Cross over the bridge and through an inviting courtyard to find the vibrant, convivial setting of Alto Ristorante bar. This comfortable Italian restaurant offers light, fresh and flavorful dishes with an emphasis on "the season." Alto features its unique Formaggio & Salumi Cellar, a collection of Italy's best artisanal regional cheeses and meats. "We had a fantastic time. We had the Chef's Tasting Menu, which was a random assortment of whatever the chef felt like cooking. All of the food was fantastic, the wine was excellent, and the service was amazing. Jay, our server, made sure that we were taken care of and was a delight."

"My wife and I ordered the Chef's 4 course special with wine tasting. The Chef prepared outstanding courses and the waiter made excellent choices of wine. It was very relaxing and time between courses allowed us to enjoy each others company celebrating our 42 anniversary. After the meal we took a gondola ride and the gondolier sang us a romantic Italian love song.

"We had an overall very good experience. Some dishes were outstanding and all were good. The roasted tomato salad with basil and the parmesan risotto were excellent. The filling on the special ravioli was wonderful as was the sauce but the pasta on the ravioli was thick and tough. My wife's bib lettuce salad with lemon olive oil dressing was outstanding.
The serving staff was very well trained and performed in an exceptionally. We ate on the patio where it was quiet and very pleasant."

"Waiter was GREAT. Veal was dry and had too much pepper. Needed a nice wine sauce. Not worth $35. My wife had the veal shank pasta. Not very interesting. I spend $160 on dinner and it was not worth the cost of the food. All the staff were great and helpful."

"The food was amazing along with the service and the environment. Perfect place to spend my anniversary. Our server travis was polite and very helpful. The manager John and the rest of the staff helped me set up our table with flowers and gifts for my lady and the boat ride just topped off the night. Me and my lady loved every moment. "I really enjoyed this restaurant not only was the food AMAZING but the staff & service were fantastic. The staff was super polite and very attentive and the food came out very quickly. Even if it hadn't the ambiance alone was extremely relaxing and comfy, we could have spent much longer there without a problem. Alto is definitely on my top 5 list of restaurants now."

"This is billed as their upscale restaurant----not ! Their gimmick is the gondola ride which was closed all week. This is an average spot and no better than the regular dining area. The management should close this restaurant and try something else ! We would not return."

"We had a lovely dinner at Alto during a recent stay at the Hyatt. The food was excellent - especially the chef's choice antipasto. The gorgonzola cheese was the creamiest I have ever tasted. The wine list was extensive with lots of Italian choices. Our service was a bit spotty considering the restaurant was not busy, but we still managed to have a lovely time. The complimentary gondola ride was a very special touch!"
