"Came with a group for lunch during Boston's Restaurant Week. The 2-course/3-course lunches were excellent. Lots of choices. The restaurant wasn't crowded but wait staff was a little slow with us.
She also managed to get grated cheese all over me. Here's a protip: when using a circular grater with a handle, keep the open end up until over the plate and put it up again before moving on to the next plate."
Special Features: fit for foodies, notable wine list, romantic, great for lunch

"The food was decent, but we (two couples driving separately) both had terrible experiences with the valet, who was AWOL for more than 20 minutes. Getting both cars parked took more than 30 minutes and it took just as long to pick up both cars at the end of the night."

"I took my 22-year old son out to dinner. We had a very nice and attentive waiter. I believe his name was Tony. I thought my son was crazy ordering rib-eye steak in a North End Italian restaurant. That is what he wanted. My son said it was absolutely outstanding. I had a bite and he was right. I was full after eating the Caprese salad and garlic bread and Bruschetta so I only had a few bites of my spaghetti with pesto and pine nuts. Those few bites were very good. We had a wonderful bottle of Ruffino Chianti Classico Riserva Ducale Gold. Excellent."

Review 9 for Villa Francesca
Overall Rating

"We ate early before a Celtics game in a snow storm. Were the only table for 45 minutes. A few more tables arrived before we left. Food was reasonably good and priced inexpensively. apps, mains and deserts for 2 under 60 before tip. Wife had Veal Marsala and I had the Lasagna. Large portions and pretty good tasting. Nothing spectacular however. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Dining room was nicely divided with solid walls which we imagine would keep the noise down on a busy night. Likely will not return but it was a good once."

Review 10 for Villa Francesca

"Not very impressed. Somewhat limited menu and overpriced even for the North End. I mean multiple $19 apps, come on. I wouldn't have minded if the food was good but it was pretty average. Seafood risotto was pretty bland and even the simple ziti with (anything) was not homemade and average. Oh well, tried a new place and am not headed back."
