Strip House Steakhouse at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, now part of BR Guest Hospitality, offers an innovative approach to American classics with prime cuts of beef charred to perfection, signature side dishes, an extensive wine list and the famed 24-layer chocolate cake. Corporate Executive Chef John Schenk, who was named one of Food & Wine Magazine’s Best New Chefs in 1995, has been with Strip House since 2004 and also oversees the New York City location. The space, designed by architectural visionary David Rockwell, is a mélange of sultry silks, rich leathers, rosy lighting and siren red walls. Exclusive 1900’s era black and white photographs of the original Studio Manasse Collection dress the walls. Strip House Las Vegas is a great venue for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties and business functions.
"Amazing time and again! We make a point to visit Strip House each trip to Vegas. We've been there for dinner around 8pm, where the scene is energetic, yet cozy. This year we felt lucky they were open late enough to get a reservation at 1045 pm. A Sunday night, the restaurant was sparsely occupied, but nothing lacked when it came to the experience. I rave about the Gorgonzola and Toast appetizer to friends back home in-between visits. Our steaks were perfection, and my mouth is watering as I recall the sides and type this two days later - garlic grean beans and rosemary salt potatoes. The generous serving of cheesecake topped off the meal. I will be counting the days until next time!"

"Food was awesome. Atmosphere was sophisticated. Servers were very polite. There are black and white pictures all over the restaurant with a bunch of pin-ups models, a few of whom are topless (not too obvious unless you're very observant), so I'd keep the kids away. But relatively speaking, it's about as tasteful as you can get (for having topless models on your walls, I guess)."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our service and dinner. Troy was our server, backed up by Brett and Michael. All were wonderful and entertained our tables antics. Cheese platter and oysters were delish, as were our entrees. The 24 layer chocolate cake was to die for and is definately big enough to share and still have some left over. Will definately go back!"

"This place was great from start to finish. Try the garlic bread appetizer. It's served on a pile of melted cheese. Absolutely delicious!!! Best filet I've had in a long time. Was recommended to me by a friend and can promise I will recommend to anyone looking for a great meal in Vegas. PH has a really cool vibe. Have never been to this casino And will definitely go back!"

"The off-menu 14oz dry-aged boneless ribeye is one of the best I've had. Also, you have to get the crisp goose fat potatoes. It tastes pretty much as good as it sounds. Service is very prompt; also, they will make recommendations but will not be pushy."

"Food was decent. Lobster was under cooked, warmed up and reserved. For the price of the meal you'd think they'd make a more concerted effort to correct an error as such. Enjoyed the food and ambiance but wouldn't go back. Nothing special."

"We had the Porterhouse for two and it was prepared perfectly as ordered. The setting was great for a quiet meal. We have ate previously at Ramsey' Restaurant and we enjoy the setting better ( no laud music)."

"From the moment we sat down, everything was perfect. We ate early because we had to catch a show, so we were the first to be seated. Our table was in the farthest corner of the restaurant, yet our waiter would magically appear every time we needed anything. It was like he could predict when & what we would need. He suggested making my typical drink a little different and it was the best I've ever had. We had the filet mignons, spinach & mushrooms. We wanted to order dessert, but we were too full. We will go back! Only downside was that they didn't allow us to bring a bottle of champagne with us, even with a corkage fee :( But they stored t for us until we could pick it up."

"We ate at this restaurant at the recommendation of a waiter at Outback on the strip.
Here's what we had. I started with the scallops appetizer and though they were good, I only got two scallops. My wife ordered the calamari and they were more plentiful and very good.
I had read the reviews and thought surely people who complained about the steaks were wrong. I had the bone-in ribeye while my wife had the surf-and-turf filet and lobster. The ribeye was way too salty, but the surf and turf was great. If you like calamari and surf-and-turf, you'll be happy. The ribeye was a disappointment at this price. Get bearnaise instead of their steak sauce."

"The Strip House is our favorite restaurant destination when visiting Las Vegas. If you want to treat yourselves to a fine dining experience and splurge a little this is a terrific spot. And if you are daring, take a look at their "Bucket List" of special wines! Enjoy."

"Staff were very accommodating as two people from my party were running late and they gave us a flexible start time.
Ambiance was excellent and the service was very good.
The dry-aged steak was tender and was full of flavor, however, the Lobster Bisque was below par for me and the potato side dish was small and lacked the flavor of it's entree counterpart."

"The food and the service was outstanding! The only negative was the loud table up front (which interrupted our meal a few times). I understand there's not much the restaurant can do about obnoxious customers though, so it's not a ding against Strip House. Our waiter was absolutely amazing! He was like a waiter ninja -- silverware would appear out of nowhere and we would be sitting there wondering where it came from! lol"

"Simply amazing. We read the reviews on various sites about the steak and it did not let us down! Cooked to perfection. I must mention the truffled creamed spinach which was the best I've ever had! The service was impeccable! The staff was very attentive. For dessert- no question- chocolate cake! It is 24 layers of chocolate goodness. If you go, be sure to also get the pineapple mojito!!"

"Quiet and convenient on the 2nd floor of Planet Hollywood. Food was excellent. I had the boneless ribeye and my wife had the filet mignon. We shared a Caesar salad, baked potato, and creamed spinach with bacon. Spinach was outstanding and steaks were cooked perfectly. I was more impressed with the craft beer selection than the wine list, although both had some good choices. Banana tart for dessert was actually a little bland. Service was excellent and our waiter was friendly and attentive. I would come back again."

"My wife was disappointed that they changed the preparation of their rack of lamb. They don't prepare it with the white bean stew anymore and she had to ask for more sauce. It was my wife's favorite rack of lamb but it's not that good anymore. Also my steak was not as tasty as i had it before. I guess they are cutting back on the salt. Suggestion--ask the customer if they have any salt restrictions in their diets and salt the steak accordingly. My steak was cooked good just didn't taste as good as the last time I ate there. We don't know if we'll return there unless they make changes."

"I am going to start this on a high note........Brian (server) was amazing! Extremely nice and courteous as well as a delightful attitude the entire time we were there. The food was also amazing and we do love the restaurant. We will return, however I do need to point out the uncomfortable moment when we approached the restaurant. There were two blonde girls at the desk and the one behind the desk that walked us to the table was fine, but the blonde standing in front of the desk was awful. As my husband and I walked up to her she looked at us with such contempt, such an ugliness that we instantly felt that we were not welcomed there. We were even dressed up because we were going to a show that night. Facial expressions need to be worked on"

"Overall enjoyed trip to Strip House. Our waiter was exceptional, guiding us through a truly memorable dining experience. I love the decor and the collection of photo art ... Provocative but not obscene and over the top ... Very sophisticated. One major drawback ... Planet Hollywood. Was surprised to find such a nice restaurant in a mall like atmosphere. We generally don't care for the smokey Las Vegas casino environment. This is only second Las Vegas visit. If you can overlook that ... and I suppose many do ... Strip House is a great place."

"The NY Strip my sister chose was very tender, well-seasoned and delicious. I chose the Petit Filet (8 ounces) and it, too, was tender and delicious. It was the perfect size. We chose steamed broccoli and shared a baked potato. Both sides were cooked perfectly. They certainly were abundant portions, and we could not finish them! Our servers were courteous, efficient and professional."

"My wife ordered the chicken, it arrived blackened, neither of us thought it was described as blackened on the menu. Since my wife hates spicey food, she did not eat much of it and did not want to trade for my fish. Our waitress never came by early in the meal after our food was delivered. She did not show up until we had finsihed. If she had checked on us after we received dinner instead of with the dessert menu, we would have sent her very expensive chicken dinner back. As it was, we had to leave for a show and did not have time to wait. I guess when I spend over $150.00 for dinner for two with only one drink, I expect dinner and service to be FLAWLESS. I have had better service at Ruby Tuesdeys. I would not reccomend."

"The food and service were excellent. However, there was a movie premiere next door and access to the restaurant was severely restricted. We spent approximately twenty minutes staring at the restaurant from a distance of about twenty-five yards behind a security line waiting for various "celebrities" to walk down the red carpet. While I understand that this is Las Vegas, there was nothing about the security nature of the area that should have prevented a relatively unrestricted flow of patrons to/from the restaurant."
