"Overall an amazing experience... The salad with buttermilk ranch was awesome, wine and dessert was amazing! The main course was average, perhaps because I'm not used to boiling my steaks, the cheese fondu of choice was cheddar, it was okay but expected a different flavor, we just need to experiment with other options.. The service was awesome, my requests were accommodated and appreciated... I will definitely try this experience again, thank you so much, you're awesome!!"

"I always enjoy going to here you get a unique dinner experience, there's no one rushing you to get out and so you get plenty of time to just enjoy the evening with your girl/boy friend, wife, husband, or friends. Just the experience its self is worth doing once. There's no place like it. And if you really want to impress someone this is just the type of place I would suggest. And no I don't work here or own the place I don't even live here just a satisfied customer with this restaurant."

"Delicious and fun at the same time! Just make sure to take your time; we spent about four hours just trying different combinations of sauces and batters. Our server Kelly-Ann was delightfully engaging and really made our evening special. Overall, two thumbs up and will definitely be coming back again."

"I had requested the "lovers lane" ahead of time because it was a special occasion. It was just what I wanted. Romantic lighting,upstairs away from the noise in a sort of nook table. The food was AMAZING. Loved the fiesta cheese, got the classic and fusion for our entrees and couldn't have been happier. Dessert was my favorite along with the butterscotch martini. Definitely coming back."

"jaycee was great waitress, even though her helpers abandoned her late in meal, forcing her to bus dishes, which became voluminous near end....the concept for us is flawed, since there as SO many tastes and food groups served, poor stomach goes on overload with the chaos....but that's on me....the cheese and the desserts are nonpareil...the shrimp just right..the beef and sausage great too, but really became a food fight of gluttenous proportion.....anyway, JC" was worth the $40 tip on the $255 bill for the 5 of us...."

"Love the Melting Pot. It's a fun experience that every one should try. I took my friend for the first time for his birthday and even though it took a while for him to catch on to the menu, he enjoyed himself. The entrees are not the best. Kind of bland, small portions, and definitely overpriced. If you are looking for a big meal, not the best place. However, dessert is always to die for and worth every penny! You're paying for the experience if anything."

"Had a great evening! We started out with drinks at the bar as we waited for our table, we arrived a bit early. Bartender was awesome, he asked when our reservations were for so that he could keep an eye on the time for us. It came reservation time and he advised that he would follow up for us to see where they were at with our table. We asked him to hold off as it was the last few mins of the SDSU Aztec game. The hostess came to get us just as the game ended, which was about 10 mins past our reservation time, but again worked out perfect this time!! Gave our credit card to he bartender to close out our tap and he said he would bring down our receipt to our table. Sure enough once we were seated he was there with our card and receipt."

"Very disappointed by the service. They were not very busy and we had an appointment. We waited 15 minutes for our table and decided to sit at the bar to order drinks while we waited. Once at the bar we waited 5 minutes for the barista to take our order. She never gave us our drinks at 10 minutes later the hostess came up to seat us at our table. Once at the table we waited only a couple of minutes for our waitress. She asked if we had been there before and that is a no. She explained a little but not enough for us to understand how the cooking process goes or any recommnedations. So at the table once we were seated we waited about ten minutes for our waitress to come back and our drinks STILL DID NOT COME! Very unhappy with this place."

"Another great experience @ the Melting Pot. Great service, scrumptious food. The only thing that prevented absolute perfection was one other guest a few tables away whose voice was extremely loud, and he wouldn't stop talking - not MP's fault.
We loved the fact that we could pick and chose which dippers we could get w/ our chocolate, and they brought more when we ran out.

"We decided that we wanted to do something different for our Anniversary dinner. We had never been to a Fondu resturant and the Gaslamp location is owned by Cohen resturants so we thought that we would give it a try. We decided to do the four course meal, which I would highly recommend! The waiter was great, explained the process, the food and was very attentive, not intrusive. We each got the classic 4 course meal and all of the meat was very fresh and very tasty! The dipping sauces were perfect for the types of meat. But the best came last with the chocolate fondu at the end. Overall the meal was fantastic! We were stuffed by the time we left, the price of the entire meal with one of the most expensive bottles of wine was $138."

"Horrible price and little amount of food when I ordered three off the menu and barley got any food,more of a kids meal than for an adult the soup smelt like top roman packet,the wine was over priced and wasn't even given a full glass barley a quarter of my glass was full, the waitress kind of forgot about us for about a good 15 minutes, and when the food came it didn't even satisfy my girlfriend, this place is more of a place to go for a diet more than to dine out because its well overpriced and you don't get what you pay for."

"Great idea for a restaurant in the Gaslamp! Good location to other bars and entertainment so works well to get dinner then go out. The food was really good. We didn't get a reservation until late (note book early) so we ended up going early and sat at bar where they had a cook top. The best fun! The bartenders there are great and very entertaining. We were looking at the four course meal but decided for cheddar cheese fondue and then chocolate fondue. WOW, that was great. Word to wise though don't over due on the cheese fondue as you won't be able to drink as many beers later ;) maybe a good thing! Lots of fun and would recommend!"

"We stumbled in during Restaurant Week so got a good deal. I would've thought it was quite expensive if it were regular price.
The cheese fondue was very nice, thick and creamy, liked that a lot. It is also a nice touch that they prep the cheese mixture at the table, so you get to see all the ingredients. The broth fondue was not bad. Meats were fresh, marinades and dipping sauces tasted good, but did not stand out too much. We were too stuffed to try the chocolate fondue unfortunately."

"Great food and nice atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic date night out or for a group of friends. Our server was quick and very friendly and had personal recommendations for selections. "This was the first time my wife and I went to the Melting Pot. It was her birthday so I figured I would make reservations to ensure we had a table. We were put in a secluded and romantic booth. It was the best time I've had at a restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was amazing."

"This particular visit was not up to expectations. The service was rushed and ordinary at best compared to visits to other Melting Pots in other cities nationwide - and we're frequent visitors. The food tasted good, but the presentation would disappoint any MP regular including it's founding family members."
