at least we do not need to chew all day to eat a steak. Nonetheless they have the best service when it comes to satisfying the customer needs."

This time we were running late for our hotel check-in and called ahead to try and change our reservation, they were extremely accommodating and moved it to the next available time. Pretty rare for a busy, popular restaurant."

"It' the best in Boise. Two "10-minute" martinis (The Vesper: half gin, half vodka, lemon twist; Hendricks with cucumber) started the night--and there isn't a better bartender in town. Followed by the Oysters Rockefeller, which were divine to taste and see (served in their shells nested in spinach, red pepper and a delicate hollandaise allowing the fresh oyster flavor to shine. For the main course we selected the Bouliabase (lobster, clams, scallops, mussels, swordfish) served in the most delicious vegetable broth in a lovely French crock. The best New Zealand lamb chops prepared very rare paired with a L'Ecole private selection from the premium tasting list. Finished by sharing the chocolate soufflé which is a joy for the eyes and palate."

"My fiance and I went to Chandlers to celebrate our recent engagement. We wanted a nice quiet, romantic spot but ended up near the server station AND the door to the patio. The restaurant was fairly busy and when we asked to be relocated we were expecting to wait for a table. However our server instantly located a nice table for us and moved us with no fuss whatsoever. Best service in town! The food was decent, my fiance had the swordfish which was a bit dry and overly zested. I had the Cowboy Steak and it was so good I wanted to pick up the bone and gnaw on it. I would say we were very happy with the ambiance, jazzy music, food and especially the service! We will be going back after our wallets recover from what was a truly expensive night."

"We had eaten at Chandler's before and liked it. So we went back for a birthday dinner. We were disappointed. Salads were ok, And mashed potatoes were cold on our dinner plates. My husband ordered the bone-in rib eye..Cowboy Steak.. his steak had no bone. We thought maybe they took it off. But have eaten at very nice restaurants in Seattle and they serve it with the bone. Our Del Monaco steaks were very good. The best part of the meal was the dessert, a cobbler. We will not be going back. For the cost of the meal...it was not up to par."

"The food was well presented and delicious. I had duck which was presented two ways - sliced duck breast over a bed of red cabbage and shredded duck confit over wilted greens, with a side of polenta. My wife had the Atlantic King Salmon which she liked a lot but we were a little surprised that it was farm-raised, thinking that King Salmon was not normally farm-raised. It was very good in any case.

"I travel 700 miles 3x/yr to dine at Chandler's, oh, and to see family :-); I live in the Bay area so have a choice of outstanding restaurants but this one is my favorite.
The servers are professional and ensure the dining experience is perfect.
The food....I do not eat beef..except 3x/yr and I am never disappointed; the steak knives need not be used.
Being satiated by my meal, dessert is not an option fo rme, except,the fresh berries with house whipped whipped cream.
Thank you so much for making the trip through the desert in a uhaul worth every grain of sand!"

"That comment usually elicits a big "uh oh," yet I'm giving Chandlers 5 stars. The misses are 2 prominently featured items that were duds. First, the bad: Cowboy Steak - 20 oz. dry-aged bone-in ribeye - was actually a bit tough. That much marbling yet still tough?? The other disappointment was the chocolate souffle - almost no chocolate in the souffle, just in the chocolate sauce - total yuck. But the good news is VERY good: the Wagyu flat-iron steak might be the best beef experience of your life, the bouillebaisse tastes like you're in Marseille, the Caesars salad was so fresh the leaves were still twitching, the chocolate mousse made my eyes roll back in my head, and the trifecta was superb!!"

"Oh my! Where do I begin? From the moment you step through the glass doors, you know you are in a classy place. Spotless, demure lighting, beautiful cobalt blue accessory lighting. Waiters friendly but not intrusive; know their menus well. The food was exquisite! Delicious to the taste! My filet mignon cooked to my perfection; very flavorful and tender. Idaho baked potato delicious as was the asparagus, salad, sour dough rolls, just everything. The Cheesecake for dessert was to die for! Be sure to ask for the raspberry topping! I liked it better than the chocolate souflee, but that was special too. Very expensive, but you have to remember, you are not only paying for the food, but for the entire experience! Music delightful!"

If you aren't concerned about cost and want guaranteed service, good food, and ambiance this is your place.Our waiter, Scott, was outstanding. Their signature dessert was amazing! We found the ambiance/noise a little distracting due to some large parties dining near us.
